Hey everyone,

I've got a significant chunk of chapter 151 completed already, which includes a number of scenes I chopped from chapter 150.3 and 150.4.

I need to fit them together and do an editing pass, but I'll add them in as soon as I can.

To avoid publishing only 1 chapter in April and 3 in May, I'll charge for this chapter now, but you should get it very soon.

It's been great having my muse back again!

Regards,

Tefler

Thanks for the notification, Tefler! We'll look forward to it every day.

Thanks for the heads up Tefler.

Thanks for the warning. I have restricted my payments this month to only once, then tomorrow I’ll increase my donation to $2 so you’ll get it on the first complete paid chapter you post next month. If something messes up, I’ll fix it.

So…very happy to hear most of 151 is in the bag, but given the way 150 finished leads us to 3 possible scenarios for your muse to have unfolded. And…one of them has been talked to death amongst we avid readers, and since this IS the first time John has fallen asleep after recruiting outside the Shroud…who will be the first individual to encounter our heroic Progenitor on the Astral, Xar or Athena, and who should we fear more…:0

TF4EVA

oh no you didn't!! Yes you did - just made my day much better. I have 150.4 and I can look forward to 151 which is nearly done and will be on its way. Thanks

I dont see anything to download, so it must be coming

Jedi Khan

Looking forward to it. Hopefully your muse plans to stick around for awhile. Sucked big time when she was on vacation.

Adam Palmer

Looking forward to 151 and beyond. Given how egotistical this progenitor is, and knowing John and the girls want to stop the deaths of thralls, wonder if John should challenge him to single combat against him and the girls, as well as Alyssa cutting him off from his thralls by breaking the pshyic link?

Kensyi

So, I feel like Valerie will be one of John's girls, I have nothing to back this up with. It was just a passing thouhht

Fantastic job on the last couple of chapters. The story is really starting to move forward at warp speed. I know that "world building" can be a grind but it is really starting to pay off. Thank you for weaving a marvelous tale.

Thanks, Tef. Great way to come out of tax season!

Great chapter. So is the Soul Forge all white now? And what’s the difference between the white wormhole generator and a black one? Hopefully it has some advantages - like faster charging or less illness during operation. Do you think Mael’ was the first one to do what John just did since he was able to create very strong single forged white metal? I’m sure Mael’ used the original Soul Forge with modifications probably not unlike what Dana did.

John Walker

There was this discussion If a Progenitor were to load up another Larathyran, what would happen then? Would you have to fight with him over who has the rightful claim?” John hesitated, then shook his head. “I don’t think they’d even try.” But I think it was established way back that once a thrall species is claimed no other can take them. This was like a flash of inspiration from John before he absorbed his guide. So it would seem this discussion is inconsistent with that.

John Kempkes

I think he said that Progenitors left claimed species alone. Even after defeating their master, the species would be left for a son to claim them later.

John Kempkes

Dana “fixed” the forge and its product. It would be interesting to see how their metal compares.

John Kempkes

Why is John going back to referring to Dana as Sparks all the time now?

Who Me

Personally - I was a little disappointed with Chapter 150. I thought 150 was supposed to be a huge, fantastic battle chapter with the multiple parts and making it super sized. No battle, no drama, just a lot of Auralei's sleeping. Not to mention John moaning and groaning about sacrificing himself only in the Soulforge with no help from his harem powering it.

Mark Strom

Just a thought, mael defeated 3 score of empires how many abandoned fleets are there?

McClowd

Here is a theory i have been mulling around for a while. I remember that a month or two ago someone was mentioning about the program that was watching Irillith as she was in the cyberworld the last time and i wanted to get other's opinions about my idea. I think that that program that was watching her was Mael. Yes Mael, because he is the one that invented the first AI I that it is reasonable to assume that if John and the girls can build Faye a living physical body then it is possible that Mael could do the reverse digitizing his own mind. It also could explain why Larn was out under the shroud before John ever gained his Progenitor status, because he was looking for Rahn or Mael, as Xari 'ruth would know if they are dead or not by their presence on the Astral. I just wanted to run this idea and see what people thought about it. Please let me know.

