Development Checklist. (Patreon)
Content
Holy shit this is almost 2,900 words lmfao
Well you guys, here it is, the Dev Checklist! Said it was going to happen, here it is.
This is a checklist of all features I wish to add in the game (so far) and features that are in the process of being implemented.
Fix param search function bug that breaks games. (Unimplemented)
Upload blurbs of characters in the Relationship Tab. Old Version of the Relationships tab was over 20k words, this new version may reach that word count as well, perhaps even exceed it. Goal is one family every two weeks to keep it manageable for myself. Will begin schedule Feb 14th. (Minimally Unimplemented)

Retainers of the royal family. (X)
Add in the search groups found using keywords by the search function. Goal is one search term every two weeks, alongside blurbs. Priority is Argentian searchables. Not imperial. Will begin schedule Feb 14th. (Minimally Unimplemented)

If you can think of other terms that would be inputted into the search bar, please comment below on what they could be. I will accept or reject submissions.
Codex. The Codex will not be as before. It will be more bite-sized and less overwhelming in comparison to before. It will be called [The Emperor's Pocket Guide to Nareth]. Much of the old Codex will transfer to the Patreon as refined posts that are canon under a new Collection Group (the old Codex was almost 25k words). The ingame Codex will be like the Relationships Tab entries, meaning the topics will no longer have more than three paragraphs of blurb. The implementation of the Codex will be the focus of the next Technical Update. The goal to complete within the Technical Update period (tech updates will only be worked on for one week, always) will be the foundation of the code (should be easy with the layout and code already written with the old version) working properly. After that, the priority will be the Kingdom of Argent blurbs being worked on first. The next Technical Update Period will begin after the the next main game content update (Master Feren's visit being done for, basically). (Unimplemented)
"Kingdom of Argent" (X)
Imperial Friend and Ally. A recent history of how Remiel allied with the empire, and why Argent should be considered friendly territory, and to chill out with any superiority complexes because of said alliance. One page.
The Duchies of Argent. The duchies should possess three paragraphs each. Should contain information on ducal families, duchy's reputation for something, and an extra interesting tidbit.
Society and Culture. Should also contain three blurb paragraphs regarding things that should interest a Belthean tourist or merchant.
The Royal Family. Again, three blurbs regarding the family's recent history.
The Wild Tribes of the North. Three blurbs of the tribes, their danger, and barbarity.
Argentian Hounds. A blurb explaining to not abuse dogs or risk death. The locals are incredibly attached to their hounds.
"Imperial Province of Lymark" (X)
Fallen Kingdom. A small recent history summary of events surrounding the fall of the kingdom. Three paragraphs long. Will include a portion on "not pissing off the locals as they are still salty.
Dangers of the Desert. One paragraph on desert climate and the dangers of that. One paragraph regarding the bandits. And one last paragraphs regarding the Lymarkian Moane.
Trade Route. A list of Lymarkian cities friendly to Belthean merchants and travelers, and the commodities most sought after.
Nomadic Tribes of Lymark. Three paragraphs of regions and areas to avoid, that are not under the control of Imperial Governor Daerin.
"Holy Belthean Empire" (X) Will be the only entry to break the three blurb paragraph rule as the Beltheans will naturally jerk themselves off in their own little propaganda book. The Old Codex version gave the empire over 10k words, this version will seek to lower that amount.
History of the Belthean People. This should be three pages.
His Imperial Majesty's Army. This should remain within one or two pages. Will be overblown and exaggerated.
