The next video is undergoing a final pass of editing, and I expect it to be released by Tuesday.

As videos can be, the topic has slowly shifted during production, away from Eastern vs. Western portrayals of trans characters, to why Japanese games feature so many trans characters (but so few gay characters, relatively).

I've run the video past a few different peers, and I'm hopeful that the video can be both respectful, and informative: interesting for audiences of all political persuasions.

In consideration of the subject, what would you think a good title might be? I'll be brainstorming the subject!

As always, your thoughts, as patrons, are deeply welcome!

Ultimately youtube is a balancing act between being attention-getting and honest/accurate. Personally I would prefer a more direct or simple title like "An exploration of LGBT representation in Japanese media", but I also can't deny it might seem boring to the average viewer and the eye-catching aspects of something more clickbaity like "Why do Japanese games have so many trans characters? The Otonoko Phenomenon" might catch them instead. The first is simple and doesn't make any bold claims for people to take issue with but might seem bland. The second poses a question and implies an answer which encourages those curious to click through. My personal recommendation would be to aim to have a question to answer with the thesis of your video, but as I don't know the actual content within you might not have an overarching idea like that.

Thank you Cynthia, thank you Ouroboros. These comments are both very helpful. I've found that while I personally also prefer the simple and direct titles, audiences, generally, do not. I will likely end up phrasing the video as a question, and I will use both of your inputs as suggestions. The video itself is actually ready: it just needs the sponsor's OK. I might just post it for all of you to enjoy early -- I should make a habit of that, quite frankly.
