The Fog - The Running - The Work - The Recovery (Patreon)

First of all thank you everyone who has been leaving comments. It was kind of you, and important for me to read them. After many months of being enveloped in a miserable fog, things are finally clearing up.
I've come to understand that I was running from my problems, instead of accepting them. And if you can't accept your problems, it is impossible to embrace their solutions.
When I went back into therapy I was given Dialectical Behavior Therapy worksheets to track my emotions. To my astonishment it gave me the opportunity to create small comics, as there were panels atop the sheet large enough to illustrate what I was going through.
It's astonishing to think that these have been the only comics I've been making all year, but that is the reality. And to be honest, I'd forgotten about the work.
I am a cartoonist. I make comics. That's my calling.
Having ADHD makes things interesting because there are dozens if not hundreds of projects that I suddenly think up and start. And while these projects are fun and at times a necessary part of my writing process - facts are facts. I've been physically injuring and re-injuring myself with my monolithic Earth art installations. I've had to step back from that and scale them way down, and ask for help. Which as it turns out it completely doable.
I am in recovery now. I'm happy to say my mental health is at long last stable. But I still need time. We're going to be traveling to Cape Cod soon and my plan is to use that time as a social media cleanse.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for pledging. Thank you for showing up.
I'm coming back friends. I'm coming home!
