LET'S SEE HOW THIS ONE WORKS, BROTHER*

* "Brother," in this case translates (roughly) to "friend" and contains no gender in spite of being traditionally gendered.** Here the artist refers to the works of Osamu Tezuka—in particular—the Manga series Dororo (どろろ), Mac DeMarco's "Brother" from Salad Days, and also the outlandish/excessive use of "brother" in WWF Professional Wrestling "promos" circa 1983-1990.  Much of this is satire, but only actually amusing to one person.

** {Artist’s Note:} People—but especially Witches—who tell you which words contain gender and which don’t are NOT to be trusted under any circumstances.
