NEWvember: One of my very first commissions! (Patreon)

Nas was one of my very first interactions on deviantArt! I actually remember hosting this give-away on dA, and being a little nervous as this was still very early on in my journey of drawing OCs for others.

I certainly had no experience drawing horse clothing digitally, much less.. shudder,,, backgrounds! I mean, just look at that glaringly flat horizon, and the sad sunrays back there. And why is your tongue so red, Nas?

The 2020 piece was equally as nerve-wracking for me, actually; I knew that I was returning to a full piece of the character, and I always project this impossible expectation of that a commissioner wants. It needs to be flawless, but I as the artist see nothing but flaws!

Thankfully, I drew a lot of this on my Twitch stream, and turned the nervous energy into excitement to try out some new things. For one, I worked side-by-side to a Bob Ross video for the background. Pro tip: you can ALWAYS benefit from The Bob. And thank you for fixing that red tongue, Past Me.

I got to play a lot with unique posing here as well, which I was very excited for. I love/hate drawing chins!!!

Thanks for sticking around, Patrons. I hope this shows how influenced I've been by the community throughout the years. I treasure so many interactions with people that I may have never met in person.
