Another heartwarming/wrenching reactr request!!

Before this request, I never thought Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep were in a movie together, but oh wow do they have chemistry. Clint Eastwood OOZES charisma, and Meryl Streep is nothing short of perfection.

I love stories like this that feel so real. I also love the way that the story is told; the kids learning about their mother and we see how that affects their lives.

If you want to request a movie, reactr is the place to be!! For a flat fee you can request a movie for me to watch! There are a few restrictions (duration, and possibly genre), but aside from those, the world is your oyster!

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

Thank you so much for being here!!

As always, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, concerns, just feel like sharing... don't hesitate!! 😁

FULL LENGTH REACTION | The Bridges of Madison County (1995) [2025]

You need your own copy of the media to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

It's hard to explain why this film is so deeply moving- why Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep have made it into a wonderful movie love story. If you read the book, you'll know that they will meet, fall in love, and part forever... and I think it is necessary that they part. If the story had ended happily with them running away together, no one would have read Waller's book and no movie would have existed. The emotional peak of the movie is the renunciation, when Francesca does not open the door of her husband's truck and run to Robert. This moment, and not the moment when the characters first kiss, or make love, is the film's passionate climax. Eastwood was taking a chance by casting himself as Robert Kincaid, but it pays off in a performance that is quiet, gentle and yet very masculine. And Streep wonderfully embodies Francesca Johnson. Her performance is widely praised as magnificent, capturing real inner turmoil and longing...But the central story glows. I've seen this movie three times now and was even more involved on my third viewing, because I was able to pay more attention to the nuances of voice and gesture. Streep and Eastwood weave a spell, and it is based on that knowledge of love and self that comes with middle age. Younger characters might have run off together, but the older ones might not have dared to declare themselves. 💕💧

I don’t know if it’s just me.. or my setup.. I like the new mike so far.. and before the last one seemed ok.. the one you just had; I had to always crank my output for the level to be acceptable.. ‘Malpaso’ is Eastwoods’ production company..
