Ruby turning to the camera at the end and saying “Thank you” was very much the show saying thank you to the fans, as RWBY’s future was uncertain. And while we know they are in “early” planning and writing for V10, we have no info on any release or what it will look like (so nothing on concrete about “next year”). “You do seem familiar — like a happy dream I can’t remember” is such a sweet line, so evocative in its simplicity. I really love it. Weiss and Jaune are friends. He’s like 20 years older than her and Weiss is the emotional intelligence of the group. I really dont think there’s anything to read into there (though I do find Weiss thirsting after older guys funny and I hope she gets made fun of for it in the future). She was also the only one left when Jaune had to mercy kill Penny. The instrumental “This Will Be the Day” at the end was such a great touch. Congrats on finishing the RWBY journey (so far)!

Now that we’re at the end, let me fan-theorize for a moment. This whole volume was a pastiche of Alice in Wonderland/through the looking glass. Everything was an adaptation of something from the books. But what’s with the Ascension? That’s nowhere to be found in the original story and it features so heavily in this volume it must be important. But why? My idea: that’s the solution to Salem. She can’t die, but nothing in The Ever After dies. But if they sent her to this world she could leave behind everything and start over. Become something else. And since the Two Brothers came from the Tree, its power should outrank theirs. I suspect it will first be necessary for Ruby to use her silver eyes to purge Salem of the Grimm force she was infused with when she fell in the pools of darkness, but once that’s done I’m pretty sure Ascending is what Monty intended to be Salem’s fate.

After this episode I couldn't help but feel sorry for the cat. He was born into a world where you are reborn each time you break or complete your purpose. The problem being, he is immune to the thing that naturally does it and he can't send himself back to the tree. This means he was physically unable to get over the pain of being betrayed. Once again, The Two Brothers are screwing things up for people.

Ep 9: Ok, before anything, I must give it up for the voice acting in this episode. Barb, Miles, Lindsey, and Robbie specifically absolutely kill it. Robbie is absolutely soaking in his malice right now and it’s amazing. Blake to the cat in episode 4: But [Alyx] learned her lesson in the end, right? Curious Cat: Oh, I’d certainly say so. Why that sneaky little-! It’s so interesting to go back and watch the first half of the volume with all this in mind. Curious really is just speaking in double meanings the entire time. Speaking of, the animation for NeoCat’s movements is so off putting. I love it. We finally got to see Summer! The fact that Lewis was indeed the Lewis Carroll of this world and wrote about his sister, even making her look better than she was. And Jaune was right, that Alyx wasn’t a great person (was also a kid, so you know) but after talking to the tree she felt bad and wanted to fix things. Ep 10: Summer shoulder checked Raven just like Yang did at the end of V5. Like mother like daughter. And what a way to bring Raven back into relevance. Like, when she said “there is no beating Salem” something tells me she actually knew what she was talking about. Raven, what do you know!?!? Give us answers you horribly cryptic woman!! Rosebird (Summer x Raven) is a fun ship for me. I also want to know so much about their history. Also, something fun about the Silver Eyed Warriors we've seen so far, they all fit into the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Ruby as Little Red. Maria is Grandma. The Hound is the Wolf. And Summer is the Huntsman. Her weapon is even an axe. The first time I heard the tune from Red Like Roses start as Ruby was coming back I got full body chills. Now I just get teary eyed. The animation when she comes back, the lighting, the callback to her trailer with her cape in the wind! How dare! And seeing Team RWBY whole and fighting together again?! The emotional catharsis! I cried during the meeting with Somewhat. They were truly special and I’m sad to see them go. “One small kindness, in one small moment, led to such a marvelous transformation.” Excuse me while I cry about that too, probably my favorite line in the show. This volume was everything I wanted. It was so good and CRWBY really knocked it out of the park. I just love this show so much. Oh, sure, I’ve got my complaints. But honestly, this show is my favorite piece of media. There’s so much passion put into it. I love how each volume it feels like CRWBY truly try to push themselves to do better. It actually feels like they love and care about this show so much. It makes me excited for what’s in this show’s future now that we know V10 is coming. Can’t wait to see your reactions to the soundtracks, Chibi, Ice Queendom, the JL movies, and whatever else we can dig up. There was an Epilogue for V9 that they were originally going to include but either didn’t have the budget, the time, or just decided to hold off. There’s also the Fairytale episodes and Beyond shorts. For reading material we have the DC comics, a couple manga, some anthologies with a bunch of fan comics, the After the Fall and Before the Dawn books. There’s still plenty of RWBY content to be had and that’s before you get into any fan stuff. But for now, as far as the main series goes, it’s the wait for V10. And thank you for reacting to this show, Elijah. Again, this show means the world to me, so seeing someone get so passionate and fall in love with RWBY is always such a treat and as always your energy is incredible. Here’s to eventually making it through this hiatus.

