Andy

After that Live, I'm even more excited to see the reaction to Cinder's weapon

Kaykic

The food at Beacon is *THUNK THUNK*...weapons grade...

BrightHeart

Elijah's really down bad for Cinder especially with that "Yes mistress" response to "Don't think, obey."

Thunter

“I think he was some sort of cat” “What like a Puma?” DIDN’T I TELL YOU TO STOP MAKING UP ANIMALS

James Long

I hope you find versions of the show that have the into and credits to them. Volume 2 into might be my favorite.

LikeCat

,,Is there a Faunus thats half bee?" - Yes? You will know the answer when you see it.

BeastialMoon

Yake and Blang are my favorite characters too

RedTheRoyal

Your reaction to Cinder saying "don't think, obey" is so real and valid and I'm right there with you lmao. Also idk why these files don't include the opening but you should def see if you can find and watch it somewhere cuz it SLAPS.

Josh Kaprielian

The puma line is a reference to rooster teeths red vs blue which I thought was really cool!

Josh Kaprielian

No he knows he's just quoting red vs blue since it was a reference to the puma joke in the show

MaddieLuna

Watching your reactions to cinder is so funny. Also you will understand the bee eventually.

Emix1021

there actually should've been a volume 2 intro at the end of the first episode. but yeh you should definitely react to that or try and find a way to include them in your videos, loved the video !

Rachel Mae

oooh Elijah is soooo hooked lol…. best day ever is one of my favorite episodes. the food fight is iconic of course but it’s the juxtaposition of that ep that really pushes it to the top for me. emerald and mercury are the same age as our heroes excluding Ruby who they’re a couple years older than. So we see them kill a man before the episode flips to the food fight where Oz specifically tells Glynda let them be kids its not a role they’ll have forever before it flips the focus immediately back to Emerald and Mercury again. Without even telling us their backstories crwby has already told us that those two have been through some shit. it’s just good storytelling

Kisuke01

Correction Majority of characters are 17 and up Ruby is the only one I can think of who's underage she's 15

BrightHeart

It might depend on where the video was ripped from, like if the episodes were ripped from the RT site it would have the intros however if ripped from the blu-rays probably doesn't.

Andy

The bee will make sense before the end of this volume, I promise

Curtis Murphy

Does Elijah know every character is based off of a fictional character, typically fairytales and some other sources? Just going of the talk about Mercury and Neptune names

Kitsune Kokoro

The other Beacon first-year students (WBY, JNPR, etc.) are 17 as of the first couple of volumes

Phoenix_mercury

Also a certain infiltration episode.....

Phoenix_mercury

Yeah, it slightly hurt that she went to the metal before the god in regards to mercury, less so for Neptune. But that's just me, guessing she doesn't know about jnpr's sources

Joe

Grate reaction absolutely priceless . I would Suggest reacting to the first 4 chapters of the world of Remnant Dust, kingdoms Grimm and Aura.

L Frances

I hope you can get video files with the intro & credits for the rest of the season. Really wanted to see your reaction to the Vol.2 opening.

Nic Peacock

People will say the bumblebee wasn't planned from the beginning but it's buzzing has been here since vol 1

BrightHeart

Looking at the Wikia, this is oldest to youngest. In V2, only Blake and Jaune have turned 18. Blake (January 19th) Jaune, (March 2nd) Nora, (June 5th) Ren, (June 22nd) Yang, (July 28th) Pyrrha, (April 24th) Weiss (May 15th) Ruby (October 31st, Yes Ruby's birthday is halloween)

JJ the Wizard

If you're gushing over Cinder, you should see her voice actress.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Oh further back than that — we saw it as early as the Yellow trailer. It does seem to come out of nowhere, though. I mean, where does Yang even park the thing when she's not about town? We never see a lot anywhere at Beacon...

