It's officially time to call Ella Purnell a major rising star after killer supporting roles in Yellowjackets, Arcane, and Star Trek: Prodigy, and now a lead role in the massive hit Fallout.

Ryn

Oh my gods all the takes for the chair jump is amazing

Ryan

I was scared too, but it turns out that "final chapter" thing isn't as final as it sounds, as Netflix is picking up other shows from the team based elsewhere in the League of Legends setting.

SreznoJIG07

I guess any redemption arc for Powder/Jinx will never happen. Powder is gone. Jinx is all that’s left now

Athena

The creators have said that their goal is to make as many shows as they can set in the LOL universe, with each set of characters being their own chapter of sorts. The story of Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn might be coming to an end, but I think the next "chapter" will involve a whole new cast! The world is huuuge and piltovers story is likely not going to be over by the end of season 2, so they'll probably keep expanding it. There are a lot of piltover based characters we haven't seen yet, so I think we'll be seeing a lot more from this part of the world eventually! So long as this team keeps making amazing stuff, I'll be happy <3 (though also so sad that we won't get to see as much of Vi Jinx and Caitlyn 😭They are truly such iconic characters.)

DarkGodHao

They NEED to call it the Final Chapter because Arcane is merely the Story of Zaun, remember that this is taking place in ONLY 1 City/Country on an extremely vast world which is one out of many worlds they COULD build up to with another series based in the same universe

I suspect that the show's going to end on an "And the Adventure Continues..." kind of note. The Enforcers go their way, Jinx and Zaun go in the opposite direction. There's no way this is going to be the end-all, be-all for LoL's lore involving these characters. Most of all, though, I just want that damn CaitVi kiss!

Phineas97024

I think they’re calling it the final chapter because it’s the end of Vi and Jinx’s story. I can see the show continuing with different League of Legends characters. Funnily enough, just as this teaser came out, I found a fun video on a channel called Death Battle. Harley Quinn vs. Jinx. They animate all kinds of battles like that, and it’s really cool. You should try to check it out sometime 👍🏻

JamJarWorks

She’s already watched and reacted to that very video, actually.

BlueEyedRaven

It would be a pretty good b-story line if Mel survived but was left paralyzed. She is sort of vain, so dealing with that could be a decent plot and would still spur her mother to act out.

Xylia

I think the final chapter mention is regarding the storyline of Cait, Vi, and Jynx, mentioning Seasons 3 onwards will be paired into chronologically different LoL characters. As for who on the Council survived I’m thinking Jayce, Mel, and Viktor, as Viktor does “evolve” in a sense, which I suspect will happen in Season 2. These are just my speculations though.

Elias Cristerna

Warwick is the name of the wolf character.

Phineas97024

Huh. So she has. I just found it. Whoops. Alright then. Forget about me then😅

Thunter

I was expecting at least 3 seasons of Arcane, but I’m kind of glad they’re set on ending this story on just two seasons. I’d rather have a story with a clear story ending set, then a story that drags on for X plus seasons because it’s popular even though there’s no goal in mind

Liam Gradwell

It is a shame that this is the last season. I am hoping that this ends the way the makers want end it. Hopefully that means that the episodes might be longer? Can remain hopeful. 💜

The Akimbo Knight

Absolutely love the mental gymnastics and math Elijah went through to prove Mel might still be alive (I mean who can blame her we all want that to be the case)

Ryan

Elijah: "How much is this going to hurt?" Writers: "Yes." If your reaction to the trailer was 20x the length of the trailer, your reaction to the episodes are going to be *epic*. My sympathies to your editor. I have a hunch that most of what we've seen - the raid on Zaun, the showdown between Jinx and Vi - will all take place in the first act. And then we'll get another time skip - the redhead in the teaser poster is probably Marcus' daughter, so the only way she's old enough to be an Enforcer is with a time skip. --- What happens in acts two and three? We suffer. And we enjoy it.

StorytellerDave

This Autumn is gonna be awesome. Heartstopper S3, Vox Machina season 3, Arcane season 2, good stuff incoming.

Carmen_the_Witch

I actually think Vi becoming an Enforcer is something that was put upon her. Vi and Jinx are sisters, she was in the room when the rocket was fired. Caitlin vouching for her can help but I cannot imagine there won't be some level of outrage directed towards Vi. They might hold her freedom hostage to hunt down Jinx, and prove she had nothing to do with the attack. I honestly think that each act for this season will be separated by a few years each time. Jinx would slip up here and there but overall remain a threat, Vi and Cait would make progress where they can. It would also give time for any Zaun Rebellion to grow under Jinx's wing.

Meo

I don't believe that Mel is dead. Her mother's speech could be addressed to anyone from Piltover. Ambessa says "your COUNCIL is dead", not 'the MEMBERS of the council' nor 'ALL OF YOUR council'. In addition, Ambessa would bring the wrath as a response to *any* attack on her daughter regardless of the attacks' success (or failure) to kill Mel. I think the speech is Mel's mother pitching the alliance we see of Enforcers + Ambessa's military, and IMO, based on the tone and emphasis she uses, I think Ambessa is pitching it to Mel, who historically was against this type of play. If she's pitching it to Caitlyn, then any important casualty could be used as ammunition in a well-worded speech e.g.: "your Council [and your mom / and Jayce / and Viktor / and Mel / and etc...] is dead." But again, I don't think Mel (or Jayce, or Viktor) actually died. For one, I swear there are 2-3 frames in the final episode where Mel's body becomes stone-grey like the intro statues just as the bomb hits. (And someone has to build the upgraded sniper rifle.)

The people at the studio making this have confirmed that they're only going to do 2 seasons for each location they explore in the league of legends universe. So while some of the characters will hopefully show up again, the story of piltover and it's champions will be finished in this season.
