OMG, I love the password already! That was such a good scene! Gonna watch it on my lunch break!

Joey Quixote

Didn't watch the full reaction yet, but this is one of the few instances where Amaya is not translated. I know you said that it's an excellent opportunity to learn, but if you want to know, without having to traverse spoilers online, I've left the translations below. I shouldn't be surprised that you got some of this right! TRANSLATIONS BELOW: . . . . . . . . . . . . So, here's what I found. Tissues on standby. (at the gravesite) [Amaya looks up at the statue of Queen Sarai.] “Hello, big sister.” [She kneels and then lights the candles.] “You were my hero. Perfect, strong, enduring, compassionate… and I am really sorry big sister, I have failed you. I had your boys safely with me, but they’re missing now.” *** (GOODBYE SCENE WITH GREN) “I trust you, you’ve been my voice. Now you will become my hands to save the boys.”

Athena

If you want a quick ASL tip for your Intros, I recommend making NSAFS into a quick hand gesture! Like how in ASL you'd turn a name into a singular hand sign! (I used to take ASL, but these vids have been inspiring me to get back into it >:D)

Not-So-Average-Fangirl

I'm not crying, YOU'RE CRYING! *wipes tear* Thanks for the translation. I'm gonna go sob in a corner now...

Ryn

I love how they don’t translate for her either, also I hope your knee is doing okay today, I know how much that hurts and can swell and make things difficult

David Johnson

Don't worry, you'll get plot twists...

David Johnson

I think that *Viren* believes what he's saying - or at least thinks he does. That's at least part of his problem, he really thinks what he's doing is for the best. Those are often the most dangerous people...

LikeCat

He really believes what he is doing is correct and/or justifieable for ,,the great of humanity". Que the glorified PowerPoint presentasion. (It was that, I'm sorry)

Carmen_the_Witch

Thank you for this reaction, and I'm happy you also watched the credits for those illustrations. I imagine I was not the only one who mentioned it, though the illustrations can contain hints of what is to come (and that isn't always the case but I didn't want you to feel confused in case nothing is there but cute fluff). Not outright spoilers but little nods to something more going on. And sometimes they are just plain creepy. Also, your learning ASL has me wanting to learn it myself, I love the idea of learning more languages and always have.

Ryan

The great writer J. Michael Strazynski calls this "The monster doesn't see a monster in the mirror."

smile like you mean it

love watching your reaction videos, and seeing how much u r enjoying seeing sign language here u may like A Silent Voice if you have not watched it yet. it's a romance, drama anime movie with ASL

Ryan

And turns. And shenanigans.

Ryan

"This doesn't end well for you..." why do I feel like Mosco has says that to you when you start punning. There is a way Rayla could unbind herself... with a language of love! (She could chop of her arm.) There are several moments where they don't translate for Amaya. I spent longer than I would like to admit trying to translate a joke she signs in another episode... it's fascinating how the reverse dictionary on handspeak.com is organized...

Anzac-A1

I literally only just figured out what "NSAF" means. I feel dumb.

Anzac-A1

Given your love of sign language, I highly suggest checking out the anime "Sign of Affection". The protagonist is deaf, and the anime is about her love life etc.

Anzac-A1

Those untranslated bits are probably similar to R2-D2 is Star Wars, where we infer what he's saying based on other peoples' reactions.

Eliteguard99

Sadly they’re really easy to see coming.

Eliteguard99

Viren is one evil mother ****er. I'd probably rank him as the 3rd most evil villain out of all the shows Elijah has posted on this channel, behind Belos at #2 and Horde Prime taking the #1 spot.

Eliteguard99

Indeed Amiya is very intelligent, she's read more than one fantasy novel and knows "The kings royal advisor is actually a scheming evil dark wizard" is probably the most overused trope in the genre.

Aineyn

What about Simon? I mean, ok, I guess he didn't try to take over or destroy an entire world or start wars or anything like that, but still...

Eliteguard99

Simon is probably #6 in my book (unless I forgot someone), Adam takes the #4 spot with Valentino taking #5. Simon being a kid and the narrative showing that Simon's backstory along with showing he may have been better off if he never got on the Train at all knocks him down many pegs on the list of evil for me. Viren also ranks so high for me because SPOILERS STOP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS In addition to the obvious Racism, Viren goes to GREAT LENGTHS to get the genocide that he's been pining for, doesn't value his own sons life, but what REALLY puts him high up on the scale of evil for me is he traps the souls of others in objects and he keeps them on his person as a kind of "collection". That's really fucked up.

EDub

Love the ASL addition. I always thought it interesting that it’s not learned in schools too. Love these reactions

Kieran Shae Reacts

I learned ASL for a short time, and I was taught you should never sign faster than you can understand. So don't worry about being fast, focus on being precise.

Kayla Gerber

I am convinced the king had his soul transferred in to the bird.

Bailey

I'm months late watching these so I won't comment too much on older vids, but I hope you manage to reconnect with Mindy someday. Also I agree with you on sign language, it's really inspiring to me that we've created ways to communicate with people, and I feel like there should be more resources for learning these things. Also I absolutely love the shirt you wore in this. The chibi versions of Catra and Adora are so cute. I should watch She-Ra again soon tbh
