I've been your fan since your amphibia/TOH (i dont remember anymore hahaha its been so long) reactions. I've also been a fan of RWBY since 2017; you have NO IDEA how satisfying your reaction is. Actually, this whole scene, their whole STORY, is incredibly satisfying. The Bee shippers have been fighting and defending this ship from homophobic people for so long, so many of them so sure this would never happen and always trying to rub it in our faces that Blake would probably end up with Sun (Nothing against Blacksun shippers, just the homophobic ones), waiting for so long was so worth it when the time finally came. RWBY has it's own problems, but single-handedly one of the best LGBTQ+ representations I have ever seen. Thanks so much for reacting to this!

And yeah...we waited 10 whole years for this moment. I'm glad you got to binge through it at points. Anyhow Director's commentary below for some exposition regarding Episode 6. So now that you've seen the episode, I can finally talk about the Director's Commentary and what they said about Yang's sexuality. She has none...not yet...she's still trying to figure herself out (even at that moment of confession with Blake). She is however, certain that she's in love with Blake though. So here's part of the transcript from the RWBY V9 Bluray commentary: Kerry: “Blake has been bisexual for the longest time - to her, I’m talking from a character perspective. Maybe (why) it’s taken this a little while... (Reason number one) is because we want it to feel right. But (reason number two) is this is something that’s new for Yang, and she’s realizing something about herself.” The rest of the V9 Episode 6 transcript (regarding Bumbleby): Eddy admires how his writing translated to the screen, that Yang was keeping everything surface level and fun, that “Oh, your cat ears are cute.” But then Blake turns it around and says “this is what I really admire about you” and completely takes Yang off-guard. - The scene’s clouds part. Yssa says the following in the background because she’s getting pulled into the scene as the others talk about it. Yssa: “I’ve been listening to it. I’m gonna f***ing cry. Oh it’s this part, Ah-ha, that look, ahhhh. And then Blake just like, and it just brightens up, and her ears. And I’m like ‘OH NO’ ” [she likely means “oh no, here come the emotions”] Kerry can’t remember whose idea it was for Blake and Yang’s lines before the confessions to be spoken in their heads. - As the two move to the central platform, Yssa says “Ah-ha-ha, dry sobbing! ahhh…” - Kerry praises Casey Lee Williams’s musical work for the scene. - Eddy says it took a lot of hands for the Bumbleby scene to come together how it did, and it’s one of the things he’s most proud of creatively. Kerry agrees, detailing the different teams who were involved and elevated the scene beyond what he had in mind. - Eddy said there was another version of the line from Jaune as they reacted to Blake and Yang kissing, where Jaune said “I can’t believe I’ve been gone for years and that still hadn’t happened yet.” but it sounded too cynical, or like Jaune was a creeper. Now for Ruby: - Eddy says they wanted the episode to end on the moment where Ruby finally gets back the thing she thought she needed, but once she got it back, it’s bad and doesn’t feel like it anymore. “It’s like a rejection of that purpose, that identity.”

