YES FINALLY!!! Can’t Wait To See Your Reaction To The Season 2 Finale Elijah Cause Man It Was So Good 🖤🖤🤌🏻😁😁 Have a Great Day

Ryan

I’m really confused at them keeping Tyler alive, because what else is there to do with him at this point? Unless they’re planning to redeem him so he can hook up again with Wednesday, which please god no. Although I’m intrigued by Capri’s role in it, especially since it indicates Billie Piper is planning to have some free time in the near future rather than still being tied to her horrible role in Doctor Who.

„Her horrible role in DW" I first though you meant Bad Wolf/ Moment/ Rose Tyler... Because I (no joke) COMPLETELY forgot... ... „THAT", in which case you are right

Ryan

It’s baffling that Davies would seemingly rather people think he’s this bad a writer than just admit he had to pull a whole new ending out of his ass when Ncuti told him he was out on short notice.

Funny thing, Tim Burton loves to do reconning... The axe and the knives are there since Agnes' prank to Wednesday. And I still got hopes for Wednesday and Enid to be a couple, I want to believe that Burton is playing the long burn romance and not a full blown queer baiting.

Yeah, like would it be annoying that we would have a gap year... Maybe. Do we hate that he lied (and redconned his statement), just so that he can seem the „good guy"... Yes, we absolutely do. (This comes from someone who most of the time can and is overlooking horrible writeing choice - whatever the reason may be - of shows she enjoys, because I dont want my opinion on IRL stuff to - too heavy - influence my opinion on shows I hyperobsess over)

Regarding your rant, I see you and raise. Not only would people call it romantic if one of them were male. They'd be calling it "peak" romance. "Find someone who loves you like-" romance. They'd be compared to Gomez and Morticia on the level of "relationship goals". At this point, the only way I can imagine it not happening is the studio chickening out over "political pressure". I'm proud to say I clocked the Thing and Isaac connection in episode 4 when they had their encounter at Willow Hill. As soon as they seemed to recognize eachother, I became very aware of the fact that Isaac was wearing gloves. I did not realize the Knight/Night connection, nor Thing being an anagram for Night. And I COMPLETELY missed the corpse moth until you pointed it out. The Invisible Girl being the child of divorce is so fitting! I really hope we get more of her next season. Manifesting a scene in season 3 out in the wilderness with no cover where werewolf Enid curls around a sleeping Wednesday to keep her warm throughout the night.

About Tyler looking at Wednesday so softly, I don't think it's a romance thing more than an obsession thing. I tend to relate Wednesday and Tyler's relationship to a slightly less chaotic version of Joker and Batman's; Tyler likes that Wednesday can figure him out so easily and Wednesday hates Tyler but loves the constant mysteries and trouble he brings, so they are locked in an endless cycle of complicated hatred and one-sided "love"(on Tyler's end) where neither can fully bring themselves to kill the other despite desperately wanting to (almost to the point of compulsion). So I think Tyler is still a bad person and his love for Wednesday is just a part of him, but it doesn't mean he's trying to be better in any way nor that he suddenly has empathy for people, he still doesn't its just that Wednesday is an exception.

Wenclair are killing me ❤️

Y'know, if you got a 3D printer, you could design and print your own fidget toys. A new fidget every day... ADHD (handshake emoji) Austim - picking up on subtle details, missing the obvious Sapphic outburst counter: +9 To quote another show with a bubbly colorful blond paired with a brooding sullen goth girl, "I believe the... subtext here is, is, rapidly becoming, uh, uh, text." If Wenclair is canon, Elijah is going to break her chair. If Wenclair is queer bait, Elijah is going to break her chair. Either way, we greatly anticipate season three. But, seriously... Buffy and Faith, Yake and Blang, Wednesday and Enid. YOU certainly have a type ;) ... although I assume you ship [spoilers] in Wynonna Earp so you're not completely set in your ways.

