I forgot how fast this first arc is lol, they set and objective and it gets accomplished within 5 mins. Back then especially mangaka didnt have a lot of time to let their story slowly build, you had to get to get form point a to b relatively quickly or youd be dropped, I think from this point on dragon ball as a series gets 0.5 percent more serious every 5 episodes, So still a ton of comedy but also some cool elements creeping in

I hope that eventually you'll be able to find more slots for reactions per week to DB but still i'm glad to join your journey through this epic tale

GodUsopp

even just 1 more would make all the difference lol

Mad Man Moon

I was expecting it to be a lot slower, but it seems to be going pretty quick. I'm having fun though. I've never watched any DB before, so this is kind of exciting lol

You are in for a ride of a lifetime my friend, it will slow down a bit more as we keep going but thats because the tone will change overtime, glad you are enjoying it

Please watch Dragon Ball in Japanese with English subtitles, it explains many details much better. For example, after Goku accidentally touches Chi-Chi and realizes she is a girl, the English-subbed version simply shows Chi-Chi smiling. However, in the original Japanese version, there is an inner monologue where Chi-Chi thinks, “After all, he touched me, so I have no choice but to marry him.” That line gives proper context to her smile and makes the scene much more meaningful. My recommendation is to watch it in Japanese with English subtitles.

Hoping to add more episodes in once Bleach is done but can't say how much more. We're trying to prioritize having more variety because there are always so many suggestions 😊

JDanime

Honestly I love it haha. The pacing feels great

Paul

You lose so much comedic timing and context and, simply, epicness, without the English dub.

Paul

Wow, enjoy the ride!