💛🖤💛🖤BMBLB!!!!💛🖤💛🖤 Ladies, Gentleman and non-binary pals……THIS is how you do a slow burn. Back in 2023 when it first came out, I do remember seeing them all across twitter and the art style of the show caught my attention and I am a sucker with shows that have LGBTQ plus themes……….however I completely forgot about that until a little over a year later I saw team RWBY in their atlas uniform and I loved the style so much so I then watched the show and finished it in August and I was so bummed out as at the time what next for RWBY with Viz was TBD and I was all done……..and funny enough after I fished the RWBY beyond shorts I noticed a familiar reactor who did The Owl House back with "Wing it Like Witches"that uploaded 2 hours ago reaction to the trailers and may I just say I knew it was going to be a blast when I saw the title *Lesbian Reacts* and them say “I really like Blake and Yang” because funny enough without any indication of LGBTQ theme of the show or how the characters were going to interact…..you clocked it in hook line and sinker and it was SO freaking funny watching that. And the rest was history! It’s been so much fun seeing you loving this ship and cheer for it, defending it, going over the development and waiting patiently for the time to come and now you get to see it explore they're journey as girlfriends, from "I like your pajamas!" to "You have cat ears!" with Yangs flirting game. <3 With Blake and Yang, they did an amazing job setting the 2 of them up with they're journeys with them being strangers, to friends, sharing they're personal struggles with Blake and the White Fang and Yang with her mom’s/abandonment issues along with what happened post volume 3 and how they dealt with it. It’s also fun seeing someone who seemed so introverted blossom out of their shell thanks to the sunshine that is Yang as they never really gave up on each other even with a few hiccups they then soon understood each other and got stronger because of it with how well they fight together. I do think the reason (story wise) the reason the confession came was because of the fact Yang did seemingly “die” in volume 8 and Blake didn’t want to waste any more time/miss her chance with the one she loves and the soundtrack playing (Worthy/bmblb Part II), the way it was done, the lighting, the words chosen, the acting from Arryn and Barbra was *chiefs kiss* and one last fun fact from the team themselves…………..this was planned allllll the way back in the development of the show as this was the goal all along. Another fun fact, people lift there leg up when they feel safe and passionate so in Blake's eye, canonically Yang is a good kisser And for me, they are my 3rd all time favorite ship but I still adore them and I am SO curious for Nora’s reaction as she missed it………..it could not happen at a better timing though and sadly……worst timing (for reasons you’ll see soon). 10/10 reaction and around 30 minutes just for the bees and I couldn’t be happier with this RWBY journey and this moment here so thank you Also, you are now officially unbanned from the Viz Media Store, I think I know what collection you’ll be buying. Now that the cat's out of the bag (no pun intended), here's some behind the scenes info the creators released: Both Yang and Blake's voice actresses knew their characters were going to be a couple since volume 1, and they actually posted a really cute video reacting to the confession scene (which you can feel free to watch and maybe react to as well). Otherwise, according to word of god, while Blake was well aware she was bisexual since long back, Yang had no idea she was into girls until she met Blake, and that Blake is her first ever romantic partner.

The thing that always gets me about the bridge confession is how much these two just plain ADORE each other. There are a million things to say, but I am always grinning ear to ear when I watch them just rattle off all the things they love and admire about each other. It’s just insane. They really are the OTP of OTPs for me. Of course the other thing is the mutuality. Everything about their relationship is about meeting in the middle. From being there for each other, to protecting each other, to killing Adam, to confessing —these two are always in step with each other. I love how that has been such a focus for them, since the beginning. They are such an ideal partnership, and the writers took such great care and focus with that.

I know it might be obvious but the writers confirmed that Blake is Yang's first love and that while Blake has known herself to be bi, Yang is still figuring out her sexuality though some members of CRWBY have leaned her towards pansexual 🌈🌈🌈🌈 and according to Arryn and Barb (Blake and Yang's voice actresses) bumblebee was planned from the very beginning and I can only imagine how hard it was for them to keep it silent 🥰🥰🥰🥰

You waited 9 volumes. We waited 10 years! Which actually is worth noting, it's easy to see Bumblby as perhaps less remarkable given the other representation particularly in animation that happened first. But this was planned 10 years ago (there's actually a stream pre-Vol1 where Arryn -not knowing that they were live yet- asks if she can talk about Blake's "lesbian lover" still on youtube), which is before Owl House, before She Ra, even Legend of Korra was only in season 2. We hadn't even had "vague on screen and later confirmed by the writers" when they were laying the foundations, so it was something of a leap of faith for the team when they setting out on this. Another thing that is remarkable is the proportional effort for the scene. Creating a dynamic skybox, the wind effects and blooming flowers is a huge amount of effort (and money) for a scene that is purely a character moment. It's a real testament of how much the characters, and the Bees specifically, mean to CRWBY. Last thing. It's implied here, and more heavily implied in the script notes that they revealed later, that Yang's hesitance is in part because she's never been in a romantic relationship before. That she'd focussed so much on raising Ruby that she never made space for romance and so she's been struggling to place those feelings now. In contrast to Blake who, even if a lot of her experience was terrible, has enough to know for certain where she stands. Which is just another subversion of the "ditzy blonde" stereotype Yang has been defying this whole time.

