Kione makes good on her promise to ruin Sartha in the rebels' eyes - and in the process, accidentally breaks something that cannot be repaired

Partly that's life, partly that's the stories being long, and partly that's because I'm taking extra care with the final act of RESCUE HOUND. I really do appreciate everybody bearing with me

I have not cheered at an ending stinger this hard before. MY GIRL IS BACK!!!!! What an insane chapter. About exactly what I was expecting for Kione. She's so done up on her own supply that she doesn't realize how tight the noose around her neck is. The pace, the last conversation with Sartha, it's all coming down around her head and she's just now realizing how much she's just been a child playing at war. The wolves are at the door Kione, your time is up!!

LENITHHHH Kione's bad end was inevitable but I wasn't sure how exactly it'd happen, and my GOD you delivered. So fucking hot but so tense at the same time, the whole way through. The declaration of love after THAT fringes on absurd and it's such a cherry on top. Sartha's... More cooked than ever, huh? The one person who might've enabled her to exist away from the Handler got corrupted by it. I can't even blame her for wanting to go back instead of trying again with anybody else.

On the one hand, a mean girl scene this brutal is insanely hot. Thank you for your Women’s Wrongs, Kione. On the other hand, one must imagine Pela back in her room, curled in fetal position on her bed, clutching her Sartha poster to her chest while oscillating between ugly crying & catatonic dissociation. Fuck you Kione, everything that happens to you next is your own fault & no more than you deserve. The final scene between Sartha & Kione is wild It’s so bad (read: good). When Sartha said, “I don’t think I ever said that, Ki.” Holy shit I felt the oxygen go out of the room. Pure tension. Your dialogue this chapter was incredible. So so good.

You had me fucking jumping on my bed when reading those final three words 🔥 what a fuckin ride of a chapter. Also it was really nice to read about a trans girl who can't get hard, feels nice to know there are others out there in a similar position 🫂 Gossssssh I loved this one so muchhhh, there were so many incredible momentsss. Love, love, love seeing the Sartha heroism finally bubble to the surface. I actually had to re-read her taking the muzzle off like 3 times to be sure I understood it right! Even under all that she still can't bear to see others get hurt, and some part of her seems to hate her Handler despite her paradoxical devotion, just like she predicted. Gods the language used to describe Kione in this chapter is perfect too. She barely feels like herself anymore with how animated and sleazy all her mannerisms are described. What an utter scumbag. Can't help but feel bad for her, though. She started out just trying to save her friend... Missed Leinth and I excited for her to return despite the fact that she's almost definitely going to make things worse aaaaaaaa
