...I want to be honest, I did not expect that this is one of the strips that actually ended up offending someone ^^"

Someone claimed it was an insult that downplay bullying to someone saying 'that's so cute'. Granted, chances are that person was just trolling or is really sensitive about bullying. It is a serious issue and a lot of people suffering due to it. But I was seriously amazed. I mean, we don't mean any harm but I understand that some of our strips are a bit iffy and wild. However, I didn't consider this being one of them....by far 0_0

I have to say, Hubbs is cute and shame on anyone who dares to cyberbully kids for being kids. just to make that clear :)

But she's saying "Awww, but it's so cute". She's not saying "you're so cute" (though maybe thinking it). She's talking IMO, about the incident, not about Hubbs personally. I don't see any bullying there. As HK said, some folks will complain about everything.

One time on FB I put up a comic from Webtoon called "Internet Explorer" by Merryweatherey. ..Episode 2. It was amazing but a couple of my FB friends saw that as being supportive of bullying! If they would have bothered to read the comments made on the comic at the time they would have seen that none of the commentators took the side of Firefox. As a college teacher I soon learned that if there is a way of misinterpreting something someone would find it. It made me very careful when I wrote up my class syllabus, lab manuals and class assignments. People tend to delve too deeply into the meaning for a comic, movie or anime. It's meant to entertain and unless you're reading Pogo (who does anymore) there is probably not as much below the surface than you think there is. I don't know why people blame the creator when they misinterpret something!

One reason I like Bea. When I get uppity and criticize her too much, she quickly smacks me and I straighten out. Seriously, you are so right. Comics, movies, books, etc, unless they are specifically identified as being fact, are just for fun. Read, view, and enjoy. You don't like it cut it off, close it or throw it away.

Exactly, she's rather sweet about it. But, yeah, to him everything connected to that video was an insult ^^"