Okay, no, seriously, why do you know about Summer's weapon? Please don't tell me you got spoiled... No, the sword at the back isn't Jaune's. Though I can see why you'd think so. But seriously how do you know about Summer's weapon? We literally did not know or see it until this point and even then we weren't 100% certain. So why do you know? The reaction THAT moment was everything and more than I hoped it to be! And as many others have likely pointed out, what makes this slowburn even better is that it was literally planned since day 1. We know from Barbara and Arryn that Monty told them early on that their characters would end up together eventually, so it was always the goal. (And having to keep this secret for 10 years!) Arryn even accidentally almost spilled it at one point, unaware that they were live, and asked one of the writers if she could "talk about how her character is in a lesbian relationship?" Of course she couldn't, but still. People of bad faith will reject it, but who cares about the naysayers who don't like Monty's vision. Now I'm obligated to tell you that for the V4 soundtrack, there is one track that isn't in the volume itself, but it's part of the ost called BMBLB that you definitely need to listen to, preferably after V9 and with lyrics. The song you heard in the confession is considered "Part 2" of it, with lyrical references :) Honestly, Bumbleby are the greatest of slowburns. It's not a love at first sight which is so cliché and trope-y, especially with straight couples with no buildup. But these two? They went from strangers to partners, then teammates, got closer as friends, and over time the feelings were there as they went through a lot together. Yang took Blake leaving personal partly because of these budding feelings, and Blake specifically mentioned Yang by name when it came to regret for leaving because of her budding feelings for Yang. People claiming that it only started in V6 don't consider everything else beforehand that shaped the love that was to come, partly because Blake and Yang are both girls. Had Yang been Ruby's brother I know these people would sing a different tune (ugh) Another fun fact to this lengthy comment: back in V2 during the cafeteria scene, Yang was supposed to catch a cherry and twist the stem, and show it to Blake. It got cut, but the blueray commentary confirms it. Also, do you remember the bumblebee plushie someone gave you waaaay back? (no not from me) Saying you'd get a kick out of it eventually or something? lol

Jaune The Rusted Knight Seeing his fate………….was beyond heartbreaking, especially as we last saw him at the end of volume 8 and after helping with Penny’s sacrifice and then this……..the official timeline for him was about 15 (CRWBY said 10-20 to be exact so I’m rounding it) years now being in his mid-late 30’s, with him not knowing anyone……and waiting and waiting. In my eyes, Qrow does come to a close second but there is no character who has suffered more than him with being the only one who could do it to Penny, Pyrrha, Cinder toying with him, being bullied, his responsibilities, it really is heart breaking for him, just imagine being alone for so long, how can you not lose your mind and you’ll see more on that with the coming episodes…..and the white hair isn’t because of age…. Also, you might want to go back to a few seconds before Jaune explained Alyx because you did miss something. And pay attention to the background. And that wasn’t Jaune’s sword but close, though I am curious how you know Summer’s weapon because that’s info you shouldn’t have…..yet. So like the cat, I’m curious.

Virtually everything that can be said about the confession has been, and I too have been waiting for this episode more than any other I think. So I'm gonna share a thought about the aftermath. Elijah mentioned Ruby's body language at the cabin, and I'm wondering if, in her current state of mind, she's seeing this as another loss. Blake and Yang together, in her mind, is Ruby losing her sister. I don't know if I'm reaching, or reading too much into it, but it's something that could be true.

I'm not in the target demographic of RWBY being a well-into-her-fifties woman that also happens to have come out in Canada as a Lesbian in the 80s when it wasn't particularly easy. I've followed you for your whole run to see a few reactions including the end of Volume 3, Volume 4 Chapters 10 and 12 with Renora, the Volume 7 Renora kiss, and these two chapters.. And you NEED to watch Chapters 7 and 8, and 9 and 10 together. And you MUST watch and react to the volume 9 animatic following chapter 10. Please. As for ships, over the years they have been few and far between in magnitude for me. The strongest for me at the time was Ally Mcbeal when Ally and the man who would become Iron Man pierced my heart. Alas, Robert Downey Jr virtually destroyed himself with heroin in real life (thus ending the ship) and that ship was denied. The next time it struck was Renora. Yep that far apart. And with Bumblebee it all started with Volume 2 with the laser pointer and Yang's chat with Blake. At least for me. When this chapter was about to release Barbara Dunkelmann told the fandom to stay off the internet if they couldn't watch this chapter right away. You also touched on Blake raising her leg while kissing Yang. This scene made me think of Pyrhha and the Arkos ship when they kissed in Volume 3. Mixed sadness and happiness for me. Also, the author of Alice in Wonderland was Lewis Carroll hence the name of the character in the story. The BIGGEST takeaway from this chapter were the blacksmith's words, in my humble opinion, in that "Nothing. No one is ever truly lost." You commented on Summer Rose's axe and the vision Ruby had. And just in case no one has pointed it out yet, and/or in case you didn’t notice or know: The flowers that bloom in the split-screen line that separates their faces before fading away, and then bloom all around them after they start kissing, are lilies. What an unexpected surprise to have this here now a few days early. Discussion at the start regarding the episode 6 name was quite different to how things occurred when Ep6 was first released. Lots of minor spoiling on Social Media from CRWBY , VAs and even Casey excited for the episode so we all knew what the title meant though most reactors also seemed to have big trouble saying cumulonimbus. The Music in that scene is a Duet between Casey and another singer called Ariyel. And thing is, Jaune, RWBY, they all have versions of Alyx's story and expectations and assumptions. But nothing the Cat has said has been false. He speaks in puzzles and riddles and obfuscations, but there's truth in everything he's saying. Jaune, meanwhile, may not be in the best mental space to assess the situation. If you thought Amanda Overton keeping Mel's fate a secret for six years was impressive, Barbara and Arryn kept this a secret for ten. Blake is officially bi, whereas Yang's sexuality isn't specified. Barbara however personally headcanons Yang as a lesbian who has struggled with a great deal of comphet, and has stated at SacAnime that she feels that if Beacon never fell, Yang would be struggling with it well into adulthood. The show is pretty flimsy with whether it's a noncisheteronormative society or not given its handling of May Marigold, so I guess it's plausible.