Raise your hand if you also cried during episode 10 🖐️ It has been an absolute joy to re-watch this show with you, Elijah. You've reinvigorated my love for RWBY in such a big way by just being so genuine and enthusiastic about it. It was so easy to fall into the trap of listening to the naysayers as these were releasing, but watching them with somebody who has an actual understanding and love for the characters helps show that, no, it WAS written well. Really damn well, in fact. I can't wait to see where the RWBY train takes you - Chibi, soundtrack, JLA, I'll be there for it all.

Originally there was a trailer for RWBY v Justice League Pt1. So you didn't miss anything important. The Animatic and all 4 RWBY Beyond Episodes are short enough that you could react to them in a single video.

Oh, Elijah, if you have not gotten to check them out yet, the two games RWBY: Grim Eclipse, a hack and slash that takes place between Vol.2 and Vol.3 and RWBY: Arrowfell, a Metroidvania style game which takes place during the montage sequence of Vol.7 ep 5 after they get their Hunter license, are both canon to the main RWBY timeline, consider them like side stories or filler arcs that do not contradict the main show. So, if you have not gotten the chance to check them out, I recommend giving them a try, I had to look this up to make sure I wasn't giving wrong info.

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSS omg I have been so excited for you to get to the finale!! The music is one of the best parts of this show and Red Like Roses Part 3 gets me every time!!! I've loved your reactions to RWBY. I don't comment often but I had to for this one. The little This Will be The Day music that plays at the end made me full sob when I first watched the episode and even now as I just finished watching your reaction I'm trying to keep back tears. (Decided to watch this while at work forgetting how much I would cry 😭) RWBY is one of my top shows ever and I was so excited when RT came back and Viz confirmed volume 10. I've been watching this show since my uncle showed me the og trailers when they first came out. Can't wait for the Animatic and Tales Beyond reactions. Yeah that's what I was thinking too, regarding Salem and the Ever After. Especially since finding out via the Director's Commentary that The Ever After was something that Monty attempted to push for as early as Volume 2 but Miles and Kerry couldn't find a way to fit it in there. The reason he pushed it that early was during that time, they didn't even know RWBY would even get another season. I think volume 9 was the perfect way to introduce it.

The song during the credits is one of my absolute favorites. If no one has mentioned it yet, I feel like it's worth mentioning that Jeff Williams did not make the music this volume, instead leaving it to his daughter Casey (who is also the singer). If you were wondering why the music has different vibe this volume, that's why. I think she absolutely nailed it, though.

And this ending is so symbolic ... Ruby Rose always wanted to be a Huntress, just like her mother. Slayer of monsters, and baker of cookies. But in the end, she chose to be herself. Chapter 10 "If you want more RWBY reactions" (translation) "If you want to watch more people suffer..." ...speaking of suffering, we're getting Summer lore! But only a crumb... You want to ship Summer and Raven? Ship away! After all they were ... roommates. ---- Remember that Jinn could only answer _two_ questions when they summoned her in volume six. What if Raven already had the Maiden powers when she and Summer left on this mission? What if they asked the lamp a question? And then went to confront Salem, based on the answer... Speaking of Jinn... I think I know how the girls can help Salem. Jinn gave us the answer in The Lost Fable. Were you paying attention? "A kindred spirit..." ... "a like minded soul..."

