One interesting detail about this new intro (other than the pletera of sneaky forshadowing for the season to come): In the beginning when everyone is walking together notice how the only one who notices/ responds to that yellow thread (a Thread of Fate) is Vax - for obvious reason, him being the the Champion of the Goddess of Fate. I just mention it because if you rewatch the Season 1/2 intro he was the ONLY one who did not notice its ,,thereness", everyone else did (to some degree) in their ,,intrudatory" parts of the intro.

Taliesin during Vox: I'm gonna play a human who created the first gun for cool personal story reasons (redeption after doing something unreversable)... Years later (IRL) Taliesin during M9 (When a friend in the group steals a gun for fun) - He literally said this: Why is it STILL haunting me after all these years?!

J'mon Sa Ord is one of the most visually memorable characters of all time in my opinion - they're around Grog's height with eerie black and gold eyes, barefoot and dressed in humble clothing (despite being the emperex) That's just peak character design right there!

Elijah seeing Percy and Vex moment: “I thought they were gonna kiss or something”. Oh don’t you worry about that for now. 🤣 Also I love seeing Elijah and Mosco share little tidbits of their own campaign. I can only imagine what DM Mosco makes up for them. 🥰❤️🌈

12:06 - All the items on the table are references to Critical Roles 3rd campaign. The dollhouse was created by Travis's character Chetney Pock O'Pea for Marisha's character Laudna (it was even signed by him), the "Taste of Tal'dorei" goblet is from a themed restaurant that features items and (horrible) historical reenactments from the continent of Tal'dorei, the tickets are for an area known as the Dreamscape Theater, and the mask was commissioned by Taliesin's character Ashton Greymoore and is based on a reoccurring "frienemy" named Ira Wendagoth aka The Nightmare King. 12:12 - This scene with Grog interacting with the 2 kids is voiced by Travis (as Grog, obviously) Laura Bailey as the little girl and their son Ronin as the little boy! The whole family voice acting together! ❤️ 22:49 - You are correct! Emperex J'mon Sa Ord is non-binary. 25:00 - The oversized tankard is a reference to the large tankard Sam used as his drinking cup for campaign one, which occasionally would have a meme like message taped to the bottom of it to be seen whenever he took a drink from it. This tankard would become a biohazard as the years go on. lol 27:24 - Scanlan pointing and shouting "Objection!" is a reference to Pheonix Wright from the vg series Ace Attorney, a character Sam Riegel voiced in a few games. 30:48 - The demon Zerxus Ilerez (who we will see later on in this season) is a characer who did not originate from campaign 1, but is a character from a miniseries known as Exandria Unlimited - Calamity, which aired 5 years after the Vox Machina campaign ended! We'll learn more about them in the coming episodes!

The Emperex is indeed non-binary! Fantastic character design! Absolutely love Pike taking a bullet off the chest plate and yelling "My tit!". Dunno if that was an adlib from Ashley or written in.

"The Ruby of the Sea" song that is sung is about the parent of one of the characters in the second campaign, "The Mighty Nein."

Your camera wasn't straight, but, neither are you, so it evens out. There's a saying, "a well armed society is a polite society" ... and that seems to be Ripley's belief, too. But that assumes that the society *has* been well armed for generations so that it's normalized. You take a society and give everyone easy to use lethal weapons and you get the Purge. Although I have to wonder what good a pepper box really is against magic. (deadpan) you poor unfortunate soul, you have to deal with having a hot nerdy girlfriend who matches your mischief... your suffering knows no bounds. Will Mosco be joining you for the next episode? I hear it's quite... vexxing. She should be there for... emotional support.

My favorite episodes this season are 4 and 7. But I will say 3 is a banger The ruler is non binary. If you watch the subtitles, they're the Emprex

J’mon Sa Ord is non-binary and an Emporex. Also even back during campaign one Matt was very clear on Exandria’s inclusiveness and diversity.
