First! If you watch interactions with her, you can see some people are terrified of her. Think of squad 11 in the hospital or in the flashback!

Daniel

Now you understand why everyone was scared of Unohana :)

Great reaction! If you’re interested in Kenpachi lore, it’s covered in a light novel (not only about Kenpachi). The fight between the 8th Kenpachi vs zaraki is really interesting. The lore is also shown in the BBS game, and some YouTube videos cover it too. It explains why Zaraki Kenpachi lost multiple times even though he’s such a strong character.

i don't know if yall remember, but during Kenpachi's backstory, after the fight with Ichigo, it's shown that he meets Yachiru and names her Yachiru because that was the name of the person he admired most.

I have been waiting for this!! Unohana was already hot mommy but this just made her 10x more hotter.

Marou

Remember during the Soul Society when Hitsugaya was fighting Aizen after stabbing Hinamori? At the time (before he actually fused with the Hogyoku) even Aizen did not want to confront Unohana when she appeared

Each Kenpachi is a self proven strongest fighter claiming the title by usually defeating the previous one. Zaraki killed 10th Kenpachi to replace him as 11th Kenpachi of soul society. If first Kenpachi is still alive and strong, how come second one back in history came to be. Its a question for YOU guys to ponder on. Heheh

This is the absolute MASTER and GENIUS of Tite Kubo, now if you go back and watch OG Bleach you with the knowledge you are getting this arc you will see everything in a NEW Light, especially with Unohana, every time she was on screen EVERYONE feared her or literally bowed down to her commands, including Ichigo. *chefs kiss*. this is only the start too guys, this arc only gets more and more insane. ALSO REMINDER - Kenpachi is a TITLE given to the Soul Reaper who loves to fight the most, the strongest. SHE was the one who created that entire concept, the 1st Captain of Squad 11 ( Zarakis Squad right now).

AvatarDan

Do yall remember the part in the Hueco mundo arc where the hollow captain wanted to retreat before even fighting her?

Dragon Puncher

The Japanese VA for Unohana does an amazing job here. The switch from the sweet Unohana mommy voice to the murder mommy voice mid scene gives me goosebumps every time.

gggoos

Idd. Unohana giving sick VA. She and As Nodt had crazy VA performances. It only realized later As Nodt voice actor is Kirito from SAO. Crazy to even think about it

Man this was always such a cool reveal. I love that everyone being scared of her wasn't just a gag. In the soul society arc, aizen was happy to fight toshiro, sajin, ichigo, etc. but when unohana rolled up he got the hell out of there. Pretty interesting. Also there's a tiny detail at 18:07. Kenny coughs up some blood on unohana's face after getting stabbed. In the next scene, there's no sword going through his throat, but the blood on her face is still there.

One thing you forgot is how Unohana mentioned how Kenpachi was stronger when she fought him in the past. So Kenpachi got weaker.