Sceptre

Just a thought on Rahn's take of 150.4; (spoiler alert) Also, please be kind, thank you. "What!? How did he get back to Maliri space so fast!?" Rahn'hagon said lurching to his feet as his mind whirled. "Who, John?" Jessica replied. "Yes, he just appeared out of no where." Rahn'hagon said as he reached over to his console to bring up readings for the area. "I don't understand, we watched as he took that gate to who know's where... " he trailed off while sifting through the information and charts. "Wait a minute, look at these power signature readings." Rahn staggered back bracing himself against the console of his command chair. "What!? What is it!?" asked Jessica. "He's built a wormhole generator!" he said incredulously. "But how!? He doesn't have enough thralls to forge a Thrall class destroyer engine, much less a Progenitor device of that magnitude!" Rahn's mind running through the calculations as knew well the costs to build such a component. It was necessary to use the most dense version of the metal, and consequently, hundreds, if not, thousands of thralls, to make the flagships equipment. The stresses and requirements for such a device beyond anything these primitive civilizations had to offer. He just couldn't figure out what John had.. Jessica zeroed in on something Rahn had said. "Rahn, what do you mean he doesn't have enough thralls?" Her mind recalling something Alyssa had said during their brief, but wonderful time together before everything fell apart. Rahn looked chagrined, "I.. Jessica, I. I'm not proud of what I was before. But building this ship John sent us away in, took somewhere around a million thralls." He hedged as he carefully studied Jessica's face for her reaction. "What's that supposed to mean? "Took"." she pressed. "How long would it take a million thralls to construct a ship like this?" "It was made in something called a Soul Forge." he said with resignation. "A brutal device that leeches psychic energy from thralls in a Progenitors network." Rahn paused seeing Jessica's expression. Something between rage and nausea. "Go on." She said. "What do you want me to say?" he asked. Hoping beyond hope that she might let it alone and not press him for what he was certain she would not want to hear. "What happens to the girls, Rahn? When the Soul Forge leeches psychic energy from them, what happens to them? " Her slow cadence making it seem like she was speaking slowly so a child could understand. He had to look away. "It pulls the life force out of them. They die in agony and the energy from that anguish along with the psychic energy drawn from them, forge the most resilient material in the universe." He looked back at Jessica and quickly reached out to steady her as she wretched violently. "I just can't take it any more Jess, I know he said he'd kill me if I entered his territory again but I can't take all this not knowing. I have to understand how he's so powerful." His mind trying to come to grips with the enigma that was his son. Muttering to himself, he thought *Did John sacrifice some of his "girls" to rush back to the Federation's aide?*. * Some?* he mused *it would take all of them. And even then it shouldn't be enough. If not, then he must have... No. That's not possible either, he's only been gone for a few days? No way he's encountered another Progenitor and acquired a wormhole generator there* puzzled he sat back down. "So you think John's sacrificed some of his women?" she scoffed. Then her heart lurched at the look on Rahn's face. "You really think he has?" "I can't think of any other way he could have made it." Rahn said. Knowing how that would destroy Jessica if it turned out to be true. She looked like another round of nausea would take her. "I'm sorry Jess, I just have to know." he said as he swept his hands over the runes that would initiate contact with his son's relic of a ship. Knowing the danger this call would place him in, he'd figured he'd covered all angles. Rahn knew that his wormhole generator was fully charged and ready should John decide to make good on his promise and attack. Since John had just used his jump and it would need time to recharge, he could keep himself and Jessica safe if it came to that. She said, "please don't upset him Rahn" then steadied herself as she straightened up and worked to settle her disheveled appearance in the unlikely event their son accepted the call. *** "We're being hailed." Rachel said shooting a anxious glance at Alyssa. *It's Rahn!* she thought. Giving her matriarch a panicked look. "Who is it?" John asked without looking up from the reports Dana was scrolling through for his review. *Let me handle this* Alyssa thought sending Rachel a reassuring smile. "They don't seem to be getting the message John. Let me try to see if I can make it clear." Alyssa said. "Who doesn't?" John asked. She pressed the button to answer the call as she said, "your parents." John's head snapped up. "I believe John made it perfectly clear that he wanted nothing more to do with you. You had no desire to contact him for 40 years and when he finally found you, you rejected him and tried to kill him!" she said turning to watch John's face as she raged at his parents. "I was upset and.." Rahn said. "Excuses!? John doesn't want to hear your excuses! How can you not understand what he wants when he's told you repeatedly!?" Alyssa emphasized as she as she moved her hand to end the call. "Wait!" Jessica said. "Please wait!". "We were wrong. We're sorry, so very sorry" she glanced at Rahn. "Tell him Rahn, please" she begged. "I was wrong, I see that now." Rahn said. "I don't expect forgiveness, but I wanted to say it just the same." Alyssa could feel the emotions pouring over her bond with John. His heart in turmoil as he wished to be rid of them never see his father again while, at the same time, wanting hear them say anything that made him believe they cared about him. John sat gripping the edges of his command chair with a pained expression. "So you've said it, goodbye." John said through gritted teeth. John moved to end the call as Rahn said "I'm glad you didn't use Alyssa," then, glancing around the bridge, "or any of the other girls there. I'd really like to understand what Alyssa is and I'm glad to see she's ok." "What?" John asked. "Use them for what?" "John, I know what it takes to get back here so fast." Rahn said with a conciliatory expression. "The unbelievable amount of power and.." Jessica nudged him with her elbow and, glancing at her he said, "and, I'm sorry for your loss." Rahn shared a look with Jessica and saw her heartbroken expression. John hadn't missed her conflicted expression and tried to puzzle out what had upset her. *Did she actually care about anything other than Rahn'fucking'hagon.