But Blake already had a whole list of what she loves about Yang ready to go. Blake had been thinking about this a lot. Especially since she thought she lost her. And Yang was shocked! Those freaks are so down bad for each other. - I know not everyone is a fan of the creatures in the Everafter being the first characters we audibly hear be called they/them and/or implied to be nonbinary because they're non-human, but I like it. It's cool to see a society (or rather societies) divorcing from binaries and it be completely normal. - That is indeed Summer's weapon! Good job on recognizing that immediately. It's one of my favorite weapon designs in the series tbh. Especially since it introduces the woodsman motif into Ruby's whole Red Riding Hood allusion. - Keep in mind what the Blacksmith said. Nothing is ever truly lost. They've already shown that they got back Penny's sword. - This song playing is called Chatterbox! Who the lyrics are about is up to your interpretation. Also, if I remember correctly, Casey Lee Williams said it's partially inspired by Breaking Benjamin's work. - The best part about the creepy Jabberwalker voice is that it was originally the place holder one of CRWBY did and they decided it actually fit really well. - "I am so tired of leaving places in ashes." Ruby baby girl please don't take that personally. - Screaming crying over here over Jaune naming his steed Juniper. And Pyrrha's cape being the tie for his hair. - "No wonder you guys were excited for me to react to this." lmao - I feel kind of bad that the first time I watched RWBY I didn't like Jaune that much until I got to V9. Something about him being tormented made me like him and changed how I viewed him upon rewatch. - Weiss is Definitely into older men lmao. I think Jaune is around 10-20 or so years older? It plays as Atlas is being destroyed. - Fascinating how whenever the RWBY characters- a bunch of fairy tale allusions -try to follow a fairy tale it doesn't work out. - HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - I know this scene fucking WORD FOR WORD. Timing and everything. I could even do it without the scene playing. - I mean, this is a confession in cumulonimbus clouds. - She's being humorous, but there's something so sweet about Yang talking about Blake's cat ears specifically. She was so insecure about them and hated them being mentioned, so Yang bringing them up and her loving it is adorable. - The song is called Worthy aka bmblb part II. I start crying pretty much every time I hear it (just like I cry when I see this scene). - I have a print from Arryn Zech and when I asked her to write her favorite line, she wrote "I think we're already falling." I still need to get a print from Barbara with the matching line. - I've been waiting for this since you started the series and god this was worth every penny. - The way you said "You have no idea." fucking kills me - Everyone on CRWBY was frothing to work on this scene. SO many people requested to work on it and you can tell how much attention to detail they put in. - Barbara Dunkelman got the early cut of this scene and would sit in her office at Rooster Teeth just replaying it and crying. She's seen it dozens of time. Arryn Zech meanwhile didn't see it until after it released when Barbara showed her and she cried. I am so happy that you have finally gotten to the confession at the end of (in my opinion) the best sapphic slow-burn I have ever seen! Ever since the beginning of the planning for the series Bumblebee have been a package deal! During character designing they were always adjusted together, and they also have incredibly deep connections in their lore and inspiration! I have mentioned in the past how Blake and Yang both have significant traits from both Beauty and the Beast, but some of my favorite symbolism between them is how they are deeply reminiscent of the Sun and the Moon. Also, I have no idea if Elijah has versions with content warnings, so mods if you happen to see this, please make sure to give Elijah the following warnings: Chapter 7- Self Harm and Suicidal Ideation. I love how, even in her joy, Elijah still understands what Ruby is going through, and how that affects her reaction to Yang and Blake’s happiness, she’s really struggling and I’m glad Elijah notices. I just hope Elijah remembers what happened in chapter 5 with the blacksmith and Summer’s weapon, though I won’t blame her if she can’t stop thinking about the bees moment. Ah, nice surprise to see this up tonight. This reaction was everything I wanted it to be and more. Loved that episode five was good enough in and of itself to make it seem like that was what everyone was excited for. Just as I love that as soon as it's apparent that Blake and Yang have been separated from the rest that this was what we wanted a reaction to. Perfect. And the scene is perfect, too. You can tell how much cast and crew put into this. The song is amazing, the bridge metaphor, the dialogue, the animation. Even the location. They waited for this to give them and I quote "privacy;" especially Yang, who really needed the time and space. As for them going from how the kiss started to them making out, and you caught most of what is going on...just when it starts to pan up after they first start kissing, you can just see Yang pulling Blake in closer. There are some clips of this online still, I think. Another small detail is the way Blake is cradling the back of Yang's head when they appear in the field--this is how Yang cradles the heads of people she cares about when she holds them. Okay, non-bees stuff real quick. Little sleeps for two reasons, one meta one metaphorical. The meta reason, is Little is the doormouse from Alice in Wonderland and they also kept falling asleep. As for the metaphorical, you may have notice how in tune to Ruby's emotions Little is. Sort of a Catra/Melog situation, but more directly depicted. So, we can guess there is a part of Ruby that is...not as active as normal, kind of dormant. That kind of thing. Yes, it's supposed to be troublesome and disturbing that Ruby keeps letting go and giving away and not wanting pieces of herself (like her weapon) back. She is not in a good place. And, yes, Jaune has been through it, too, and not exactly himself either.

