I know there's A LOT OF OTHER STUFF going on in this episode, but I have to say I love Caitlyn's little B plot as well. She steps out of the role of general and goes back to her roots as a detective trying to truly understand the situation around her, and what happens? She discovers that Ambessa has been making deals with scientists behind her back to get what she really wants from this city, even someone as dangerous as Singed AND on top of that, she realizes that neither Warwick nor Shimmer are the “perverse abominations of Zaun” she thought they were. They are just another example of the undercity being mistreated and abused by an uncaring Piltovan, and one of high standing and acclaim motivated solely by love for a lost family member, at that Someone like her. Yet he has still committed/facilitated some of the most horrendously monstrous acts in the history of the city I honestly think this new perspective on the path she's walking is a huge moment for Cait and the decisions she is about to have to make, even if she doesn't say so out loud

DarkGodHao

Here we go to one of the most out of pocket family reunions EVER...... And then we wait.....

DarkGodHao

Also we need to discuss the Godfathers and their Mother at some point

Annieme

This arc has given me so many different feelings i dont know what to do with all of them lol

Kisuke01

I took him saying "For Love" then her reaction had to do with her mother cause that's the entire reason she went off the deep end. Also I don't know anything about LoL lore I thought that Vi and Jinx weren't blood siblings more like that hey we were raised together with multiple kid kind of siblings

Catherine Savil

Singed’s scar is from Powder’s explosion last season 🫢

jack

To me there is no doubt that Vander and Silco both loved Felcia (Vi and Jinx’s mom) but I do believe she loved Connol the father of Vi and Jinx. I think Silco and Vander realized this and made there bed no matter how much they actually love her she loves someone else. To me there’s no way Vander didn’t love her because of how he speaks of the rage when she died and how he raised Vi and Jinx. Felicia might have even known to some extent hence why she went with Vanders name recommendation.

Florena Emberlin

Singed started the series with a normal face. He gets burned in episode 3 because of the big explosion chain reaction Powder sets off. While I like the stuff with Vi and Jinx, part of me also can't help but think 'actually Jinx, Vi's plan was working and if you had stayed home they would have escaped.'

Ash

You mentioned wanting to know how Singed got the scar on his face. Back in season 1 when we first meet him, he doesn't have it. The explosion Powder causes at Silco's warehouse ignites the shimmer below the balcony and blows up Singed's lab (in episode 103). That's how he got the scar.

EDWin qaz

Singed’s daughter is not Lux, Lux is from a different nation called Demacia

Blair B

Arcane upload first thing Monday morning? Can't think of a better way to start the day 😁

Pickapok

*clapping* Caitlyn. Has. Two. Hands! I know it is very unlikely to happen, but a polyamory endgame for Caitlyn, Vi and Maddie would bring me so much joy. It may just be wishful thinking, but I think Maddie may very well have been crushing on Vi a bit back in s2e1.

BP

It's not Lux, it's another champion though.

.

Don't spoil.

Ro_Stock

it technically wouldnt be a spoiler, since caitlyn said Dr Reveck and the Champion his daughter is, is also named reveck :)

.

I disagree. Caitlyn doesn't love Maddie, she just used her for comfort. As much as I like Maddie, I don't believe she is end game :(

Pickapok

Like I said, very unlikely to happen

.

It definitely was an eye opener for her, and her behavior. She's been somewhat doubtful of Ambessa, and not fully agreeing with Martial Law, after a few months. Seeing Singed go so far for love really put things into perspective for her. How far is she going to go? Would it be worth it? Singed isn't able to let go and wants to save his daughter, but at what cost?

Ryan

I watch Arcane for the angst. Sapphics so dramatic. We've seen Caitlyn in reflection a lot this season, and now we see Vi in a mirror. Curious... Having watched all of act two, I am impressed that you weren't a total wreck during the watch party. As it turns out, Amanda woke up every day for three years and chose emotional violence.

killer_queen225

I do play LoL every so often, and Lux has a pretty interesting back story. She is from the land of Demacia. Her family is of Noble standing and they protect the crown family. Funny enough their last name is Crownguard. Her brother is another Champion named Garen and he goes into the military for training and takes his role seriously. Lux does posses magic and that is highly viewed with fear in Demacia. I believe its actually forbidden there? Dont quote me on that. But because of that, she hid away her magic powers and tried to keep them under wraps.

demonic-myst

forbidden is a understatment demacia has witch hunts

demonic-myst

not lux no but we did know thr name singed being docter ravnic means we know who she is a specific champions bio states she is the child of docter ravnic and was saved by her fathers exsperiments

demonic-myst

you wouldnt recognise her as the champio nlooks nothimng like herself after being brought back

silverarrow06

Glad to see Caitlyn finding back to herself...😊 Singed got scarred (and his nickname I guess) from Powder, when she burned him and his shimmer lab in season one. The same event where the shimmer infused Vander choked Deckard to death. I guess Singed got himself his head some time later, to study the effects of shimmer or maybe to recreate it...🙂🤔 "And what about those overdesigned bitch-mittens you didn't even built yourself?" That was a first class burn from Jinx...😂👌 The "new" Jayce looks more handsome imo, but he also looks like he's seen things beyond our imagination. He has a constant expression of pure horror on his face...😨😱

