Hey everyone,

I know you guys hate placeholders, and I keep promising to catch up, then failing to deliver.

June was a disaster, with the debilitating health issues I described, which ruined all my plans to catch up on the backlog. The antibiotics seem to have worked though and I feel much better now, so I hope to be able to finally repay you for your support.

Yes, we do hate placeholders. But most of us understand your situation and I for one appreciate your letting us know what’s going on. There were so many months where we didn’t know if you were even alive. The folks that hate your placeholders are probably all gone now. All that’s left is those who support your work and think a couple of bucks per chapter (at any pace) is a steal. Keep it up, dude. Hope you can feel better soon.

At this point you would be better served cutting your average chapter size in half to move through the backlog and make forward progress. Charging 2 chapters per month is basically promising a higher output than you have every delivered and it's just dishonest to pretend that you are magically going going to be able to do that in July. If you want to get paid for 2 chapters write 2 chapters.

I've been giving $5 per chapter since 2017. You currently owe me $40 in chapters. Sorry for your health problems, but per Patreon you earn $7090 per chapter. Another two placeholders this month is another $14,180 per month. After taking $14,180 from us last month. I bet almost all of your readers wish they earned HALF THAT in a month. And they're actually working full time. I've been empathetic for a long time now. You've lost my sympathy.

Less than half a chapter each month for past two months while precharging for four....hole is getting pretty deep. Hope he releases rest of 169 on 7/31 11:55 pm so I can read a full chapter for a change....

Chester is responding to @Chester Orland who is also whining and bitching and moaning. So, TO BOTH CHESTERS: Chesters, you ignorant sluts. Neither of you calculate correctly because you assume EVERY post in a given month can result in a charge. This may be the case for you because of your ignorance and failure to take control of your lives. However, this is not the case for the majority of Teflers supporters, who happen to be intelligent and do not spend their time whining, bitching, and moaning. Let me break it down for you. For a first placeholder in a given month, Tefler gets $7090. However, many people who have a brain and spend little time bitching unceasingly in comments have used the feature in Patreon to limit the number of posts they will pay for in a given month. For example, I currently pay for one post a month. Tefler has posted two placeholders or a chapter and a placeholder in a month. I only pay for one per month -- so I am not affected by additional placeholders. May other intelligent supporters do precisely as I do. I have no problem supporting Tefler with what is, in effect, a monthly contribution. So, because there happen to be many intelligent people who are Tefler supporters and are happily not bitching, Tefler does not get $7090 for each post in a month. He gets $7090 for his first charged post in a given month. Thereafter, he only gets additional money from idiots who spend most of their time bitching on this forum. Thank you for supporting Tefler. My guess is he is getting $7090 per month plus less than $3000 per each additional post charged in a month from idiots who spend most of their time whining and bitching (and some people who have chosen to support up to 2 posts per month). If he did a third charged post in a given month, I would guess that he is only getting money at that point from idiots, losers, and whiners. Chesters, you are both foolish people. Please update your calculations. I think you will find that a) you both are idiots and whiners (and most likely losers) and b) you are incorrect. To limit the number of times you can be charged per month before the end of the year to take care of that pesky second placeholder. Go to Membership -> Edit -> Payment Amount -> Set Monthly Limit and enter "1".