Saturday, March 25, 2023 was the date that the RWBY fandom collectively cried and sang out in joy! I remember waking up Saturday morning and rushing to logging on to watch this episode and just started crying as soon as they got to the platform. Ep 5: The fact that Jaune named the jacklope Juniper makes me wanna cry. CRWBY! How dare you! I also just love the design and voice for the Blacksmith. One of my favorite character designs in the series. The entire atmosphere of that scene is so freakin heavy. You’re not sure whether to be worried or not. And then that quick flash of Summer in the axe blade. Summer crumbs! Give them to me! Ep 6: Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for you to get to. The moment we’ve all been anticipating since you started reacting to this show. We had been waiting years for this moment. Ten years for a lot of people, only seven for me. This scene still makes me cry. It makes me so giddy and happy and it’s crazy that we finally got it. These two have been through so much and it’s just… this confession was so sweet and wonderful and perfect. All the small details, from Yang being hesitant because of her abandonment issues and what if she’s still reading this wrong. The fact that Blake was so ready to say it she didn’t even give Yang a second, a moment to think that her feelings weren’t reciprocated. Immediately saying ‘I love you’ before Yang has even finished saying it herself because she briefly lived in a world where Yang was gone and she’s not wasting anymore time leaving things ambiguous now that they’re here. The way Yang’s eyes go big and shine when Blake starts off with ‘I think you’re an extraordinary person’ because she wasn’t ready for such a heartfelt and serious response, because she still couldn’t believe someone valued and saw her like this. The way lilies bloom around them, which are common symbols for sapphic love. One of my favorite quotes about this scene from the commentary is one of the writers, Kerry (I think), saying “They were in front of each other the whole time” when they are both finally on the platform which is just… excuse me! Also, Blake's little leg pop when they appear in front of the others is so funny. Girl really just had her fairytale kiss. The nerd. “Feels like I’ve been waiting forever for that” was equal parts Miles and Jaune lol. Ruby not wanting to take Crescent Rose back is definitely a metaphor for Ruby denying herself. After Ruby said in V1 that weapons were an extension of themselves. There’s also a neat parallel with Yang when Tai presented her with her new prosthetic and Yang didn’t want/wasn’t ready for it at first. When Ruby passes the waterfall before Jaune tells them about Alyx her reflection is Summer. That little musical cue from the last scene of V8 when Weiss is looking at Atlas falling. Lewis seems to be a reference to the author of Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll. “I couldn’t even be the make-believe hero.” Yikes.