Liam Gradwell

Same Elijah! Why are so many attractive villains also so hot?! It’s not fair! 😍😭❤️

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

RIP Tukson, the first named character to die in the show...Unless the Grimm have names. That'd be so weird, though: "Did you hear about Larry? He got dusted by that blonde with the awful puns." "Nooo! Not Larry!" Yeah, no, that's just way too Last of Us. Never mind.

pneuma163

Flashing strobe lights warning for two scenes in chapter 4 (the next reaction video). I don't think Elijah is particularly sensitive, but it feels worth mentioning. And more specifically to Elijah, be very careful looking things up online about RWBY given your preference for avoiding spoilers. (I have fallen to this before myself.) Now, to this reaction... Seeing your excitement over Yang catching food in her mouth had me thinking that you were not prepared for the food fight of all time so that was particularly fun to watch. Also, nice catch at the hint of Ruby's music theme - the show has so much music to it so that's a fun side of it to notice and enjoy (and I say that despite the fact that I'm not particularly into music myself). And your reactions to Cinder are completely reasonable. I'm so excited for these volume 2 reactions. Chapters 1 and 2 already have you just as curious for what's next as we all were. It's good to see you back.

TheeInnerWill8

Oh, that bee merch is going to grow.

TheeInnerWill8

I don't think she's figured that out yet, looking forward to it

SauceyRed

FOOD FIGHT EPISODE YEEAAHHH!

SauceyRed

On the first episode of every volume, the opening is shown at the end, helps to keep yourself blind to anything that comes up in it before watching. So that's when they're supposed to be watched, end of episode 1 or start of episode 2. I guess your videos just have them cut out?

RenaissanceM

*Sees Elijah simping for Cinder* Me: Don’t do it, Elijah! That kind of girl will break your heart and burn it in a fire!😅

Jason S

Yake and Blang are the best duo.

Ko Villa

Oh man....that "Navi" who sent you the Bee plushie knew exactly what they were doing. Keep that bee with you at all times ESPECIALLY for Volume 9.

Ko Villa

I'm kinda disappointed we didn't your reaction to the new intro. Where do you get your videos for the show from? I really wanna see your reaction to each new intro!!

Thunter

I crushed on Cinder too… until I didn’t

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Also, Neptune is voiced by writer Kerry Shawcross. So now all three of the principal writers/developers of the show have characters to play

jessie H

I wonder if her… feelings for Cinder will stay the same after THAT happens. Love the Red vs Blue cameo

Bryan Forquer

Who needs therapy when you can watch Elijah's RWBY reactions? I seriously was laughing for like 5 minutes straight when she said "Yes mistress" to Cinder! Also I can't believe someone actually sent Elijah a bumblebee!! My heart can't take the cuteness!! That cute little bee will make sense soon!! I am loving your reactions, can't wait till the next one!! ❤️🤍🖤💛

Martin E Melcher

Elijah has found some more "art" in Cinder 🤣 the future is gonna need tissues

bloodyshadow1

next week is gonna be great for rwby. vol 1 is fine, but i feel like 2 is where they hit their stride. not to mentiom team attacks

SauceyRed

I didn't consider how much Cinder would RUIN you, but I'm all here for it lmao Also, I LOVE the bumblebee, that's gonna be so much fun when the time comes!

Jittercritter

I knew the ‘don’t think, obey’ line would GET you lol!! I can’t wait to see your reaction to the intro, I hope it’s in the next one you watch! I like to think of Vol1 almost as a pilot of sorts, with a lot of the ‘real’ stuff hitting the fan starting in s2. Super excited!!

Jittercritter

Ah yes my favorite RWBY characters, Yake and Blaine

Flufux

What the heck, why didn't you get the intro? They were supposed to be there.

Jittercritter

“our tools and weapons are conduits for aura” Pyrrha, vol1 I always assumed Huntsmen are trained to channel their aura into their clothes and weapons, so theoretically they can do it with anything, but the food ofc isn’t built for that so it still breaks fast, just not as fast as it would normally

Canonman28

Kinda wish you reacted to the soundtrack but that was hilarious 🤣

Canonman28

“I don’t get brain freeze” brain proceeds to stop working for a minute😂

Cathy Breuer

To whom gifted the bumblebee plush... I see you and I tip my hat to you, sir/madam/or in between. Loved the reaction!! The reactions to Cinder, and the RWBY girls are great and can't wait to see next weeks!

Octavia

Kinda weird the opening was missing. Please react to it when u can

Ben Disney

Yeah, the openings don't appear to be in the video files you have. That's a shame. I would try to react to it if you could.

