I very surprised they would use soundtracks from Shiro SAGISU's otherworks, notibly his works in Berserk. That was the string piece in the beginning.

As always 10/10 post-episode discussion. We're at the point in the story where in the manga Tite Kubo had to rush through the manga due to his severe health issues. Now in the anime cour 3, Kubo has been fleshing out and expanding on the lore of Bleach. Before this episode aired, none of the manga readers and light novel readers knew the name of Soul King, Adyneus. A lot of flashbacks up to this point have been anime originals. Even this fight was expanded much further than the manga. I really enjoyed you guys dissecting characters' motivation and realizing each sides have an understandable purpose. As a bleach fan, I like that the story isn't simply black and white / good vs evil, it's like black, white, and different shades of gray. You guys summed it up perfectly at the end, as viewers we're conflicted between different sides having valid goals.

I really do love y’all’s reactions but vidyard is such absolute trash I literally just have to watch the early editions that are edited and short. Would love to be able to watch the full version but they never load, constantly buffering and again, you cannot flip the screen on phone. If I watch through computer just buffers the whole time but have no other issues with Patreon… just this stupid vidyard bs

rryutie

WHAT, that's wild. you really prefer the native video player on patreon? That one has no option to control video quality it's fully automatic. If vidyard is buffering for you in 1080p i'm almost positive the native patreon player would downgrade ur video quality as well, except it wouldn't buffer it would just silently do it with you having no way to change it back, so if ur on ur phone ig you wouldn't notice and that probably feels better? But fr, if you're buffering while watching streaming it's almost always your internet connection. Sometimes a site might have heavy traffic and that affects it but im pretty sure it wouldn't be that in this case cause that would cause everyone else to lag while watching through it too and I haven't had any issues and haven't seen anyone else with issues either.

For me vidyard is so much supperior to the patreon UI or even streamable, it never buffers and I watch on both samsung phone and tablet might be your internet or hardware issue

The shrift A- the Almighty. Gives the user the ability to see every possible future/outcome and change it at will. In other words he has seen ever single reality/timeline and can use any of them. No attack that he has looked at can work on him at any point ever.

The explanation that the Quincy's are humans with special powers is something of a layman's explanation given early on in the series, but now we know the Quincy's are a separate race, all originating from Yhwach. So we can no longer consider them as humans. Quincy's do not become hollows, after death they simply return to Yhwach, that's what this war is all about Yhwach can fell the pain and suffering of all Quincy's that die. Quincy's are not part of the cycle of life-death-reincarnation.

love the discussions at the end!

It doesnt seem to me that Soul King was using Ichigo but actually Ichibe was

Rey

Love it, great theories, just rewatch Everything But The Rain for more information on Quincies and Hollows. Otherwise good theories, I think the Light Novels explain more of what the Primal World worked

Kamil

Honestly, Bleach has one of the best villains in all of anime.

Volt

Ichibe and Urahara both seemingly sending Ichigo and the group to their deaths as a sacrifice to maintain the status quo in Soul Society is really good although I think Urahara does believe and hope that it doesn't turn out like that, it doesn't really change that he did it. I also like how Ichibe says that is what peace is all about since sacrificing others for peace is the Soul Society specialty. Love how Yhwach says that he will put an end to the Soul Kings endless humiliation and it could refer to both the Soul King being humiliated being in a crystal and also the humiliation given to the Quincies by the world created by Soul King. One last thing to note, I think it's great that every villain tries again and again to take away Ichigos autonomy in different ways, equating his struggle to someone elses will or plan.

BP

Remember that the poem at the end is always about the person who is saying it; they are the focus. Think about who said that; the voice is someone you know. And in the beginning, there are 3 pools surrounding the soul king...I wonder what those 3 pools could represent?

Venti Childe

Why would Quincy King would need a vessel for Soul King if hes literally killing him

Kris

Yeah I’m not sure then. Vidyard is the only one I have issues with and 2/5 of the reaction channels I subscribe to use Vidyard and it barely works for either. It’s consistently terrible on my end. I’m glad it works for y’all tho I appreciate the replies

JDanime

So true. Love when anime plot is morally gray. It keeps things more interesting :D

JDanime

I'm sorry to hear vidyard isn't cooperating with you. We had to switch back to vidyard because the Patreon player was having processing issues in which the video would literally freeze for a lot of people. Could you perhaps try through the PC or on a different browser? I'm not sure what else would help 😭
