My favorite part is they clearly had a discussion that ended with "I don't care how awkward it is, we need to have a long, lingering shot of Ricci's dead body or the fans will all just assume she's coming back again some time."

Jonathan Smith

I think you need to go watch Penny Dreadful. It's a horror series set in Victorian London and has all manner of spooky stuff, in addition to another great role by Billie Piper.

I think you mispoke when you said the pilot for TEA was coming out "next month"? Or is this our trick and treat prize? The writers have a lot of plates spinning... it will be interesting to see if they stick the landing. We're just going to ignore how knowledgeable Elijah seems to be about bank robberies and covertly breaking out of mental institutions? Do we need another round of "Never Have I Ever?" I hope Ms. Capri (Billie Piper) is still a surprise twist villain in act two. We know how hot lady villains are Elijah's greatest weakness. Whelp, Wednesday's dead. Show's over. What'cha reacting to next?

Also Secret Diary of a Call Girl. It's kind of all there in the name.

I'm glad this show understands how sparingly Uncle Fester should be used. He's so gloriously weird that he steals every scene he's in.

Also, fun fact: in the OG Addams Family series, Gomez was in an arranged marriage engagement with Ophelia, but fell in love with Morticia instead.

Part 2 is out now. You're gonna love it. The whole scene with even *allowing* Thornhill to visit Tyler was just... What kind of a facility is this?! All of that was a bad idea! I love Fred Armisen as Fester. So wonderfully unhinged. I can't say enough for the music in this series. The way they take well-known modern songs and make them... atmospheric for this series. Just incredible stuff.

I haven't watched the second half of this season yet, waiting for the weekend. But I'm very curious how this is all gonna go. So many questions and dots that need to be connected. Always a joy to see Fester and all his oddity. Morticia burning the book immediately made me think of what happened in Brave, when the mom burned her daughter's bow and then immediately tried to pull it out of the fire. That almost looked like regret on Morticia's face.... But alas what's done is done. Enid and Wednesday both being jealous of the other spending time with other people is so funny to me. Enid's rivalry with a 13 year old is petty and very entertaining. FREE BIANCA!!!! DO IT NOW!!!

I kind of wish he never appeared onscreen, and we just got occasional updates on some insane thing he’s doing with no context.

If you're still in Scotland when you react to episode six, warn the neighbors. Your reaction will be cacophonous. And I cannot wait.

I was so excited when Elijah was focusing on Fairburn as the main suspect, was hoping she'd ignore the assistant at least until just before the reveal, alas she figured it out, as always haha

38:20 "Moves like a woman" I really wanna know what you mean by this LMAO 56:52 I'm also not a huge fan of it, it doesn't bother me too much though. But in this case, it makes kinda sense to me. Wednesday and Fester probably just didn't care that the zombie could be freed, or at least didn't expect it. The zombie's chain thing being weak is probably just them underestimating the strength of the zombie, especially since it didn't manage/try to free itself anytime before this. The zombie went for a random person. The guards didn't stop Thornhill because there was a fucking zombie chomping on their fellow guards, which obviously should take priority. 58:58 I was slightly surprised you never considered LOIS wouldn't *necessarily* be a person. I clocked that shit almost instantly because when a name is written in all-caps it sometimes tends to be an acronym. I wasn't 100% sure, obviously, but it made a lot of sense to me, it'd be an easy way to add another small twist/reveal, which they did. 1:04:39 Every door opened so this makes sense 1:09:48 They do hit him (90% sure), the bullets just don't hurt him

Every time she mentions she's trying to figure out the twists and such based on how writing works (i.e. formulas), I always tell myself I'm not gonna follow that if I ever write something. It's cool that viewers/readers can figure out plot threads and twists based on the writing, but I personally think it's cooler to figure out shit based on the content, not meta-knowledge.
