I feel bad for so many people in this show😭 love them all, but now rewatching this with you I realized how much I like Lakan lol, he's such a cute character somehow

Song

It's crazy that Maomao always believe she is ordinary even though she has the power to move a country

_kags

god the final arc of this season is so fucking peak, i feel so bad for shisui and that lakan-jinshi scene gives me goosebumps

J D. Legend

You kidnap Maomao PAPA LAKAN WILL BRING THE WHOLE FORBIDDEN ARMY!

Jomeut

The scene with Lakan was so important... Lakan never allied with factions, by kneeling down to Jinshi, He is expressing his subordination to him.. It's so subtle...

Khoi Pham

haha I think it is fine to call Loulan => "Shisui" and call Shisui => "Suirei" Maomao always call them that.

Khoi Pham

If you think about it, it was only because Shisui and Suirei "kidnap" Maomao that Jinshi and Lakan work so hard to expose Shishou

Narasa ja

A thousand steeds deployed to lead the clever Cat to her true home.

JDanime

So true. How did he go from scum to adorable 🤣

JDanime

She'll have to accept it some day! The same as how Jinshi had to accept his true name in this moment 😳

JDanime

It's SO good. And I love how it builds from season 1 too. Insane pay off and execution 👏

JDanime

Papa Lakan to the rescue 🤣💕

JDanime

Yeah this would've totally went unnoticed if not for Maomao 😳

JDanime

Princess treatment fr 💅

Like someone else pointed it, especially knowing more from the Light Novels, that Lakan kneeling to Jinshi is huge. He is the master strategist but has never given true allegiance to anyone, by him calling to arms as he has he is declaring the entire La clan to that of Jinshi, the Moon Prince and the Emperor. Technically the La clan can be as strong as the Shi clan that Loulan/Shishui comes from, they just don't typically go as politically driven as other clans tend to be. So technically they have all of the La clan in that office with Luomen, Lahan and Lakan in the office which is huge. Lahan is a blood relative to Lakan but he is technically a nephew that he adopts as his son to continue to La clan. They do explain better in the next few episodes more about the Shi Clan. I do totally agree that you need a whiteboard of some kind because of who is connected to who.