* he thought to Alyssa. "Jessica tells me they were all lovely girls and I know they were wonderfully gifted. I still don't understand how you gave them their abilities but it must have been hard for you to let any of them go." Rahn said. "I have so many questions, but knowing how much you cared about them and how you are likely grieving, I won't press. But please tell me how you did it with so few thralls? I have to know John." John could see the turn in the conversation; could feel it as they went from "we're sorry we've been assholes to you your whole life and then tried to kill you" to "we've said sorry, now satisfy our curiosity because I need to know." Sighing he thought *still, it's all about them.* Not understanding what Rahn were referring to John said "What loss are you talking about? Faye wasn't a thrall, she was an AI. And what would her dying have to do with getting bac..." John realized in sudden horror and disgust what Rahn was really asking him and bolted from his seat as Alyssa, hearing his thoughts, screamed "You thought John would sacrifice his girls to make gear!?" Gasps were heard from everywhere on the bridge. Rahn and Jessica shared a startled expression as they reeled from the sudden outburst. Rahn said in confusion, "You must have made your own wormhole generator, it's the only explanation for how you got back here so fast! I know what that takes John, you can't re-write the rules for everything." he said with an almost bitter expression. "You must have sacrificed thralls, there's no other way!" John, looking incandescent with rage, his eyes shining like a sun seemed to bore into his fathers eyes and with sadness on his face said, "you know that do you?" *Matriarch's start sending me power* John thought. Alyssa gaped as she gradually opened the connection between them and watched as John, arms outstretched, rose from the command podium. His knees bent slightly as he looked up and, as his body seemed to shimmer, disappeared from the bridge. *** Rahn grabbed Jessica and, gripping the console, braced them as the dreadnaught began to rumble. A mild tremor at first, then began to shake violently. Rahn looked around trying to understand what was happening to the ship. Checking his console, there wasn't a ship within a hundred lightyears in any direction. Thinking another Progenitor must have been cloaked and used stealth to approach, he checked the damage report to see where the ship must have been hit, then looking up, he stared directly into John's face as he manifested on his dreadnaught. Rahn struggled to come to grips with what he was seeing. How he had miscalculated the danger he was stepping into. He'd assumed, being in Federation territory while John was in the Protectorate, he would be safe. He'd assumed John, having just used his wormhole generator to jump would not be able to reach him before he could escape to safety. He'd also assumed the 1000 light years between them would be enough, even considering how fast the Invictus was, should John have any other tricks he didn't know about. He'd assumed... frozen in terror and mortified that he would soon be joining Xar'Azuith, Rahn's heart was hammering in his chest. Alyssa blinked as she now saw John aboard the dreadnaught in full lion's gear and Kyth'vandathys' runes pulsing with a fierce hunger. With a reverberating voice that seemed to come from everywhere John intoned, "I only ever wanted to make you proud, 40 years of fighting my own nature in the hope that I wasn't a disappointment to you and be accepted for the life I'd led" and turning his eyes to his mother said, "Somewhere in that enthralled heart there is a flicker of the person your mother and father raised. That that person could ever believe me capable killing the women I love, draining their lives in agony so I could upgrade my ship... John face showed pure disgust as he said, "you don't know me at all. And I'm finally past the point of needing to know you." The girls sat riveted to the call as they watched John. Knowing he had no bounds anymore. All because of their love. He had achieved complete psychic ascendancy and they surged with pride for him. Rahn finally found his voice and implored his son "John, please, don't do this. I don't understand how you're able to do these things but I see now, you will fulfill the dream that I had for you. I was a fool, it goes against everything in me to say, but please, let her leave in peace and you can do as you will to me. Please, don't kill Jessica." Jessica sobbed. Her heart breaking for Rahn but unable to beg for his life this time. "John please.." "I told you if you ever entered my territory again it would cost you your life. Yet here you are." John's reverberating voice said without emotion. Clenching his sword, arc's of flame leapt about the bridge in its quest to fill its all consuming hunger. "I came here to show you that you are never out of reach. That, when I say "If I catch you in my territory", that's exactly what I mean. Do not let me find you here again." John turned and with a peaceful expression on his face, focused inward. He began to lift from the deck of the bridge. His eyes blazing and casting the entire bridge in a brilliant blue glow. "You wanted to know what I sacrificed to build the generator? Fine, I'll tell you, and it's the last word you'll ever hear me say. I sacrificed myself." With that John shimmered and disappeared. *** Rahn gaped, never in a million lifetimes would he have taken a chance and connected himself to a Soul Forge.. in place of a thrall. It seemed beyond preposterous. That monstrous device was an instrument pure torment. To think John had willingly powered that machine in place of a disposable thrall, and for what? HIs mind reeling, he stared at Alyssa over the call and could see pride shining in her eyes. "How is it even possible he survived being connected to that hideous device?" he asked. Alyssa glared back at him and, ending the call, said "he didn't."

