December Dev Notes III (Patreon)

It is currently 3am here, and i go to work in about twenty minutes.

Thankfully, the update will still release sometime today in the next 20 hours lol

Let's move on with the dev notes:

So, I changed the first Charisma Caravan option! Half of it remains, while the rest has been expanded to include the pitiful attempts of some noblemen trying to court both Lady Valerie and Lady Charmel.

You'll witness them fail. Plus we get to see the friends a Charisma Champion has already made!

I had to change the second Charisma choice branch as it will be a continuation of the previous choice, while still being able to be chosen by someone who didnt pick the CHA choice previously so there's no confusion.

Now, our Champion will be accompanied by the two other noble children they've met while on the caravan, in annoying the shit out of the suitors. Whatever you choose, they'll follow your lead if they can!

• You can be nice and simply keep bugging them so they leave the ladies alone. Asking them to pick you up, say that you want to see something , keep interrupting them while still being just so darn cute with puppy eyes...

• You can be an absolute little shit and up the "stakes" so they can prove their worth by ordering them to do push ups to see who can beat the other. After all, what kind of man isn't able to do dumbass shit for the woman he "loves"??

• What if you just straight up doesnt like them? A Stoic Champion will be able to just give the meanest bitch face a five year old can muster so they pick up the hint and feel embarrassed to even stand in your presence!

• Or... Imperious MC will simply be able to ask em straight up what their intentions are with your precious nanny and her friend. In front of the ladies. In front of the whole caravan. And just keep drilling into them with questions that should make any man reconsider their life choices.

Some background stuff that may not be immediately noticed, but was worked since the last update. The Tripartite Alliance that made Lymark-Argent-Kayzack, also facilitated trade and marriage alliances between them. Many noble families in Argent have Lymarkian blood in them, especially the border duchies.

There's like... alot of seeds I'm planting to make the future story conflict engaging. Like for instance the fact that there's two political factions, the Noble's Faction and the Crown Loyalists. The political split also reveals their ideologies, the Crown Loyalists are okay with Unblessed families becoming noble, while the Nobles' Faction are not. The split is even accounting for the fallout of the Night of Tears and the Lymarkian Invasion! Many of the nobles in the Nobles' Faction are there because Remiel kinda fucked over alot of family reunions lmao.

For instance, as you'll find out in the update from one of the noble families, one of the duchies welcomed the refugees of Lymark before Remiel betrayed them. And uh, that really became a problem since the refugees didn't know they would be taken prisoner, killed, or etc. The Duke of Bellsy, Lord Alexel (Alexander) Parsec, a noble house that has steep Lymarkian traditions and connections whose wife is even a Lymarkian noble, ALSO didnt know what Remiel's game plan was, and quickly preceded over the quick marrying off of Argentian nobles within his clan with Lymarkian ones to reassure the refugees who had come in large numbers. This worked. It even had the added bonus of adding the new financial strength from the Lymarkian nobles who married into House Parsec, and the duchy was energized with a new labor force, and this helped to create new investments and projects.

So yeah. There's a reason House Parsec distanced itself from the Crown. Relations are beginning to warm again, as King Uriel and Queen Adelina are making progress to better integrate the Lymarkians and are currying favor with some of the Nobles' Faction supporters.

Stuff like the above will be mentioned during Master Feren's visit, when we get to explore and begin making new friends or enemies as other noble families also begin to settle down or send their children as "wards" to your parents.
