Horsed Around at Whinny City 2026 (Patreon)

After several weeks of nonstop travel, I'm finally home! Huzzah! I slept all day today, so here I am late-posting >w>;;

Whinny City was the first of several work trips, so I was urgently trying to prepare for several fandom events at once. I was going to be limited on space for this trip, and I tried my best to minimize down to a bare minimum of certain items, leaving most of my postcards, lens cloths, and some keychains back home..but wow, the fandom was hurting for horse merch this weekend! Our running theory is that with Trotcon being online-only this year, and no BABSCon, people had been saving up for Whinny. It really helped me shrink my inventory so I didn't have a problem with luggage space coming home!

I even sold out of a few items before I had a chance to take this photo..!

Right before the trip, I was lucky enough to receive my "Storybook" keyboard sample AND some playmat samples, just in time for the convention! (See video!) The keyboard is the Kickstarter stretch goal I've been working toward for a year now, based on MLP's episode 1, the mythos behind Nightmare Moon. And oh my goodness, I'm so hyped!!

The long streaks and the Nightmare Moon design were the scariest parts to make. I really wanted something striking and vibrant, but I was afraid to navigate colors and designs that stretched across several keys..but they look cohesive! And not only that, but when you look at the designs from different angles, they even look 3D!

I cannot wait to see people using this design on their keyboards. All I have left to do now is to create the exterior box design, and I'll be golden!

It was fantastic as always getting to see old friends and make new ones at Whinny. Here's our traditional group photo!

I hosted a stamp rally with a handful of vendors this year, too. Did you get your prizes? I made a brand new Skyrim-themed Luna sticker! Perhaps I'll sneak her into the Prose bundles this month...

Okay, that's it for now! I hope everyone had a safe trip back home! My next pony convention will be Everfree Northwest, and I'll have a bunch of new stuff with me! >:D