Everything that happens in this story is due to one thing and one thing only……SPACE MAGIC 😁

Michael56Smith

.62: Hey Tef, the Maliri, and all the seed races, for that matter, are physically similar, correct? Well, I was just curious about something that is very, very minor, however it is quite significant to the individual. I am talking about right and left handedness; would all thrall species be right-handed? or left? Or might the whole of the Maliri be right-handed, and all the Galkarins lefties? Could Rachel tell us something intriguing about them from this minor difference (in their DNA), ... I doubt that they would follow the Terran example of a percentage born of each, ... after all, we were just an experiment because Mael'nerak was bored, ... Or considering our Maliri pistoleer, Tashana, could they all be ambidextrous? And I would wager a large Lunch at a drive-up window that Tef comes up with something along the lines of that it changes to follow the Asshat that claims them, so if Gahl'kalgor was a left-handed monster, then when he claimed them, all of the new Galkarins would also become lefties, ... Anyway, inquiring minds want to know, ... (PS: left handers are in their right minds) '-) TTFN

Who Me

Power to the Left !!!!!!!

Michael56Smith

.73: And another thing, ... had the isolation of the Maliri, under the shroud changed them from the other seed races. (Away from Xar'aziuth) Over 70 millennia, if there was a genetic drift, Rachel will find it. Tef has not offered up any hints as yet though. ;-) TTFN

Ferrum1

The 150 was fun. A bit heavy on the socializing, I thought. It was enough to draw away from the sense of pressure and foreboding, imo. Still, not bad. I think I read 3/4 of the story without a problem. It makes sense that John would need help with something as big as the Soul Forge and I like how that turned out. Now it's just a question of if John will let slip the reins on his anger when he gets back into the territory amidst all the carnage. I envision a big battle, the good guys losing horribly but holding on still for dear life. Then, out of nowhere, on all channels, all frequencies, there's broadcast the roar of a lion. The enemy ships start simply exploding in space as everyone in the Allied Forces tries to stop the ringing in their ears.

Michael56Smith

.88: in an unrelated Fantasy series there is an Anonymous Magician, his protection Magic works best when it is not Known, and it takes major advantage of coincidence to keep our hero out of trouble. I am wondering, if besides the Author's need for the story to twist, perhaps our John has been subconsciously psychically reshaping reality a little, to allow for coincidence of people, places, and things, ... like finding Sparks on Karron and having Alyssa to help lure her onto the Invictus, ... and all of the just getting there on time stuff, ... and that his trusty and loyal little Nymph will insist on staying with him, right when he will need her most, .. Or they develop the right technology at just the right time, ... If Tef ever wants to explain all the coincidences, then a Psychic Anonymous Kyth'Faren program written into John's DNA just might be the answer. Any thoughts? ;-) TTFM

I am modifying my post by quoting Bp who, as usual, has a better way of doing things. "https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cHUdC-AkgJ_QQWiEu2UTKoZ_Z12KmUP8EbLWqVbcvU4/edit#gid=966284116 - Look on the "Reference Art and Info" tab (on the bottom) and the first entry is: 2021-Sep-30 TSM Character Glossary" Previously my post gave a far less efficient way to do the same thing: If you click on Tefler to the left below your name, you're taken to a Tefler home page. There various things are available and the character glossary is under "reference documents". Some of them are behind a pay wall, and what I have accessed is by paying. The list you posted appears complete for now. Beyond that, I don't want to post documents that Tefler puts behind a pay wall for obvious reasons (reasons that as generally pro-capitalist I agree with).

Bp Hlpt

Another way to find the TSM Character Glossary that 2ndA mentioned is to look in the incredibly useful "Master Post Index and Resource Links" - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cHUdC-AkgJ_QQWiEu2UTKoZ_Z12KmUP8EbLWqVbcvU4/edit#gid=966284116 - Look on the "Reference Art and Info" tab (on the bottom) and the first entry is: 2021-Sep-30 TSM Character Glossary The link for that entry will take you directly to the Patreon post where Tefler posted it, and you will be able to download it from there, assuming that you are at the correct Patreon TSM subscription level, or higher. The Master Post Index, and the links it points to, has every bit of TSM info that I am aware of, somewhere on one of its tabs.