The Old Kingdoms. This will have its own choice tree so that one can read a page about each Imperial Province, the Imperial Governor in each territory, and a paragraph about their pre-unification history on why it was so shit before the Conqueror united them all.
Society and Culture. This will be pure self-masturbation on how great their civilization is, how they reward on merit, how they ended slavery, and how peace has generally been the norm after the Ravenea took over half the continent and why everyone else should just submit to the Beltheans and save the empire the trouble. Want to keep it within three or four pages.
"Kingdom of Jelaytha" (X)
Imperial Friend and Ally. Will detail the history behind why they are allies of the empire, why Jelaytha should be considered friendly territory, and to chill out with any superiority complexes because of said alliance. One page.
Master-Scholars of Jelaytha. Three paragraphs on their contributions to imperial civilization.
Society and Culture. Should also contain three blurb paragraphs regarding things that should interest a Belthean tourist or merchant.
Piracy. A paragraph regarding the pirates who resist Queen Khari, and a travel advisory. There is also information on how to pay ransoms if kidnapped.
The Royal Family. Again, three blurbs regarding the family's recent history.
"Kingdom of Kayzack" (X)
Isolationist Kingdom. Three blurbs talking about how Kayzack dont really like visitors and that Beltheans who try to travel should let the government know in case they get detained. Overall message is to not try.
Past Incidents. Blurbs describing what happened in the past with merchants, diplomats, and adventurers. Most got detained, some died.
Society and Culture. Will contain information on what the Beltheans have uncovered regarding these guys and give a glimpse to their civilization.
Kayzackian A'lumite. Short history detailing how they helped the Tripartite Alliance militarily with A'lumite, a precious resource that allows for the creation of Purified Steel without the need for V'era Stones.
"The Sankri Republics" (X)
Republican Values. Two paragraphs containing information on how the Sankri operate at a governmental level. They will shit talk it.
Sankrian Merchants. Will detail how the Sankri often haggle, and how one should be careful when dealing with their merchants.
Society and Culture. An entry full of speculation and misinformation.
Sankrian Slave Trade. Three paragraphs on how Republicanism is responsible for Sankrian Slavery and why rule by the Blessed is evidently the ethical and moral model of government.
"Kin of Arava" (X)
Imperial Tributary. Three paragraphs on Saldwin's Raze, their submission, and how barbaric they are.
Eastern Kin. Three paragraphs on how the Kin who travel across the Snowpeaks are naturally lazy, dangerous, and always begging for a handout. They are to be distrusted, and avoided.
Society and Culture. A whole lotta talking shit and on how the empire is a shining beacon of civilization, and lol the Kin capital and their nobility is trying to emulate the Beltheans lololol how funny.
The High Kinlord of Arava. Blurbs about Mago, his recent actions to control the tribes, and his recent policies strengthening his position. Some modicum of respect, but still derided for being a barbarian.
Travel Advisory. An advisory talking about how you really shouldn't cross the Snowpeaks unless you are in a heavily guarded caravan with other Beltheans. And some warning on nomadic Kin tribes still resisting the High Kinlord that don't respect his authority or the empire's.
"The Church of the Goddess" (X)
Templars. Will contain information regarding the Templars, the militaristic arm of the Church used to defend the faithful against V'era and heretics.
Templaric Armor. Three paragraphs that detail what Templaric Armor is, and how the church supplies it to their Templars and noble families.
The Archpriestess. Here, two blurbs will share information of the role of the Archpriestess, and her influence and power working in tandem with the emperor to maintain stability, piety, and the Goddess on the empire's side.
Rituals. A few blurbs about how to seek protection, the customs on how to conduct oneself inside a temple, what to not do, and more .

