Oh god, it’s too soon. I’m not ready. 🥺

Ryan

I’m very thankful they made no attempt to draw out “When are the others going to find out about Tuba?” Because that wouldn’t have made sense anyway, and they need every bit of the limited time they have to properly deal with those emotions on top of the other huge twist immediately thrown at us.

Alex

No Roy, it’s now pain o’clock. These episodes are rough, but we will go through this pain again together.

Appletree

Simon is such an amazing character

The rock is from the Jungle Car, where we very first met Hazel & Tuba. Things in it lit up when touched, so it was lit up when Hazel was holding it and turned off once she let go. You can ask Morgan to borrow their punching bag. I'm sure they'll let you tape a Simon face on it.

Tristan Haller

The rock is just a rock from Tuba's car--everything there glows and makes a musical tone when touched. We actually saw Tuba putting it in the satchel when she and Hazel agreed to come with Grace and Simon.

Take care of yourself, this is a hard one emotionally. I’m thankful to see your reaction and it helps to experience this sadness with someone and feel some level of connection.

Terrell

I hate simon so much!!😭

Animegirl

Was funny that she kept calling Simon Steven out of justifiable rage.

I heard in a yt vid essay that the creator saw hazel as the personification of “joy”, n was like: “what if we kill joy’s mom?!” And I’m here like: fuck YOU; Brian! Or whatever their name is. It feels like a Brian.. it’s such a Brian move honestly.. I cry every time I watch ep 6..

SauceyRed

Oh man the next two episodes are my favorite ones this season I'm so fucking hyped!

Spyko

one day I'll be able to watch those episodes without tearing up, today's not that day. What a spit take at the end of episode 5 tho !

This reaction was especially good, as well as cathartic, because you reacted very similarly to how I did when I first watched the show. I’ve never liked Simon. But after these episodes, he was completely dead to me. No backstory could save this piece of shit, it doesn’t matter how sad it is. At some point, your past can no longer be used in regard to your current actions. You have to take accountability for what you do in the present, and not give a sob story to make yourself look better. A tragic past may help explain some of why he is the way that he is but it doesn’t excuse the harm he caused others. And it’s just so ridiculously heartbreaking for many reasons. But especially because I loved Tuba so much, she and Hazel are basically my favorite Infinity Train characters(although I do love many others). I’m glad Mosco warned you you would need tissues, because it would probably have been even more upsetting otherwise.

Kerry Wilson

Honestly, I’d say so far they’re pretty even.

I still say Belos is far worse, if only cause Simon is still mentally a child barely an adult and grew up in the entirely wrong place. I am not saying Simon deserves any compassion, he could change like grace is but he doubles down, but unlike Belos who was an adult by the time he got to the BI, and well tried to and did way worse comparatively.

Myles_Not_Morales

Yeah... I knew this part would break everyone's heart😭 this is the reason why I never rewatched this season again

og.monstr

Everybody say with me: Fuck you, Simon, fah-yuk you Simon!

These two episodes... oof... It is... SO MUCH to unpack. But the part that hurt the most (for me) why trying to comprehend it all through Hazel's eyes. The very innocent and rudimentary understanding of death and loss. The fear of realizing what she is and that she's traveling with two people who hate her on that basis. And that loaded phrase. Grace calling Tuba "One of the good ones." Oof, there is some metaphor in here. But why was it the first place your head went when she transformed was "Did a Passenger boink a turtle person?"! Just... lmao. You are a riot!

Myles_Not_Morales

That round thing Hazel pulled out from the bag that glows from the touch is from Hazel And Tuba's cart, where everything glows to the touch. Not sth new. Tuba brought it with them

Vex Valor

Steven Universe doesn't deserve to have his name associated with this man XD

Eliteguard99

If you don't cry during Hazel's song I'm convinced that you don't have a soul, that scene destroyed me.

Eliteguard99

This is the darkest and most emotional season of the show, and I LOVE IT.

Myles_Not_Morales

Exactly what I've been saying😭 I know a few Stevens and they're all really nice people (but, then again, most Simons I know irl are sweet too)

Vex Valor

We'll just imagine it's my boss Stephen then XD

Hazel's questions for Grace really highlight how cult mindsets depend on their members not thinking any deeper. It's always good to ask yourself why you believe certain things. Also Simon definitely hasn't emotionally matured. Being on this train for so long hasn't been healthy for him, and it won't be healthy for all the other kids. I feel like Grace seems a bit more mature because she's had to lead for so long. That kind of role probably helped her a bit there. Shit... that was an ending... Simon has definitely hit the point of no return with that. I shouldn't even be surprised that a character died considering one did last season, but still, the way it was done, and to such a sweet character hurts. Edit: omg the fucker isn't even trying to hide it? Just says point blank what he did?? And right to a child's face, motherfucker, I would fight him right now if I could. Poor Hazel going through so much, and poor Elijah for the feelings and memories that brought out... I think this may have been my favourite episode of the series so far. It feels weird to say that considering all that's happened in it and the last, but stories that make me emotional are always my favourites. I'll admit, I cried during Hazel's song, and I love that I did