I have been looking for the complete chapter 150 without success. Is it a separate post or has some older post been updated?

A "What if?" challenge Someone who I will not mention, currently rules as best writer and thus holds the Sceptre for best fan writing on this site. So as I re-re-re......re-read Chpt 100, near the beginning (p 6/28 on Literotica) I pondered: When Admiral Morgan is informed about the absurdity of Fleet Admiral Buckingham's actions in not informing High Command of the Kintark invasion of Terra until the day before AND his asking to treat John as an enemy; he began to consider tendering his resignation. Then Commodore Redding storms in, showing him that not only has the Outer Rim been abandoned to the Kirrix; but TFNN is being attacked for reporting it. What IF Instead of sitting there passively at the Brimorian border, merely to protect Buckingham's son, he had conspired with Redding and taken the fleet, or whatever vessels would follow him, to at least slow the Kirrix invasion? 1- Morgan and his fleet would have survived, rather than die needlessly because of the actions of Mason. That fleet could have then hung around Zelig and freed time up from John. Also it would have provided at least some diversion for the 6 Galkarian cruisers and thus again given more time for John to prepare. 2- Tom Walker would not be in trouble, though he might be dead along with the Morgan fleet. 3- The Outer Rim colonies might not have been in as ready a mood to secede. They would have been more willing to concede that some Admirals would sacrifice their career to do the right thing and Alyssa would as well; setting a possible different outcome to Alyssa meeting Gv "Man-Whore" Bryce. OK, so I am not going to write this. Any takers?

matthew

IM CURIOUS TO HIS DEFINITION OF THE WORD SOON

Michael56Smith

.113: Hey matthew, Tef sent us a second complete chapter last month, I think that means he has caught up, and has a bit of a writing cushion now; an extra chapter ahead maybe? so that he can drop two 20K word chapters every other month, instead of completing a partial and starting another partial, now we can get whole chapters, ... that would be pretty cool, ... ;-) TTFN

TF007

To Tefler the word soon means anytime between the 1st and 31st of this month 😁

Robster

As the Mad Hatter once stated: Never today, Always tomorrow

Shadeymankey

Doing a re-read and two things are pretty annoying. John spends probably a million or so words WAY too guilt driven by helping those broken girls, and WTF is up with Dana’s out of character trashing the sensor when inspecting the armor systems?

Shelton

Is there any reason I was charged twice this month? Just wondering...

Bp Hlpt

Sure. Tefler posted 150.4 and a placeholder for 151, which he has not released, but he plans to before the end of the month. You will not be charged again when it is released.

AzureReader

Tef was thinking he would release the imminent ch 151 plus 152 and 153 and didn’t want to charge for three chapters in May. We all hope for a 3 chapter month but every day that goes by without one chapter makes that less likely. Seemed like a stretch goal.

Robster

I suspect that his Muse is gone again

Nick White

@tefler can you at least compile the last chapter as a single downnload ?

2ndAndrocentric

Things that makes John so different stem from a non-Thrall mother and is raised in a non-thrall culture. Other progenitors have thrall mothers. Therefore in contrast to other progenitors: 1- John has the genetic mutation experiment Mael set up; a Terran mother. Besides enjoying "hybrid vigor", he has the likelyhood of deviating from the standard template. 2- Also he grows up in a non-thrall society where men, specifically fathers, have a much more significant input and due to sexual dimorphism a more imposing presence (in general, please do not cite exceptions, they only prove the rule). Differential hypergamic strategies means that even thrall women are drawn to bigger, stronger men (as Gal's women make clear); whereas as per "Man-Whore" Gov Bryce points out, men seek other assets. That would mean John has a more biologically and cultural drive to seek "wounded birds" and protect them. That in turn makes his women respond in a far stronger way than just as enforced by the psychic bond, as Rachel and others point out. That further contributes to their overall strength. 3- Also John has spent most of his life in constant psychic war with his guide. Like wearing heavy weights on your feet to run or dance, when taking them off you fly. 4- He also has whatever his father imbued from the Kyth'faren. I think a lot of it Rahn doesn't even understand that he did.

Tom Ray

you charged for them so put one of them out already......