Ben Disney

Hold on to that bumblebee plushie, and keep it with you for EVERY RWBY reaction! You'll find out why :)

Kiesen

Whoever gifted the bumblebee plush, I love you. Elijah has been really sharp so far with the series so I'm hoping she'll catch the not-so-sly reference coming up this very volume.

Natasha Grimm

I know that it isn't an official spoiler, but I feel like sending her an actual bumblebee is reeeeeaaaaally pushing it. Come on, guys, we want her to be as blind as possible when it comes to stuff like that

demonic-myst

Nelgune and mercury are roman gods

demonic-myst

Dude its a fanmade term the show gave a nod to their nothing to be blind about

SK- Eferthigra

love the bumblebee cant wait for her to learn its meaning

Aaryn

First things first, omg, the person who sent in the bumblebee, love you! Second of, if you didn't know Elijah, Blake is voiced by Arryn Zech, which you'll know cause she voiced Black Swan from Honkai Rail. Third, LOVE that you are watching this and I can't wait for more

Nektis Noir

Honestly it's interesting that you didn't get the new intro for Volume 2. It should've played at the end of the first chapter or the start of the second. That seems to be an edit with your video file.

FullmetalNinja25

The reason for the food fight is fans had been asking Monty who would win between Team RWBY and Team JNPR.

Arashi

Ah yes, one's fist complete encounter with Jessica Nigri's Cinder. It... does things. She's a villain but G'DDAMN! Side lore bit. Cinder is based off Cinderella, Emerald is based off Aladdin and Mercury is based off Greek god Hermes/Roman god Mercury. As far as Blake's 'secret' of being a faunus, teams RWBY, JNPR and Sun and Neptune know. Everyone else in Beacon doesn't know about her ears or her history with the White Fang. (Which only allow faunus, BTW.) Also, also. There are several World of Remnant shorts per volume 1-4ish of in world lore that doesn't get to be covered in the show since it's typically 'everyone knows this' style of information that's useful to watchers.

Rando

Great reaction, i look forward to seeing how she responds to Cinder through out the series! Hopefully she sticks to the 2 episode format

dainbramage7

We see what you did there. :P

dainbramage7

Lost it at Yake and Blang. Can't wait until you get a chance to watch the intro. It's a banger. This series is why I subbed to patreon and your reactions have not disappointed.

LikeCat

Whoever sent her that is a genius. I can't wait for when Elijah will know why.

LikeCat

I tottaly forgot that line existed and well... Oh God it hurts.

Evil Queen

The panic at Cinder was hilarious and the person who sent that bumblebee plush, thank you because once she gets it that reaction is going to be amazing :) Bumblebee!

Evil Queen

Just imagine when she starts RWBY Chibi lmao the chaos

Phoenix_mercury

*Neptune 🤣 your keyboard not cooperating?😊

Phoenix_mercury

It's not just fanmade. Team combat names, Yang's bike...

Phoenix_mercury

I'm hoping she does, except a ceramic member of jnpr👀 if she figures out the other 3 and the 4th she catches at *that* moment....

Alexis Cardillo

I want to thank the person who sent the bumblebee plushie! Taking Elijah's words from this reaction, "when you know, you know" Cinder's being undercover as a huntress student isn't out of place, normally the age range of the academies are entering at 17, which is most of the students besides Ruby she entered 2 years early at 15, and its a 4 year system, so people who see Cinder and her cohords most likely since they're in there final year, roughly 21. And seeing how you looked up her age she can easily be mistaken for early twenties

dainbramage7

*tosses Bumblebee plush at you* No! Bad! 😜

SauceyRed

The Blu-Rays do have the openings, the group from another channel I watch ripped their Blu-Rays and they episodes have openings.

SauceyRed

What’s “THAT”? There are a few you could mean.

Johnny Daulton

I told you back in one of your first reactions for RWBY that Ruby is 15 and everyone else is 17. The bumblebee is premature. That doen't happen until Volume 9.

xmiyah

Not too sure why you didn't get the intro while watching, maybe something to do with your copies? Hoping you'll get to see it in the following episodes, one of the best parts of RWBY is its soundtracks which include its openings!! It is always exciting seeing a new intro every volume :)

Flufux

The last part of your comment is a massive spoiler in itself, you know?

jessie H

End of Vol.3.

DanFDTR

Yes both Cinder and her voice actress Jessica Nigri have that effect on all of us.