Add in banner art for the Stats page to help easily differentiate between the Stat Groups. (Partially Complete, Unimplemented)
Try to implement a system that allows for mass increase/decrease of opinion for when you gain reputation with a Faction (Mercantile, Militant, Noble, Commoner, Pro-Imperial, Pro-Argent, and so and and so forth). This can be done by using a go_sub function for each of the Factions and creating *if statements for the characters. This whole system may take an entire Technical Update Period. However, I think this will be needed as once it is complete, it will take a huge load off my shoulders, and using the go_sub will remove future need to write the statements to apply to every character. (Unimplemented)
Refine the Reputation Store to allow for incremental increases of 5x and 10x. The current system allows for the increase of only one unit. Reader feedback suggest a desire to make it more useful as the action of increasing the stats is tedious atm. (Unimplemented)
Create a stat/system that tells you what Languages you have learned. I could make it tied to Intelligence, but there can be a case for it to be part of Charisma as well. Hence my preference of making it a separate stat/system that allows for an MC to learn languages the more they decide to dedicate time to it instead of the other stats (which can be increased by use of the Reputation Store). Still very much a WIP idea, so for now it is canon that the MC learns High Belthean and Argentian by the time the three Childhood Routes begin. The languages are currently Jelaythean (Arabian-like), Trevalyean (Spanish-like), Moresainean (French-like), Ulthrean (Scandinavian-like), Swainean (Italian-like), Lymarkian (Greek-like), Aravean (No Equivalent), Kayzackian (Closely related to Argentian which is German-like), Sankri (Hindi-like). Languages will be important, and can reveal information you wouldn't have learned otherwise, gain you allies you wouldnt have otherwise, and so on.
Create Three Childhood Upbringings for Prince, Squire, and Princess. (Unimplemented)

Below this line will be stuff added later to the checklist as the above will be focused on first until completion.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Develop a system that allows for the reader to see a battlefield using icons like those used in Kings and Generals, BazBattles, HistoryMarche, and Invicta. This is very low priority and will without doubt be something that should be added "post-production" of the game. (Low Consideration)
Add in the Relationship Entries for the Imperials. (High Priority)
Add in Hyperlinks ingame when interesting shit is brought up/discussed that direct to the Patreon/Wiki. (Low Priority)
Comprehensive fashion system that allows players to dress however they like with different articles of clothing with individual stat modifiers. Jewelry and headgear (helmets, crowns, circlets, hats, hoods, etc) will also be considered. The stats modified will be Faction increase/decrease. This is obviously unlikely to be implemented, like the battle map system. (Low Consideration)
Combat overhaul that allows players to use different weapon types, with different scenes depending on said weapon. This would slow production down hard and most players would not even notice the fact you can have different scenes depending on your weapon chosen. A workaround would be to make combat a stat heavy encounter, with the weapons having different strengths and weaknesses... but fuuuuuck that. This isn't a stat heavy game, and id rather have combat be a scene and not a battle system with numbers going up and down. (Low Consideration)
Assignment System. The Academy will periodically have assignments for the Champion to complete as "quests" throughout the school year. This can easily spiral out of control, and scope creep should be heavily controlled by setting hard word limits to not halt progress with the main story. Would 100% add re-playability however, by also introducing the next system. (High Consideration)
Party system. Would let players choose which companions accompany their Champion during assignments in the Academy. These assignments will have the Champion travel across Nareth as part of experience gain (and to serve the empire as free interns lmfao), and will take us to places that some ROs would obviously have unique dialogue and content for. (High Consideration)
Add in a checkpoint system. (Dependent on Choice of Games and their stance on saves by the time KaE is up for consideration for Hosted Games)
Age Tracker system that keeps track of everyone's ages, but I really doubt it'd work because it sounds overly complicated for something that'd see very little use by the fanbase. (Low Consideration)
Basic Letter System. Allow the Champion to send and receive letters by engaging with the system which would be in the Stat menu or throughout checkpoints in the game where the MC is in their study. This will allow the Champion to keep up with ROs that we don't meet again until the Academy, and NPCs that we grow up with or meet throughout our lifetime. (Low Priority)
Please comment any features you want to pitch; I will either add them to the bottom half list, or explain why it wouldn't work. If you cannot comment, use Tumblr instead, and ill privately answer you.

Going forward, the Development Checklist, the latest Progress Report, and the post with the latest Update will be grouped in a new Collection Named (Quick Access) since Patreon does not allow more than one pinned post. All three posts will be edited constantly in the future with the latest information, link, and etc. Of course, only the Progress Report and Dev Checklist will be public.