Michael56Smith

.156: Tef has another couple of weeks before TSM #151 is 'officially' late. I would keep an eye on sites like Literotica and SOL for its next TSM chapter dropping. this is a good indicator that an impending Patron drop is also imminent, just a thought. ;-) TTFN

Michael56Smith

.157: Timeline: in recent chapters they were still quoting 8 months as the time since Alyssa stowed away on the Fool's Gold and became John's first Matriarch, so with the time spent at Kythshara and the travels through Larathyran Space and time on Laranthyra, before hooking up the new improved worm-hole generator, it should be 8 1/2 months, ... maybe 9 months now, ... any refinements to the timeline guys? At the snail's pace that the TSM story is unfolding it has only been about a month since the lovely perky purple pixie sung her last wake song, I have missed her since the summer of 2019 almost 3 years, versus 4 weeks, ... Wow! ;-) TTFN

Jehanna had Crohn's disease before John healed her (chpt 83, p 7 of 10 on Literotica). I just realized that includes a very specific personality type which most people find very difficult (not me, I got along very well with every one I have had as a patient). Generally they are very compulsive and appropriately enough would fit the definition of “anal retentive personality,” a personality marked by excessive orderliness, extreme meticulousness, and often suspicion and reserve (quoted from net). Please understand that the personality does NOT cause the disease, but the disease is VERY strongly associated with the personality; for unclear reasons. It is fun to speculate on how John in healing her physical disease, would likely have markedly changed her personality as well, and how her parents would react to that.

2ndAndrocentric

As to etymology, Jehenna is a bit muddled, probably means a valley of lamentation (or the crying of children in a valley). However Elani which means Light in Hindi which is a description of the Lumen gift which John gives her. So if we accept Jehanna as a valley of darkness, then her name perfectly describes what she demonstrates to John to earn her gift; manipulation of dark and light in a mock battle against thralls. Again, I doubt Tefler is choosing character names by refering to etymology. Nonetheless Jehanna Elani is an exact match for what she demonstrated an affinity for and thus John gifted her psychically for: darkness and light. As to her having Crohn's, perhaps even though cured of the physical disease, habits from the personality persist. The girls commented ~chp 140 that she became obssesive in her fire arms training. Why all this posting from me? Well, I am not happy with what I wrote ever since someone bashed my head in with a Sceptre in a masterful post. So I am giving my subconscious time to rework my crap into something presentable. In the meantime, posting these things keeps me from wearing out another F5 key.

When Alyssa first visited Ashana (chpt 25), she has one of her meltdowns and sets up what the Ashana call a "Null-Zone" where no telepathy can occur. She then maintains this field until she is taught how to turn it off. Edraele does the same thing later on. So, other than the machinery producing a purple light, how do those "Null-Zones" compare to an "Eldritch Inhibitor"? I don't recall if any ability other than telepathy is affected by the Null Zone. IF they're essentially the same thing, does that mean they can do this wo machinery? That there's a machine for it does not mean it cannot be also done by a psychic. Speculation is invited on my latest diversionary tactic. My subconscious is having a temper tantrum over how well Sceptre writes and I can't produce anything at the moment.

Michael56Smith

.182: Compare, conjecture, speculate, ... NOT assume! , ... My thoughts are that 2ndAndrocentic just might have come up with how John and the crew can rapid-fire eliminate all the evil Asshats from the other side of the galaxy, ... I see that all John's girls can surpass him with their psychic abilities, Tashana's flames, Rachels Hex shields, Dana's unnamed structural/material composition powers are all greater than he is able to do, ... and as he is roughly twice the strength of the average Progenitor, his girls can very likely will eclipse the enemy Progenitors they face with their specific abilities, ... thus my theory-speculation is that Alyssa could press past just her null-zone, and into the eldritch inhibitor range with her powers, ... inside her null-zone Alyssa can accompany John onto an Asshat's Dreadnought, cut him off from his Matriarch, then dampen his powers in a surprise move, letting John and Sakura lop off a large number of Asshat's heads, one after another, before Xar'azuith can figure out what is happening. This could be a way for Tef to tidy up the TSM series within the next 40 or 50 chapters. Then we could all press on to its sequel series, ... and tie off some of this series loose ends, like the Brimorians/Abandoned, Tom Walker, John's parents, Jehanna's parents, Dana's parents (?), the former Underworld (Sarkhon Refinery), the Enshunu, the Shroud,... and many others ;-) TTFN

Who Me

I know why we don't have a 151 yet - Tef's busy putting all the 150 parts together into one chapter!

Tunafish

Hey, I read a new story on Literotica called Alien Mine - pretty good story if anyone is looking for something else to read. Author goes by the name Wiltell

Guy House

Wondering whether we are about to see a return of Rahn as he comes in to hold up the new progenitor arsehole with his dreadnought. Sacrifice himself in the process but release John's mum to survive..... Or both going down in a blaze of glory.

Timtom

Over halfway through the month and still waiting for even one of the 3 that you said you would post this month. Doesn't seem right since you already charged for one of those chapters.

