Boxes, boxes everywhere. Granted, we didn't dig into the whole box metaphor deep enough prior to this arc (neither do we afterwards since it would look too forced by now ._.)

It's a bit sad since it was supposed to be a rather big part of Hubbs' character. But...well, we failed XD

Well, let me share with you some of the thoughts anyway. As some readers already noticed, Hubbs last name 'Durum' is a wheat. Durum is best used for pasta, but can also be used for bread. However, it's not the best wheat for baking bread. Bread (well, some of it) is baked in a pan -a box-.  It's a whole metaphor of of him being put into a lifestyle he's fine with but not happy.

About the question who put him into the 'box'. The answer is mom. She probably was super supportive until the whole viral-thing hit and her son turned into an online laughing stock. The most protective thing would be to get him away and perhaps teach him one or two things about reality (in the matter of how impossible it is to be become a pro-athlete and how a more mainstream profession might be more up his aisle). Can you really shame her?

Sadly I didn't take more photos of the WIPs of this arc. (I'm a bit of an airhead ._.) I don't want to give away too much. But this arc has a fair amount of foreshadowing and a joke which won't pay off for a while (I hope the wait will be worth it tho ;))

This brings to my mind dreams long lost.

A sad story. But there are two bright lights at the end of the tunnel. Hubbs, understands hard times and is getting through it - a great example for his kids eventually. The second light is Ellie - she understands and is okay with it and optimistic. She doesn't understand some stuff, but she understands "feelings."
