Good evening, dear friends! After careful consideration of your votes, and the poll on YouTube, I've decided to go ahead and produce a Pride Month video which will hopefully be ready within the next week or so. The script should be done this weekend, and recording and editing should take me at least until Friday.

I'd love to end June on a high note, and I'm quite pleased with how this script is coming along. I sincerely hope that it won't prove controversial: it is less a sermon, and more a cultural history lesson, with a lot of fun and interesting video game case studies along the way.

This video will be about 20-25 minutes by my estimate, and it discusses the very curious nature of transgender character portrayal in Japanese video games in the context of both history and culture. We'll be discussing case studies like Birdo, Poison, Bridget, and Vivian, while also considering Western examples like Celeste -- the video should, I hope, strike a better balance between the more dense history and sociology content, and the more relatable, wonderfully dorky video game content.

As ever, I welcome your thoughts and concerns: please don't hesitate to reach out! I cannot wait to share the completed video with you.
