Failed to remember the password to the Atlassian account, so have a Patreonified Roadmap for StreamFX. Anything not done in one Quarter automatically spills over to the next, and if everything is done in a Quarter, we'll pull in work from the next quarter.

As Patreon does not support strikethrough styling, I've chosen to underline entries that are completed.

Q1 2025

  • Fix all the known issues with Spout/Sink (see release notes).

  • Migrate any Source/Filter with Source capture support to Spout/Sink instead which solves a lot of issues we have with those right now.

  • Add Spout/Sink to all Sources/Filters to optimize filter trees further, and export input, intermediate and output states to the whole Spout/Sink network.

  • Fully migrate Source Mirror users to Spout/Sink automatically using a proxy registration. This will automatically add the Spout (Video Texture) and Spout (Audio) filters where needed.

  • Sunset support for System-wide installations on Windows to achieve parity with other platforms. You will still be able to install Per-User and Portable, but the Installer won't ask for Administrator rights anymore. Also allows us to automatically update the plugin on Windows, instead of only Linux and Mac.

Q2 2025

  • Address any sRGB and HDR issues currently still present in Sources/Filters/Transitions, if any are left after Q1 2025.

  • Merge/Optimize Gaussian modes in Blur filter.

  • Reintroduce a separate Qt frontend plugin for all the frontend work, like update notifications.

Q3 2025

  • Initial work on the Animation System which will allows users to design and play animations with a full visual editor and preview window. Depends on the Qt frontend plugin for the editor part.

  • Initial work on the Templating System which is intended to allow users to share something like groups of sources laid out in a certain way, or even filters applied in a certain way. Should be able to support parameters so the creator of a template can allow the end user of a template to change fonts, text, images, or even select different layouts.

Q4 2025

  • Haven't planned that far ahead. Pretty sure the previous Quarter is guaranteed to spill over into this one.