AzureReader

I’m still wondering why the psychic tracking beacon Larn’ attached to the Invictus went dead while Rahn’ was tracking them. My only guess is it was Athena since she lives full time in the plane of existence the beacon would have been transmitting and could have found it. Anyone else on the crew would have told John about finding the beacon. Athena relishes being mysterious and elusive. Speaking of which, it’s about time to settle the issue of Athena holding Alyssa back because she has not absorbed her guide. Preferably before the battle with Gahl’. Did Rachel fire up Mael’s species printer to make a body for Athena or Faye?

Mark Strom

I think rahn killed the beacon

Michael56Smith

.206: Alyssa was again increasing the Invictus's top hyper-warp speeds by even closer/deeper dives through the gravity wells of stars, ... I thought it was implied that the gravitational stresses caused the Progenitor tracking device to fail, ... ;-) TTFN

Been thinking about the nature of the change and the effects it has on the girls. We know ingesting a proginator’s cum rests a thrall to the standard template. It is how John is able to restore Edraele youth. I believe the coming of age for a thrall species is 35, or something close to that. What would happen if a thrall younger than 35 were ingested a proginators cum. Would they advance in age? Is there some significance to the 35 year mark?. If a proginator can roll back several decades of age, why can’t the advance forward a few years of age. Not trying to think of this in a creepy pedophile way. Just an academic exercise. Could a proginator rapidly advance the age of a thrall if the need ever came up. Or does the 35 year age of accession have some significance

matthew

im wondering if any one knows if the story ever confermed exactly how many fleets and ships larnkelnar had that are getting salvaged

Steve Kubler

I have a 6 hour flight today, would be a great day for a chapter, or 2😉, to release. 🤷‍♂️It’s worth a try right?🤣

AzureReader

I’m with you Steve. I have aches and pains and am curled up in a ball from TSM withdraw. But the first release of the month is often the 25th when Tef is trying for more than one chapter. Not sure I can make it.

Michael56Smith

.236: WAGing these dates Steve, but consider #151 dropping between the 22nd and the 25th, with #152 dropping between the 26th and the 30th, ... with #153 (partial or completed) on the 31st, ... 3 chapters, more or less, in one month with charges for two, ... ;-) TTFN

Who Me

No No No - he is too busy combining 150 and editing it to worry about posting 151 or 152 or 153

matthew

does any one remver the specs on crystal alisium john built the new engins and raptor but only shape 35 times why stop if the eteherite gets stronger with each shape

Mapstar

„Publishing 1 in April and 3 in may“ Laughable

matthew

of the 6 progenetor names we know not including the new empire the lyrathians have been fighting we only kno the transhation of three MAEL is evil inslaver LARN is soul reaver and JOHN is writer of wrongs what does (RAHN) (GAL) AND (WAEL) translate in to i so want to know

Kensyi

So I'm wondering what happened, cuz Tef said that this one was so we wouldnt have 3 releases this month, but haven't heard anything since this one, was something said on Discord?

jdg45

.264 I am surprised that no one has commented on Gahl being able to grow in height like John. And why can Gahl grow while Rahn was surprised when John grew and moved the ship on Arcadia? Can all progenitors grow? Can the power be suppressed? Ch 150.3 Gahl’kalgor shook his head in revulsion at the sight of the hideously ugly Hive Queen, then strode towards the insectoid creature, rapidly growing in height as he approached.

Douglas Ashby

Has something happened to Teller? No new posts since the 1st of May

John Gregory

Something tells me that Tefler might not be able release 3 chapters this month as he suggested 🤔

Tom Ray

shouldn't make promises he cannot keep.

Mark Strom

It's worth waiting for.

Mark Strom

Just a thought, Mist generator powers Soulforge. Coincidence they were located together?

Bradley

Running out of days this mouth

Michael carney

Maybe should have kept his day job and treated this as a hobby with income. Save the stress of having to deliver to survive financially. But I'd rather wait for quality rather than quantity. Or maybe one of his patreons who has a way with words could collaborate with Tefler in telling the story.

Ralf

At what point will people ask for a refund if nothing is dropped this month ?

Sceptre

Is there a way to hide that you are supporting a creator here? When I click a name, I'm seeing a bunch of "This patron isn’t supporting any creators at the moment." Not trying to get in anyone's business, but it's confusing to read how disappointed someone is about the pace of Tef's production when that message pops up clicking on your name. Maybe I don't understand or something. Clicking on Michael56Smith and he's toeing the line for a bunch of creators so it makes more sense when he wants to bend an ear. Not trying to be mean and yea, I want the next chapter too, but good quality content takes as long as it takes. If Tef burns out trying to meet all our expectations, this story will never get completed. That would be a real shame.