Saiyasha

I think the way it takes Mel some time to recognize Kino would imply that they haven't seen each other since they were prebubescent, so about 11 or 12 at the latest. because that would explain not recognizing him, especially with men there can be a _huge_ shift between their Pre- and Postpubescent looks and voices. And it would also mean he hasn't seen Mel since she was probably about 8 or 9, since she is younger than him

Robin NW

I want that hug as a poster on my wall. Or some merch things even. (And I never by any of that stuff)

silverarrow06

Oh yes, that wonderful, heartbreakingly beautiful and so so much needed hug will be ingrained in my memory as one of the most touching moments of this show. Including Vis heartfelt "What are you waiting for, he is your dad, too." 😍💖😭✨👌

Robin NW

I agree that Violyn is the obvious better name for them (because it includes Vis full name Violet and it sounds better), my only butt is that it would be hard to find when searching for them.

silverarrow06

Both characters evolved so much already, both learn so much about themselves and that is reflected in showing them in reflections. But knowing the writers so far, there could be more behind it...🤔🙂

Saiyasha

Swety, you know the singed lore. His face wasn't scarred like this when he worked for SIlcon in Act 1. Then Powder made the shimmer factory explode in his face. Now he has scars.

Saiyasha

Oh, I just realized something! I had _seen_ it on first watch, but couldn't put my finger on why it stood out to me: When 'Kino' says: Whatever that Child inhereted is of terrible importance to our captors", Mel's hands are being shown to lay close to her stomach. It _looks_ as if she wants to lay then on top, but just barely keeps herself from doing it. I theorized last season that she got pregnant in that Scene with Jayce, because the way they intersperes Victors blood going into the hexcore had a very similar vibe to sperm going into an egg. This hightens my suspicioun, and with that "Whatever that child inhereted" would be more than just her power, there is _another_ child in the mix now, possibly hightening her 'worth' to her captors.

Saiyasha

It's so funny, Salo was such a hateable Character, like, even after his legs are crushed, you feel nothing but contempt for this spines twit. But seeing him here, seeing that Victor healing him has clearly changed him and then just seeing him get _crushed_ like a bug is... so unnerving.

DarkGodHao

The word you're looking for to describe Isha's disability is that she is "Mute" she can't speak, she can hear with her ears so she's not "Deaf"

Godzelda

I think "Non verbal" is the most accurate. Since she can vocalize a little bit, but doesn't say full words

GreenRob

As always you have the best reaction vids. If you wanna see a little bit of Ambessas back story (with a litle hint of Mel) I would sugest you watch the music video "Blood Sweat & Tears" that music video has lot of lore, but because you need to know more about general Runtera lore I would sugest you watch watch videos from Necrit explainig it (he made two videos)

Ferret

Y'know, there is a P&Z card in Legends of Runeterra called Jae Medarda...

Ferret

In the flashback, remember that Vander and Silco considered each other brothers. By extension then, the mom isn't a lover or just a deep friend, the fact that she's there with them, seemingly on the day the Last Drop was established and they were kicking off their revolution, was their sister.

Levente Nagy

That hug always makes me cry, the way they slowly reveal it is so good.

man-of-bvz1n3ss

The "Blood, Sweat, & Tears" music video Riot released before Season 2 dropped might have something to do with this.... we saw basically THE GRIM REAPER doing SOMETHING to Ambessa's womb when she was pregnant with Mel, and the Black Rose might want to use it. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhTZTy1rZhw

Brett

Now I can't unsee Vander, Silco, and whatever the woman's name is as a throuple, or something else that's similar. I don't think they were, but I can't unsee it.

Bailey

Really bold of them to end this series without resolving most of the plot threads. But I can't complain about them finishing with the family back together and everything being ok. Haha, what rest of the season? Ok but seriously though, I'm concerned about what exactly Jayce saw that made him act the way he does now. Like I know he saw something dangerous and feels he needs to destroy the Hexcore by any means necessary, but geez dude, his demeanor is frightening. Also I'm always genuinely impressed by how observant you are. I did not pick up on the red glow when I watched, and you pieced stuff together so quickly. Either I'm not very observant, or you're extremely observant (or both lol)

SharkMessiah101

Singed's Daughter is a champion but not Lux, Lux is from Damasia which is an enemy of Noxus so we probably will see her soon considering she has fought the Black Rose before at well. Singed's Daughter is named Orianna, Im guessing we might see her at or near the end of the series so wont say too much but funny enough like that you mentioned Lux considering that she and Jinx are one of the most popular LoL ships lol. In every alternative medium that Jinx and Lux have been together in their interactions are very amazing and somewhat flirty

