Thank you Brad for this reactr request!!

This was the first time I heard of this movie, and whoooo boy, what a hoot!!!!

I STILL think of dancing a little sidestep, that's how much that particular song left an impression on me 🤣🤣

A load of fun with some nice sentimental moments. And my introduction to Burt Reynolds!! Though I do find that Seth MacFarlane resembles him quite a bit lol

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here!!

As always, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, just feel like sharing... don't hesitate!! 😁

FULL LENGTH REACTION | The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982) [2025]

You need your own copy of the show to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

https://youtu.be/DLMVi5UwQdU?si=x7LGCOF9yhamfiuJ This scene was recorded on a home VCR (videocassette recorder) in the late eighties off of network television.. This scene has never appeared elsewhere.. It was cut from the film prior to theatrical release and only added several years later when the nudity was cut out and this scene added.. It’s not on the soundtrack released by MCA on cassette and CD. You will find it nowhere else but here. In later years Dolly used it as source material for other performances but it has never been presented in its entirety as you will soon see.. Enjoy Burt’s solo.. written by Dolly.. ‘Where Stallions Run’

The soundtrack is not currently available online.. Stage production soundtracks can be found; most notably the Broadway version with Ann Margaret playing Miss Mona..

I love this one so much, Véro! 🐔 It's silly and poignant... my favorite combination. 🔸 Be sure to check out Ms. Parton in the brilliant, non-musical, comedy/equality/revenge/farce NINE TO FIVE (1980).

Fun movies with long titles: "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension" (1984) "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" (2007) - directed by Tim Burton, music by Danny Elfman, based on a stage production "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" (1998) - Directed by Guy Ritchie "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (1966) "The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr." (1993) 1 season, 27 eps and "Marvel One-Shot #1: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer" - 5 min short

Thank you for this, Vero. I haven't seen this since the 80s but I still remembered most of the songs. What a trip down memory lane.
