Family affair (Patreon)

Ok, I teased you on GoComics yesterday that I'll upload the designs for Charlene's siblings here...all three got kinda rejected because they looked too much like Charlene XD

Well, I ended up keeping them anyway, but I made minor changes.

The original names were (from left to right) Charlita, Charles and Charlice.

However, my husband suggested to name them after saints (to match Gabby and Micha who are named after archangels)

Sadly, except of Charles, who got renamed into Nickolas, the other two haven't gotten a new name...yet.

Backstories...The youngest of the three of them was an idea of my husband, so I have honestly no idea who she really is. However, since the age difference is so large between her and her siblings, I assume she was a surprise for the parents while the other three kids were planned.

Nickolas was always meant to be a Priest. I don't know why, I somehow thought that would be a neat occupation for a character (although I doubt I will ever base a bigger story around him and he'll always show up as a BG character)

Bazooka-Lady...well, she sure was an eye-catcher in yesterday's strip. She's Charlene's older sister (but younger than Nickolas). She's the black sheep and was always a wild one. Unlike Charlene, their parents gave up on big sis rather early and let her just do her thing (in hopes that she one day settles down again)...There is a rivalry  ongoing between the two sister, mostly coming from the older one, who's genuinely jealous of Charlene since she was always the nice and obedient one (and therefore favored by the parents). She would've not shown up at Charlene's wedding...if it wasn't for schadefreude...and for business. Big sis runs a gun store and, well, shotguns and ammo were flying off the shelfs on the day Charlene's wedding got announced. So she felt somewhat obligated to show up...

I love to play with opposites in characters and therefore would love to bring her back in one of the present storylines. So far she's meant to come back in year6 of the strip....but I hope to get her  into an arc prior to that :)

Anyway, hope you like the little designs, although I had to change some details (such as Nickolas' haircolor and nose and 'big sis's got rid of her freckles :)