Marisa Maribel

It’s worrying that you didn’t get the intro, because the openings are one of the best parts of RWBY. And the outros with the art and music are pretty important too. Hopefully they’ll show up in the next couple of episodes, otherwise you may need to get new edits that include them. Also, hey another member of the Never Gets Brainfreeze Club!

lemonkatze

"what else do you do" kill people

lemonkatze

rare ozpin appreciation, love that

Bryan Forquer

Same here, I am definitely not going to be able to be patient enough to wait!!

Blak

Dropping in to say, because you mentioned you'd downloaded the Yellow Trailer track, if you weren't already aware RWBY's soundtrack is in a weird spot atm with regards to official sources, due to copyright shenanigans with the Viz acquisition. If you want to make sure you're supporting the show, the songs from volumes 1-8 are available on all major music services under the titles "Songs Part One" "Songs Part Two" etc. The artist you're looking for is Jeff Williams. Avoid anything credited to anyone else, as those are all pirated uploads that sprang up while the IP was changing hands

Haverian

I really hope you are able to react to the soundtracks after the Volumes, or at least check them out and talk about your thoughts on them

James Parry

Lol Elijah's gay panic over Cinder is the best

BrightHeart

yeah best delete this or at least edit it to just the first sentence. Also by Volume 2, Blake and Jaune are 18.

Toamsz Kozak

So to complete the school it takes 4 years and the first years students are 17 years old (Ruby is the only one who is 15) and the fourth year students are 21 , that's why Cinder ,Mercury and Emerald event though they are older can still pass as students

Toamsz Kozak

I Hope that you will react to rwby soundtrack because the soundtrack in this show is just as important in the storytelling as the main plot

LikeCat

There are MANY times it is more important/does a better job than the acual show

cobaltbeau

keeping things spoiler free - the word "bumblebee" is in episode 4.

AnakiK

Heh heh, that user's name is pronounced "Naa-vee" because it's a Zelda reference. Mosco would probably cringe at hearing you pronounce it like Navy.

AnakiK

Oh, and I don't know why you're missing the intros and outtros. RWBY's setup is to show the new volume's intro at the end of each first episode, then it becomes the intro for the rest of them. They're pretty long, so the only thing I can think of is whomever saved these video files wanted to cut down on time and filesize.

General Tacticus

Yeah, I just scrolled down to say this - the intro/outtro should be here and it's a mystery to me why it's not. It's a real shame, too, this one is great. (TNF, they're all great. I would say that about literally any of them. But still!)

Curtis Murphy

I really hope you get openings for the episodes. They're great. And the outcome too with the credits and concept art in the background. Also, hope you can listen to the soundtrack for each volume at some point. The songs are an important part of RWBY

Geoffrey

couldn't agree more; I hope she sees this comment and the other ones about it. I'll be happy either way, but it adds sooooo much more

DarkGodHao

God i forgot how innocent everyone was in the beginning, different time back then.....watching Elijah watching RWBY is gonna be quite the fun journey

Cinder's Apologist

yes to both. opening credits are always great, but the songs are even more crucial to understanding the full story. they aren't just bangers; they flesh out the characters in ways that screentime didn't allow.

Tigerhawk

Oh boy, if you have it bad for Cinder don't look up the VA's Cinder cosplay. Her VA is Jessica Nigri btw.

Bug Catcher Jacky

So, what's his name? Torchwick? Everytime they talk about this dude, I hear 'Torchic' and I'm fairly sure that's not right xD

TheRavenWanderer

Okay the frozen grape thing is amazing. Been keeping some myself for a while now.

Xaimon

Elijah+Cinder in a School Girl outfit= Gay Panic

Cinder's Apologist

man, I miss these days when she was so gay for Cinder... simpler times, just like this point in the show XD

ml

I just learned this very recently but I immediately thought of you commenting on catching the food part. Apparently from V2 director commentary the scene in which yang caught the fruit with her mouth was supposed to be showing how good she is with her tongue 💀 the fruit was a cherry and yang was supposed to be flirting with Blake by tying the cherry stem with her tongue and pulling it out to show it to her. They thought it was a bit too inappropriate for tv and kept the movement but removed the stem😭😭😭😭 we are so robbed
