Hello my lovely Patrons! Today is a special day because it is the last day I'm on pain medication for my wrist/hand! Yay!

This means I'm going to slowly ease back into the process of making art again and completing commissions. Yay!

Having been unable to work on art for two solid weeks has been a pretty depressing experience but thankfully it's also been a meditative one. I have literally been practicing mindful meditation as a means of coping with my Anxiety and Depression and one of the more fruitful end products is the guidelines you see before you (and attached)

I'm a big fan of Google Sheets because they're easy to access and and I can type whatever the fuck I want in a simple grid format, and save it onto my computer later or print it out.

I can even use Google Calendar to send my phone alerts and specific times of the day (say, now for example with a note reading: "think about eating lunch!")

My lifestyle and clientele require some flexibility here so I don't consider this a schedule so much a loose structure that helps guide my day-to-day process.

In fact if you have any feedback or input I'd be happy to read it.

(Ugg. Patreon's word processing/formatting never fails to shock me with it's ugliness.)

Anyway - today I've also "launched" the official website of Divergent Press: TA DAAAA!

But seriously though. Wordpress has always been the mainstay for creating websites and for a long time I was agonizing over having to hire a new web designer to either build up justinhubbell.com from scratch OR create a new website entirely. Both options are expensive.

Tumblr has the advantage of being a blogging platform I'm much more comfortable with, AND I can still employ professionals to make it look/function exactly like a regular website.

For example the enormously successful Sarah Anderson employs this exact technique with her website.

With cross posting accross multiple platforms at all time the importance of a centralized website is becoming less and less necessary. It's well past the point where I can't take a business seriously if they don't have a semi-active presence on at least ONE social media outlet such as Twitter or Facebook (blech!)

Thanks for reading! Apologies on not having too many updates lately but frankly there wasn't a lot of positive feelings for a while and I didn't want to project too much of the ol' Doom and Gloom™
