The good news is the gold of the Orc Horde is safe!

...the bad news is we can never ever see any of it again!  WHUPS!

This is going to be a three part triptych!

I realized maybe two hours into this illustration that there was no room for the J THEM THEY character, and that no caption would suffice.

This (as the story goes) is how I lost sway over my Orcs.  They're still quite peeved at the loss of their riches and subsequently our war with the Vampires has been indefinitely postponed.  I believe I can tell this story in the next two squares.

Honestly it's probably for the best.

Love is by far more important than power.  I was foolish to believe I could tame a Dragon, even if I'm powerful enough to summon one.

And besides that, the intricate detail of this piece really has taken a bite out of my regularly occurring (simpler) cartoons.  So I'm pausing on this and savoring the slow steady process of this triptych.

...I almost started to color the damn thing!
