Page 37

Three frames make up this page.  The Witch stops mid sentence as a gentle breeze wobbles cattails in the first frame, before becoming a stronger wind that strips a tree of its leaves in the second.  Holding their hat to prevent it from blowing away, the Witch appears calmly alert.

Page 38

In three frames the Witch takes action.  The wind blows the Witch’s completely off their head as they take up (what appears to be) a broom.  The Witch braces their legs in a stance as the inch worm clambers onto their shoulder.

WITCH (to the inch worm): “Hop on! And hold tight!”

The Witch mounts their broom (which appears to be a shovel?) and in an explosion of black smoke

POW!

ARTIST'S NOTE:

Still unsure of the 2nd frame in page 37.  It looks pretty to me and I don't feel the need to change it immediately (I'm pushing forward) but it might be something I alter later.  I don't know if it's being conveyed strongly enough that the wind is picking up.

I'm totally on board! Also, I saw what you said about 2nd frame in page 37 and stopped reading there and scrolled back up to look at frame 2 and thought to myself "Looks like it's getting really windy" and then scrolled back down to read the rest of what you said you were concerned about. So, if that helps at all, I do think the 2nd frame and the hair flying about in the 3rd do convey that to me!
