Hey everyone,

I've been in and out of hospital again this month, with another operation to remove a second gall stone. Fortunately, the hospital expedited my surgery, so I'll be having my gall bladder removed on 7th June.

I'm currently still working on Chapter 163. I'll publish the chapter later tonight when I've finished working on the next couple of scenes.

Best wishes,

Tefler

Good luck with the surgery

Hope everything goes well with the surgery. The most important thing is your health. Please get all of the rest you need and don't feel you have to publish anything tonight.

Something needs to be done to help Tefler through what is clearly a turbulent time. Instead of us supporting him per chapter, perhaps a per month system is better. That, plus an option for us to donate money to Tefler whenever a patron feels gracious.

Thanks for the update Tefler, take care of yourself.

Hugo

Good luck and a speedy recovery. Take care mate.

Having had kidney stones which put me in hospital, I feel your pain. Hope the surgery goes well.

Ask them to remove appendix and other marginally important organs while they are in there… will save you time in the future. All joking aside (not that I was entirely joking) best wishes.

What no placeholder...oh wait, that comes later tonight...booo

Call Rachel, she'll hook you up 😊 seriously, hope everything works out well.

Thanatos95

looking forward to the chapter. I had my gall bladder out in march, you should feel a lot better after. It was so easy it was disapointing, I wanted to watch the robot do the surgery. no dice, total sedation.

Get well soon Tefler you have been through the wringer a good bit in the last 12 months

Doug Hunter

Gall stones suck. Kidney stones suck. Being sick sucks. Get well soon. You deserve some positive time in your life.

Pat White

Get well soon buddy. Don't worry about the chapters your health is more important

Thanks for the update take it easy mate and look after your health.

Your health, both physical and mental, should obviously take priority. Get well soon. You'll get to catching up when you can, but if you're ill or depressed or whatever then the writing process will suffer. We're here for a well crafted story, not one with a fast output.

Hey Tef, I've been here as a Deity for a long time and intend to stay the course. Take care of yourself, I've lost too many people I consider to be important in my life recently. Be well.

TF007

Take care of yourself and get better.

Aaron Yuro-Smith

I have said it before. I love your story, but your health is more important. I know you need the money but don't kill yourself to get it. One of the things I really think you should do, is get rid of your arbitrary monthly deadline. Release chapters as you finish them and work as you can.

Jim Herrera

Please take care of yourself! Thoughts and prayers for you and your family!

Wishing you a boring recovery with no drama or complications

Gall Bladder removal is pretty easy surgery. Should be about 2-3 days recovery. Might have to reduce fat intake, bile helps digest fats. I didn't have to alter my diet at all after removal. DEFINITELY better than the pain of a gallstone!!!

Been too busy to participate but as an internist (MD); 38 years the STUPIDITY of removing gallstones instead of the whole gallbladder is galling. This is modern medicine: decisions by burecrauts that haven't actually taken care of people for decades. Scum rises to the top in most professions, which is why after my 1st 12 years as a prof of med and biochem I left both serious research and teaching. I did not want to deal with the political b.... of Clown World anymore. Most PCPs are hemmed in by insurance and policy decisions. I actually saw my first gallbladder surgery when I was 6yo, standing next to my dad, in my our house which was 1 of 2 hospitals in our town. True, once the blood started flowing I ran away (I was 6yo). The other hospital was my uncle's house. My 2 aunts were also surgeons but one was in the US (San Diego) and the other elsewhere. I say this because medicine as I learnt it has become crap.

If it is a Gaul stone, can we blame the French? 🤪

I admit to being curious...Why didn't your doctors clean up this gallstone problem the first time you went in for them?...it makes no sense that the doctors wouldn't give you any way to correct this problem after the first hospitalization...makes no sense to me!