Alberto Lopez

Lol, the good old days when 5 years ago Tef only had John, Alissa and the fool's Gold to deal with and could write 3 chapters per month. Now with close to 200 named characters, a dozen different civilizations with more technological equipment that needs to be written about a 3 chapter month is not going to happen, so adjust your expectations that if you get a 3 month chapter it is actually a really long chapter split into 3. I rather have a consistent 1 chapter per month until the story ends than a burned out tef quitting because he cannot meet the expectations.

matthew

ive been curious about thrall ships how long does it take to build them with the soul forge the worm hole gen took 8 hrs but during the kintark war larn said john had claimed the maliri a month ago that he should have completed his honor guard fleet and be laying the foundations for his flag ship so he should have been able to build a fleet in a month right or a new dreadnought in a couple weeks

Dads Gonna Kill Me

I really am Contemplating Re-reading Lord of The Rings, Or the Stephen R Donaldson Series (both) just so I could come back in a Month or two and just read 4 or 5 chapters at a clip... HMMMM maybe the Horse Clans would do it

Tom Ray

wow.... couple more days until June.... again there will be more reasons why we were charged for a chapter without seeing it....

Gary B

Well, hopefully, we will get a post in the next 4 days with an excuse...

Michael56Smith

.308: Possibly, our hardworking and uncommunicative Tefler might have more than one chapter ready for us by the end of month, ... chapter #151 and a partial of #152 at a minimum... maybe/plus his consolidated / completed chapter #150 too, ... this is based on his past actions, ... ;-) TTFN

AzureReader

After 150 very large chapters and millions of words there is a distinct possibility that this thing has gone on too long to hold his interest. Spacer X who wrote Six Times A Day wrote several million words and then just stopped one day, without ever finishing the story. There is risk to losing motivation if you do anything for a very long time. I hope that’s not the case here. Hopefully Tef still enjoys writing TSM. And I hope he understands his fans getting grumpy waiting for the next chapter is a (excessively) sincere form of flattery. But even those things may not be enough to preclude Tef doing something rash like becoming a white water rafting guide or some such crisis career change. Sending you positive thoughts Tef.

Michael carney

Tefler is an asshole. went to read a similiar story. and suddenly realised any similiar story would be a let down. like eating carob instead of fine Belgian chocolate. Suppose I could read from start again

Newnotsure

Well I started to read the full 150 chapters again boy did I miss some parts of the story I think it was because of the part chapters being posted up to 115 now still reading noticing a bunch of new stuff again I think I will only read a full chapter for now on with changes Tefler may make or add to each one makes it hard for me to read so I will wait for the full chapter to come out and read it all in one as they say. Just waiting here for next chapter to show up lol

Mark Strom

I think that the money I spend here is a better thing than the coffee I buy every morning. Imagine if earlier sci-fi writers had 8k a month support in the early days.

vontzki

I just hope Tefler is doing OK.

matthew

i SSSOOOO want to KNOW what is n the bunker under the palace on valaden theres just so many things it could be

matthew

i also want to know more about the vats both alianthia and valieria have talked about them so i cant help but wonder if the progen have a glory hole on there ship do drop lodes in be like i need more slaves here goes

matthew

does any one know how fast the progen tachion drive is the invictus had a standard teran drive then an ashanath drive was how much faster than that then the progen is faster than the ashanth so how many times faster is the progen than the teran

JD BREWZ

Can we confirm Tef is healthy?

matthew

i hope tef is do in ok i realy want a ship count on the fleets there (requisitioning) from larn

TechGuyStuff

I just can't wait to hear his excuses. He writes fiction, people. With his optimism from Apr 30, I wonder what he's going to say happened to his chapters ("avoid ... only 1 chapter in April and 3 in May"), and to see how he spins the inefficacy of his muse ("been great having my muse back again!").

wally ballou

I agree there is always some excuse for not meeting his commitments. Admittedly having a stroke is tragic or can be...I have had several TIA’s, but they were short lived, as the name would imply and did not block the blood flow long enough to cause neural damage. However, having said that he said: in the first week of May, that he was "almost" done with 150 and all the mini releases. He did not say when the “suspected” stroke occurred. If it had occurred during the first week of May then he has a valid argument for the delay. If it had occurred later in the month he had ample time to release 150. As it is, his release of 150 only combines the mini releases into one download and is not a new release. As for the “suspected” stroke…the docs would have done an MRI asap to determine if the “stroke” was hemorrhagic. This step is very important to determine what medication to administer…the wrong one could increase the bleeding and could be debilitating if not fatal. The MRI would also verify whether, or not, a stroke had occurred. Anyway that is the procedure the docs did on me when I had the TIA’s. Now you can go back to your LOL’s and ROFL’s and my “tits” are calm.. Have a nice day….

Harry Hackworth

Take care of your family. That's more important than the writing, until you can get back to it.