Salem's origins? Ozpin's lies? the fairy tales that litter Remnant and rarely tell the full story much less the truth? SO. BUMBLEBY!!! as others have probably said by now, if you thought getting through nine volumes in rather quick succession was a long wait... Barbara and Arryn, the VAs for Yang and Blake respectively, had to keep that secret for TEN YEARS. THEY KNEW FROM THE START THAT IT WOULD HAPPEN. IT WAS PLANNED ALL ALONG. also there's a great video somewhere of members of CRWBY sitting down for a post-episode talk where they revealed that literally EVERYONE was so excited to be involved in the Bumbleby Confession episode; all the animators wanted to work on The Scene, and though Kerry wasn't directing the episode (that was Eddy), he still made it clear that the Bees Moment was for him lmao. so yeah, this really was a passion project for everyone involved, and that helps make it all the more special. bonus: if you poke around, you can probably find videos or compilations of Barb and Arryn referring to Bumbleby throughout conventions over the years... which is hilarious because they claimed to be so chill about it and yet. these two were ship captains from the start and would work in just about any nod they could to Blake and Yang being a thing. it's fucking hilarious and adorable to see how passionate they've been for the Bees this whole time. I was hoping you would take time to rewatch that scene because IT NEEDS TO BE WATCHED MULTIPLE TIMES. I don't blame you for just focusing on The Confession Itself and The Kiss even though the entire conversation leading up to it also deserves attention as it emphasizes not just their love but how far they both have come. they really did bring out the best in each other AND IT SHOWS. also I hope you notice not just Yang's hand going around Blake's waist but the way she pulls her in as she's going in for the kiss. just so beautiful how Yang is hesitant right up to the moment they do it while still pulling Blake in :3 ALSO notice how they both moved in together! "She's not protecting me... and I'm not protecting her... We're protecting each other." THEY ARE PARTNERS, EQUALS, AND THE KISS ITSELF REFLECTS THAT. matching each other's moves, Blake giving Yang the space to finally say what's on her heart, Yang being sure she's not pushing things while Blake ofc is so ready for it... GAAAAAAAH!! and yes, it is so so thrilling to realize this happens mid-season so we are going to now have Bumbleby Couple Moments from here on out. one last note: I am disappointed that you didn't have your bumblebee pillow! the one that somebody gave you all the way back during your v2 watch and then you freaked out the first time you heard "Bumbleby" used during the mecha fight. YES!!! This truly is the day that we've been waiting for!! Ever since Elijah first announced that she was going to react to RWBY, I immediately knew that she was going to absolutely love episode 6!! I could easily talk all day about how much I love the Bumbleby kiss, but I'll try to keep it brief. Episode 5: overall a good episode, I like the fight against the Jabber walker. I don't like the addition of Neo's new ability. She was already way too overpowered to begin with, but the writers just keep giving her more and more unnecessary powers. I did like the reveal at the end that Jaune was actually the rusted knight. As far as time goes, I estimate that he's been stuck in the Ever after for a little over two decades. Now on too the best part, episode 6!! The Bumbleby kiss was about as close to being perfect as you can get!! I love the way Yang said "You have cat ears!" To Blake. It was funny and adorable. I love the way that Blake looks at Yang, right after Yang says "any big truths we haven't dropped on each other yet?" That look on Blake's face said everything she needed to. That she was ready and that she was absolutely 100% sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt that she was truly in love with Yang. I like that Yang actually hesitated, she was scared when she realized how Blake actually feels about her. "It feels like a cliff, and if I do it. I'm just going to fall." Yang is afraid that if she makes the leap, that there'll be no one there to catch her. But when Blake says "I think we're already falling." Blake is letting Yang know that if she does fall, Blake will catch her. Yang says "I think I love you." She was still scared, but says it anyway. The only thing that I would add to that scene is I wish Blake and Yang had said more things that they liked about each other. But I get why they didn't since they only had so much time for the episode. Your reaction to that episode was perfect!! I am definitely going to be rewatching it many MANY times over!! One last thing, you definitely have to check out the YouTube channel "Xiao Long media" if you get the time. It's run by a queer female Scottish couple their names are Kelly and Ceni. They just got married at the end of last year! They have been reacting to RWBY pretty much since the beginning. They are also HUGE Bumbleby shippers as well!! P. S. Girl I can't tell you how long I have waited for your reaction to this scene, watching you become absolutely obsessed with them has made the wait so damn worth it! I totally agree on the 'Blake fell first Yang fell harder' look on their relationship, I personally think Yang started catching feelings for Blake shortly before the Vytal festival dance and then realized she had a full crush afterwards. There are videos on Youtube highlighting their relationship throughout the show and it so worth rewatching them to see all the little moments that clearly hint at the building love between them.

