One of the criticism of Bleach before TYBW was that no good guys ever dies. So Kubo just turned that on it’s head here and put everyone’s life on the table. And since he knew it wouldn’t be part of the original anime (and be under censorship) he also turned up all the blood and gore.

JDanime

Was Gin not a good guy?! 🤣 Yeah It really feels like he changed it up completely.

Dragon Puncher

That depends on your perspective, lol. With his snake poem he is essentially asking if he can still be a considered good guy (that Rangiku can love), when he did a lot of bad things to get revenue for her.

We know that the actual N*zis used the manji symbol that had historic importance and changed it to a swastika. Here, we see the Quincies use the medallion to steal Bankais and make it their own, considering how the word Bankai is written using the manji symbol. It adds a nice narrative layer to the Quincies. Also, the anime omitted one important scene from the manga. The R&D department tried to contact Ichigo through his combat pass. After the encounter with Ginjo, they shut down the combat pass until now. You would not have caught that in the anime, as they decided to give continuity to the mistake they had made in the OG Bleach. In the final chapters of the Fullbring arc, Ichigo gave a warning to the captains regarding the combat pass after Ginjo revealed the truth. Ichigo was willing to throw hands if they continued using the combat pass in such a manner. In the anime, they changed the complexion as if he forgave them and was looking forward to being a part of the Soul Society despite what they did.