Alright, so final thoughts. I think I still like season 1 more as a whole, even with the Wednesday love triangle bs. This season felt like they were trying to juggle too much, and got a little over ambitious. I also don't like how they did Enid's sacrifice at the end. You mean to tell me she transforms having to dig Weds out and then doesn't at least help her take on the Hydes before bolting? She doesn't transform again having to save Weds from the Hydes again? It just felt... eh? I also just didn't care for the Hyde storyline in general and I'm not looking forward to them bringing it back again next season (most likely). I was looking forward to a Tyler trying to get revenge spree and they turned it into whatever the heck weirdness his mom and uncle had going on. Also, not entirely sure how true this is, but apparently the writers originally just had Fester going after Enid at the end and it was Jenna that had to be like "uh, no? Wednesday should go too." Again, allegedly that's how that went down but if so.... Thank you Jenna for actually giving a shit (also just super funny that apparently next season is going to be Weds trying to save Enid...again. Like, come on, they're doing this on purpose). BUT! That said, I will say that I feel like there were also some improvements. They let Tim do more of his Burton-y things (stop motion story time, literally watching a man burn to death etc etc). The body swap episode was a real highlight. Grandmama was fun. Getting Weems back (even if the logic for it was bs) was great. Agnes was a delightful addition to the cast and I really hope we see more of her in the future. I love this little trio. Bianca getting more screen time was great. Fleshing out Ajax a little more? Great. I actually found Dort to be a pretty effective villain. Enid's wolf also just looked so much better this season. So, a mixed bag, but so was the first season if we're honest even if the first season's script felt tighter. I am interested to see what goes on next season, especially with Hester apparently having been keeping her daughter locked up all this time.

The twist of Thing being Isaac’s hand was absolutely insane lmao, and yeah I love Enid and Wednesday, they’re so adorable! Also, I was wondering, are you planning on reacting to the latest Mighty Nein trailer?

Mari Diaz

Im not a huge wenclair shipper but my god it would've been so stupid for Wednesday not to go after Enid. Like WDYM

.

I don't know, I kinda stopped hoping for Wenclair when I read about the creators 'having no plans to explore a queer romance between Wednesday and Enid'. Disappointed. If it's a show about friendships like they claim, then, I don't want to see a Wyler romance happen at all either. On the other hand, I do love Wenclair's friendship as it is, I just think it could've been interesting to see it going romantically.

Wednesday and Enid is starting to feel like a slow burn and is reminding me of another certain show that did this. They don't want to rush anything but are still laying buildup and foundation. Maybe platonic, maybe not. Whatever it is, they are getting the screentime; camera framing, chemistry, story focus, character development.

In the last few episodes and this one, Grandmama Hester kept trying to get Wednesday to come stay with her. Why does she suddenly want her so close to long thought dead daughter, who seems obsessed with having her dead?

Alastar Wolfe

I don't want to see Wyler happen at all because I think it's toxic as hell, can he redeem himself? Sure but it'll take alot and I don't want there to be a romantic thing between him and wednesday, I think that ship has sailed for her too however I agree with her, not killing him because wednesday is not a murderer, He was unarmed and defenseless, and I don't think her character would openly kill someone like that. She might deny it, but she does have compassion. But as far as wenclair i would love to see it happen because it does seem like they're hinting at more than just a friendship between the two but tbh I don't want it to happen yet. I want it to happen in the very last season because a lot of times for me personally if they have two characters that start off as friends that everyone wants together and they then put them together before the show is over I think a show tends to lose its luster because there's a lot of shows that i've watched take Bones for example once the two main characters got together the show got dull bc that build up was gone. I personally prefer slow burns if the show is gonna stay running. So i'm definitely hoping that that is what they're gonna do. i know that they said that they're not planning on doing it, but they also said they weren't going to do a body swap episode so I don't think we can really believe a hundred percent what they say anyway. I won't call it queer baiting until the last episode if they don't do it, but in that case I would rather have wednesday, not end up with anybody and just have her bestie. Just for reference, there is an old english myth that if someone who truely loved and trusted the werewolf called it by name that it would turn back to human