Katelyn Benroth

You are the reason I didn’t give up in arcane! Never stop being amazing and showing us just how much you care! 🫶🏻

silverarrow06

!NO SPOILER, BUT SPECULATION AHEAD! My take on the break-up between Vander and Silco: I think it was Vander who led them over the bridge, peacefully at first (why else would the parents leave two little girls home alone, if they weren't fully expecting to be back soon?) or at least not planning to fight, but then something that Silco did (or Vander believed it was Silco who did it) let the Demo escalate into a fight, where molotov cocktails were thrown and Enforcers started shooting. This caused many deaths, amongst them Felicia and Connel. Soon after, the two girls arrive at the scene and Vander takes them home. When Vander dropped them off, he immediately turned around, filled with pain and guilt, put all the blame on Silco and went after him, tried to kill him but Silco managed to escape. I think it was immediately after, because when we saw Vanders silhouette from Silcos perspective, the sky behind him was red. That means they were close to the bridge and the bridge was still burning. After some time Vander came to regret what he'd done, makes him self accountable for what was his share in this mess and tried to find Silco to apologize. With no luck. Vander then took a full u-turn and stepped away from their shared vision of Zaun and concentrated on keeping the peace and raise the children (I could imagine that Mylo and Claggor lost their parents on the bridge, too). The rest, as you say, is history...🤔🙈 When Vander and Silco saw each other as brothers, I guess they saw Felicia as their sister, that would explain the trio's closeness and the almost invisible father, because he was an outsider to this friends group. The three might very well have grown up together...🤔🙂 I wouldn't be surprised, if the story ends at that bridge in that night and the sisters learn what exactly had happened.

LikeCat

That would be so cool. This would put a lot of puzzle pieces into place (not just in a ,,this is might have how it happened" kind of way, but for real this time). On the other hand I need more of young Vander, Silco and Felicia.

bloodyshadow1

not lux, but a different champion

Skuttle

The scars on singeds face were from season 1 with the shimmer explosion. Also that is not lux

.

I caught that too. I believe she's pregnant or she thinks she is. But I don't believe it happened when you said it did. There was a skip of a few months after all, i think her belly would be more noticeable by now. (Amanda, during the interview, said 3 to 6 months have passed)

Jittercritter

Tearing up, full body goosebumps… this is easily the best episode of the show for me. Probably one of the best episodes of ANYTHING for me.

LikeCat

I both don't want to watch the reaction to the next episode, becouse of what happens. And really want to watch the reaction, because of what happens. (Her reaction to it, not that the things are ,,good")

Suplee215

While caitlyn is still a bit far, I donthink Singed is one of the few people who deserves life in prison and solitary confinement. And while caitlyn didn't know he created shimmer at the time, whatever he did to create warwick will he highly unethical and illegal. Not that piltover has a leg to stand on in that department and plenty of the higher ups can share the cell but for warwick alone Singed committing kidnapping, illegal experimention on someone without consent, and the murder or manslaughter of anyone warwick killed. based on real life law as we don't know the legal system of piltover but I think he is morally responsible for the people warwick killed. He knew there'll be casualties and stuff.

NamelessSoul

This might just be my favorite episode of the series. That hug man, got me so bad. Also on that flashback, real throuple vibes for sure

Gabi

Fun fact: Vi and Jinx's mom is voiced by Ella Purnell herself. :)

Austin

As soon as The Black Rose called Mel “Sister” my immediate thought was “God Damnit Ambessa who did you do the nasty with this time” 😂

Puddingz

I'm still tearing up whenever i watch this ep. So damn good, and the girls truely deserve that moment.

Cassandra Russo

I feel like 2-3 yrs have passed. then the whole "sister" thing is sister mage, not real sister.

Sionda

Felicia: "You two are gonna figure this Zaun-thing out. I don't care if you have it carve it out of the bedrock, covered in blisters. You're not allowed to fail any more... for her, for me." And just like that... the entire story is flipped on its head: Vander and Silco both tried to fulfil their promise to Felicia and her children. But that got Felicia and Connol killed. After that, Vander was devastated and took on Violet and Powder, while Silco took off the silk gloves. They split, with Vander trying to keep the peace between Zaun and Piltover, fearing Violet and Powder too could die in the crossfire. And Silco turned to trying to free the undercity completely from Piltover's power and enforcement, by whatever means necessary. Then Silco adopts Powder/Jinx... and he sees Vander's point of view. "Oh, it all makes sense now brother. Is there anything so undoing, as a daughter." And now we know Silco was telling the truth: "I never would have given you to them, not for anything." Because he is not fighting only for himself, not only for Zaun, but for Felicia, and her children. "Figure this Zaun-thing out. [...] You're not allowed to fail any more... for her, for me."

Charlee's World

The little girl is Orianna for league of legends

ml

I feel like the person that came across cait's mind when singe said "commit acts deemed unspeakable, for love" is more likely her mother. Since she was driven so far to the other end mostly out of love for her mother, which fuels her entire hatred for jinx who killed her