THIS is the reason I watch reactions. The reaction to these two episodes were fucking PERFECT! From Jaune being the Rusted Knight and all that, to Bumblebee becoming canon. Pure fucking peak! One thing I've noticed a few times of people being "icked" by how the ever after works(the lack of death, sans Jabberwocky intervention) when for the ever aftans(probably spelled wrong) ascension and getting a new "role/purpose" is an entirely normal thing for them and genuine "perma-death" would probably be a strange and off putting concept to them which I find super fascinating

Now that we finally got to this episode and it's 100% confirmed Yang is sapphic. Unlike Blake, Yang doesn't have an officially confirmed sexuality. The only time she ever commented on boys was all the way back in volume 1 episode 3 and now rewatch that scene. Yang says she approves of the boys then looks at them and actually isn't that interested and then she notices Blake. We don't know how far back this had been planned, but I argue that was also pointing to her actually being more interested in girls without realizing it yet. Yang has grown so much from the character in volume 1. This is one of my favorite confession scenes I have ever seen. It is so well written and I wouldn't change anything about it. I also love the song that plays.

Idk if it's been mentioned, but during the bridge scene there's a cute little color swap I don't see a lot of people notice. In nearly every shot that's just Yang, the sky is yellow, and for Blake it's purple, BUT when Yang is thinking "it's like a cliff", she can only see the purple sky, like she's imagining falling for Blake, and when it pans to Blake, the sky behind her was already the pink color its ends with when they come together. Actually I personally think that Yang was the one who fell first and then Blake fell "harder". If you look attentively at the scene when Yang first saw Blake, you can see her smirk and her eyes being half-lidded while she looks at Blake, which I like to think it means she already found her attractive. Blake on the other hand (no pun intended) didn't seemed very fond of the idea to get close to anyone, including Ruby and Yang. And about the fact that she found her in the forest, my personal theory is that Blake somehow knew about the teams forming rules and left in advance so she could have a head start on the others AND get to choose her partner herself (because she wasn't on the cliff with the others). And either 1. Yang just happenned to be the first one who catched up to where she was ; 2. Blake was impressed by the way she fought those Ursas ; and/or 3. She decided to give Yang a chance since she was one of the few people she has already "talked with", which is still less scary than a complet stranger. That's fitting since Blake has very strong trust issues in the early volumes, she just left an unhealthy relationship with someone she thought she knew and could trust and she wouldn't want to simply let fate decide over who she'll be teamed up with during 4 years. I also like the idea of Blake falling for Yang bit by bit and fully realising the dept of her feelings towards her only when she was away or when they met again at Haven.

Good catch on Sundered Rose (Summer Rose's weapon) I missed it myself the first time around, though since Blacksmith is going to be back, I caught the next time. Time is in the Ever After is, as you realized, wonky. That's the technical term. ;) Since Jaune has that much obvious white in his hair, my take is that he's in his later 40's at a minimum... so sort of old enough to be Weiss' father so I do not particularly support White Knight redux, despite Weiss' apparent interest. Maybe if he was young again. (Well, no, still a White Rose main) And then to the Ponderstorm. Yes, Jaune coming back into play was a pretty big anticipation... but this... this is the pay off. Nine Volumes. An estimated 2 years of in world time, 10 years, our time, and the Ever After had enough of them dancing around each other less then two days (maybe even less then one) before it decided to 'lock them in a closet until they kissed or killed each other'. As an aside, their theme song for this is 'Worthy (Bmblb part 2)'. Also out of curiosity, do you think you can keep this from Mosco for a couple of months? :D :P Though I see you missed the background 'reflection' behind Ruby at 49:16 like a couple other reactors I've seen who got this far. Although... now we get to see her state at the end of the next two chapters.... and then the final two. Well.

