Hey everyone,

I was readmitted to hospital with more gall stone problems, as another one got stuck in my bile duct.

I was supposed to be having surgery on the 2nd August to have the gallbladder removed, but because of the problems they encountered last time and the internal bleeding, I've been referred to a liver specialist surgeon in London.

So I'm kind of in a limbo at the moment, waiting for an update from Hammersmith hospital.

I've also been working on the current chapter, but haven't finished it yet. I'll update the original post with the additional scenes I've completed so far.

Best wishes,

Tefler

So, that means another place holder chapter this month?? We have already paid for 4 chapters in advance. I don't think this a very good thing. You are going to lose a lot of patrons tefler. I don't think I can keep supporting you when all I seem to be paying for, are empty place holder posts.

Your health is more important than ANY story, no matter how entertaining (read,'"addicting"). Get better so you can do what you do so well.

Thanks for soldiering on thru your family’s disdain and your illness. Health first THEN the story. Godspeed as you navigate the UK (or US) Byzantine health system!!

Unresolved Plots

Hope this gets sorted as soon as possible for you. Get well soon Tefler.

Best wishes for you and your health, I hope things get better for you soon!

Best wishes, hope to a speedy recovery

I've been really disappointed by my whole experience with the NHS. For anyone who hasn't had gallstone issues before, I get agonising back pain when the gallstone gets stuck for a couple of days. Then it gets lodged in there, I start feeling sick and throwing up bile, then I turn yellow as jaundice kicks in. I've had this happen four times now with separate gall stones. I've also undergone three ERCP procedures to have them removed. They stick a tube down your throat to widen the bile duct and remove the stone. If the NHS had been able to act quickly to remove my gallbladder the first time this happened, I could have avoided all the additional operations. But the gallbladder surgery I did have they aborted half-way through, leaving me with four surgical scars... and a still infected gall bladder.

So to any of my American readers: If anyone ever talks about the wonders of free healthcare... this is what you basically end up with.

Write a couple chapters, fly to the US, and get your gall bladder removed here. Preferably before NHS kills you. Going rate seems to be about $11K. Boston or NYC would be good. I’ve heard good things about health care in Belgium also.

Tefler, just so you are aware, you dated the update on 164 as 31st of August, when August is only just starting. Unless you're officially not planning on updating 164 again until end of August, it might be a good idea to correct that. Also, fuck socialized healthcare for making you wait and extending your suffering. They really should have had you in much sooner to do the removal, if not continued with the first attempt, admitting you as an in-patient, load you up with antibiotics to knock out the infection, and keep you in observation until you were clear. It'd ruin your bank account for sure, but at least you'd supposedly be healthy again once it was done.

i had gall bladder issues almost 20 years ago , went to hospital had ultra-sound to see what was up, had emergency surgery the same day , was in hospital for a total of 6 1/2 days , no further problems with gall bladder b/c they took it out, come to lovely oregon and get on the oregon health plan and not have the long waiting time, of course you'd have to be a resident of the state for more than 30 days and be low income to get it, but that is one solution.........tony

James St. Clair

Ahem…. $8k per unwritten chapter. It would be hard for him to qualify as low income, thanks to our patience.

.31: Health issues can be a real downer Tef, so please try and stay optimistic and believe that everything will work out in the end, ... thank you for thinking of us (fans), ... stay comfy and drink plenty of fluids (I think) .... ;-) ttfn

arbi

Hey Tef maybe you should come to the US for treatment before your 'free' healthcare kills you.

Jonathan Seeley

I just wish I was a slower reader at this point. Perhaps if I start over from the beginning, there will be some new stuff by the time I get back to 164 ;) As a matter of fact, I'd like to make my first suggestion, that all of the John Blake Chronicles be made available here instead of having to run back to Literotica.

Bp Hlpt

I hope your health issues get resolved soon, Tefler. Hang in there.

I have a suggestion for Dana's next imediate project. A wormhole generator for each of the Battlestations so they can be where needed. And how is it that Mal didn't make them mobile? wtf? Are you holding onto a surprise Tef? Yes, I know Dana didn't find evidence. Maybe on the rest of them. Yay, Have big guns will travel!

.45: hey, do you think those UK government medicine folks (National Healthcare) might have snuck up on poor Tef and cut into him, performing a classic cholecystectomy, then they just slap a bandage on him to help him on his way? ... that could really put off the finishing of chapter (#164) for a little while, ... get well soon Tef ole buddy, .... ;-) ttfn

Has anyone seen anything from our author since 07/31? I am concerned that his care isn't that good. I went through this years back and even then we had the tech to either zap the stones with ultra sound or chemically break them down so they will pass easily. Or in my case surgery to remove the gall bladder with stones and be done with it. Hoping for the best.

It’s coming, I can sense it even through the shroud 😁

.57: One of my 'other' favorite erotic fiction writers is Annabelle Hawthorne, of the Home for Horny Monsters fame, .... she also likes Tefs work, and when she began submitting her Horny Monster stories, late in August 2017, back when Tef was on his chapter #87 and was about to drop #88, ... and now the girl has almost caught up to Tefler, .... She has over 105 main line story chapters, plus she has 22 of one and 7 of another related side story chapters, ... So, with about 134 Horny Monster chapters, while Tef is currently stuck on his chapter #164, .... she has really narrowed his 87-chapter lead, ... and she'll likely pass him next year for sure, .... -- Anyway, Tef's story (TSM) is awesome, but Annabelle is one highly impressive writer (very awesome!!), ... ;-) ttfn
