More Keanu Reeves!!

Never would I have guessed the premise of the movie before watching it. The world building and story was enthralling and just so fascinatingly beautiful. The visuals were amazing, and the comedy spread throughout was fun.

It being part of DC Comics was a nice surprise, and I definitely am interested in seeing more of John's adventures.

For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie.  You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

FULL LENGTH REACTION | Constantine (2005) [2025]

You need your own copy of the media to watch along with me though since this is solely my reaction. The video is there so you can have an idea when the scene changes in case you need to sync up, but it is HEAVILY blurred so I don't have any copyright issues. Enjoy!!

Great reaction. There was an end credit scene that you missed.

You missed the end credit scene! 😒 Did you notice that all of the angels had gold eyes while all the demons had eyes that glowed red? The sequel, Constantine 2, is still currently stuck in development hell. Keanu Reeves has recently announced that a revised script was submitted to the studio, so there is hope. Evidently, Keanu is happier with the new script, as it has less superhero action elements and more moral shades of gray quandaries.... If Constantine 2 does happen, we're probably looking at a late 2026/early 2027 release date..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru0Cd3sb31Y

Thank you, Vero, for a fun watchalong. I only heard of this movie just a couple of years ago - don't know how I missed this one for so long. It's the type of role that Keanu plays so well. Michelle Monaghan, seen only briefly just before John sets off the sprinkler system in the demon room, had all of her other scenes cut from the film. The director informed her just before it was released. She asked, "Do I have to give the money back?" lol, no. Later, the director , Francis Lawrence, spoke with J.J. Abrams about Michelle and subsequently J.J. cast her in a recurring role opposite Tom Cruise in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise. We have seen her more recently in season 3 of "The White Lotus" on HBO. I think it would be fun if Rachel Weisz had a part in a future installment in the "Knives Out" franchise on Netflix. Even just a cameo walk-on would be great, like the cameo appearances in "Glass Onion".

You asked why John removed the amulet from the priest... It was so the priest could use his powers 🙂