Its a fun behind the scenes into how long it was planned for, etc. The episodes aren't numbered but it's the one titled, 'The Voices of Blake and Yang from RWBY talk Bumbleby - Always Open'. It's kind of a generally accepted take that Yang fell first & Blake fell harder. Yang has never shown any interest in anyone other than Blake, while Blake was pretty preoccupied with the White Fang shit, Adam, and even Sun...I like to think she realized her feelings somewhere during their separation (V4-V5), but after they reunited, Blake's top priority was Yang amd to rebuild that relationship however long it would take. When I was a child RWBY was something me and my cousin watched together on her coach. From a young age I knew I was very different from other girls my age, because I zero interest in boys my age. Watching Cartoons was my escape and despite the fact no cartoons showed anyone like me at first I didn't care but I attached myself to RWBY, and the character of Yang mostly. As the volumes went on and I began to see myself more and accept my queerness I began to see the vibes between Blake and Yang, and it helped me accept myself and be happy one of my fav shows had people (who were seemingly) like me. So volume 8-9 when it was so in your face with it made kid me happy and this kiss scene when I first watched it made me cry. I LOVE RWBY <3

I keep rewatching this reaction because after 10 years of waiting, this is how we all felt. I was screaming at my monitor and crying too. Also Blake and Yang's eye colours respresent them being soulmates. They have the colour of the other's Aura colour. For over 10 years, since the OG yellow trailer dropped, I have loved this show like no other. Since Day 1, I was rooting for Bumbleby. First hints dropped in V1E6, and their story developed at just the right pace to not feel rushed and out of the blue. Okay someone else pointed out this out to me, but of the 4 potential love interests Blake has, 3 of them have blue eyes (Adam, Sun, and Illia) and the one she fell in love with has purple (Yang), the color of Blake's aura/soul. Just in case there were any doubts that the Bees are indeed soul mates. Also fun fact: Tumblr staff spoiled a bunch of people with an email about Bumbleby finally being outright official right after this episode aired. Keep in mind that v9 was a Crunchy Roll exclusive for the year it aired with plans to release it for free on RoosterTeeth's website after the year was up, so some people decided to wait for that, instead of paying Crunchy's subscription for 1 show.

how'd you recognize that weapon???? WAIT GO BACK YOU MISSED RUBY'S REFLECTION YAY FINALLY YOUR HERE LET'S GO!!! the waiting paid off! I remember screaming just as much when I first got this episode! Everything about their confession is AMAZING even Jaune's Oh no your weiss figure :( you said it was expensive last time you almost knocked her over... Okay so NOW I can finally bring up the eye/partner theory that a lot of people had back when the show started! It was basically that every partner couple in volume 1 basically implied/foreshadowed romantic relationship! And so far it's been a pretty solid prediction with Ren and Nora, Jaune and Pyrrha (rest in piece), and Yang FINALLY with Blake! It's one of the reasons why I'm so gung ho about White Rose and Bumbleby as ships because while the latter has more foreground presence and growth in the text, WR is more subtle as every of the canon ships all have different interactions and starting points from each other! (plus RT did kind of market them a lot lol) This all said I DO think Ruby was very much in romantic love with Penny, she just didn't realize it till later. I also absolutely cackled at Weiss's reaction to Jaune lol. I do really hope in volume 10, Ruby and Weiss get to have a good heart to heart conversation. They have a lot talk about given everyhing. So far everyone on their team has had one with each other except them lol. I really like the small moment where Ruby leads Weiss away from the market it was really soft and sweet imo. Both are interesting!!! I have long thought about the similarities between Weiss's and Neo's childhoods. They aren't identical, but there are a lot of similar themes. But I never imagined how that would relate to a romance, interesting! But so is Neo and Fox! (Orange Sorbet is the name apparently). A non-verbal person dating someone who is blind? Very thematic shirt you picked.... Episode 5 was the episode where I realized the Jabberwalker only appears in odd-numbered episodes. Episode 1, Episode 3, then Episode 5. It's kind of a funny trend. Out of all the Acres in the Ever After the Garden's Acre is my favorite, I'd really want to live there if I could. So that bird guy selling food? He's literally a Hawker. God dammit, Barb. Little is always sleeping because they're an allusion to the Dormouse, a mouse from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland who was constantly falling asleep. That line about how they're trying to help Ruby get home, even though they don't know how, is very similar to Ruby herself always trying to help people despite not always knowing the best way to do that. Note the book burning when Jaune appears in the intro. That simultaneously symbolizes Team RWBY truly diverging from Alyx's story, Jaune revealing the lies Alyx told in her book, and Jaune's trauma from Cinder. Lol, I did not expect that return of "Yake and Blang", that was hilarious. You missed Summer appearing in Ruby's reflection in a waterfall. That's what she lost. I always laugh at Yang's "You've got a really good... brain!" line, it's very much her. Also, Worthy is such a beautiful score. Bumbleby really needed an entire fairy tale dimension to go out of its way just to confess to each other, huh? Lol. Also, according to the writers, Yang only realized she truly loved Blake at this moment, hence why she's so stunned.
