Hand and Leia 🥰

Honestly, Chewie is such an unsung hero! He's been with Han for a long while, and he's basically going through the heartbreak of losing him TWICE this movie!

I'm really enjoying Han's scenes this time around. I think I got used to Harrison Ford and am appreciating him more.

I was hoping to see Mon Mothma, but she's clearly going to be in the next movie, since I remember seeing her in the original trilogy.

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here and watching along with me!!

I couldn't do this without you <3

FULL LENGTH REACTION | Star Wars Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) rewatch [2025]

Reminder that you need your own copy of the movie to watch along with me since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

Freezing Han in carbonite was a compromise between Harrison Ford who wanted to kill him off to raise the stakes and George who wanted to keep him, also Harrison Ford had not signed a contract to do the final movie and they had hoped he would return. The famous “I know” was something basically improvised by Harrison who was told to just say the first thing that came to his mind. It created much tension because it felt incomplete. However it has become something that has become a part of the Star Wars fandom. They make couples rings with the exchange on them.

What great timing that this reaction is on Father's Day lol

Thank you, Vero! 🌠

Of the original trilogy, Empires Strikes Back is the one that somehow escaped with the fewest amount of alterations (added CGI, cutting of original music) when these films were replaced with the "Special Editions." Consequently, Empire Strikes Back also causes the least amount of angst when I watch it.

2026-09-09 16:00 The Yoda hate is wild. Idk why Yoda is acting that way but he drops the act and becomes that Yoda when it matters. And I love how retroactively anakin coded Vader is in this. It makes me want to believe that there is a deleted scene in a new hope where Vader refuses to go down to tatooine because he hates sand.

Hahaha I feel like that would be a great skit for people to do, Vader being unwilling to go down to Tatooine because of the sand 🤣

Thanks for that, I felt like it wasn't altered too much, but wasn't sure. I think Episode 6 has a few moments that were altered that are really disliked by a lot of fans