So, now my question is, can Salem ascend? I mean, is that the solution? I'll give Raven this, she does seem genuinely concerned that Summer is leaving. Whatever it is the two of them had planned, she seemed worried about Summer leaving the way she did and possibly not coming back. Which is, sadly, what happened. Summer's words are heard, Ruby's weapons glows in red, and the minute she turns the other weapons start to descend. The blacksmith knew already, she'd made her choice. I always felt it wasn't a sure thing whether or not Ruby would come back exactly as herself. I think that's just one option. The blacksmith is just a therapist/guide letting the person who ascends decide their fate. Some, like the herbalist and Little and the Paper Pleasers, need to move onto something else. It's just how change and adaptation works in their world. But the heart rarely forgets, and Somewhat remembers Ruby...somewhat. Boy, do they. Look at their outfit. Ruby's influence is all over it. The little hood, the battle skirt. The belt. Much more than just remembering she is a huntress without being told. So sad to have the regular show reactions be over, but really glad you reacted to them.

Now that you've finished the series, go back and rewatch V6 E3, because the backstory for the brothers adds some really cool context. The Ever After has equivalents for all the Relics (Jabberwock for Destruction, Blacksmith for Creation, the Cat for Knowledge...) but very clearly not for Choice. which could be why The Crown of Choice has got so much extra protections: The guys who made that relic literally didn't understand the concept and may have gone... overboard. This also explains why the gods SAY they want humans to have choice, then blow a gasket when that choice is something they don't like.

Just wanted to let you know that your reactions revitalized RWBY for me. I stopped watching during Volume 7 when real life kinda got in the way. I remember hearing that Yang and Blake finally became canon, and I think next day saw your reaction to V5C7+8 recommended to me. Watching that reaction and how much you liked the show, how you were picking up the trail of crumbs Bumblby was leaving, and how you seemed to really get what the team was trying to communicate, really motivated me to finally finish the show and watch all of your reactions to the show. Then as you got to Volume 6, I got even more excited and opted to support a Patreon for the first time. So thank you for picking up RWBY and enjoying it. The journey really gave me a sense of healing and recovery that I didn't know I needed. Looking forward to all the additional RWBY stuff you decide to make videos about.

Glad to have you back! And so we finally reach the finale and, while I love it and the volume as a whole...it brings up the second major reason I hate Neo. And why I think the writers dropped a ball a bit. Like...She's been an antagonist since the book. She killed at least one guy without caring, and enabled Roman to do more crime. They then join Cinder and help her take down Beacon, and she killed an entire crew of an Atlesian airship before freeing Roman, who then used it to shoot down another that crashed into a third. She almost killed Yang twice without hesitation and abused Ruby ( a minor!) physically and mentally, and pushed her to self-delete. If this had been on Remnant, Ruby would've been gone permanently. All of this with a smile on her face, no regrets. And we're supposed to feel sorry for her here? Because she misses Roman? Her having bad parents doesn't excuse any of her actions and yet people think she's deserving of a redemption when she has done literally nothing to earn it. But because she's "hot" she gives a free pass. Not even a slap on the wrist; not even Yang getting to settle the score. Just blind acceptance and Ruby being a bit out of character with the whole "I hope she'll be alright". I dearly hope she doesn't return. If she returns and Ruby, Yang, and Blake especially go "oh yeah, forgive and forget that you almost murdered Yang twice and abused Ruby to the point of self-deleting, and everything you've done as an antagonist since your first appearance in V2, we totally trust you and accept you into our friend circle, nothing but smiles all around!" I'm gonna assume the writers were bribed. Ilia wasn't too far gone and needed the right person to act for her redemption. Emerald showed signs of remorse as early as V3 with how horrible she thought the Grimm invasion was. Hazel died for his. Neo? Zero. Nada. Nothing. And yes I've read the damn book, still doesn't make me feel any sympathy considering what she's done since. If Neo's backstory is "deserving of a redemption" but Cinder's isn't, I'm gonna call out hypocrisy. Cinder didn't even get to have a childhood. "Neo has the best potential so give it to her please!" Again, she hasn't done anything to deserve it. Pity is far from enough. "She has goodness in her!" Since when? It has never been displayed in the show proper. Ugh. I really don't like how negative my comments have been lately and I'm sorry, but I do have issues with this and need it out of my system. Maybe I'll even delete the comment later, I dunno. And Elijah, if you're reading this, know that despite my negativity I'm not upset that you like Neo. But please understand that what you feel about Cinder and Viren (Dragon Prince) combined is exactly how I feel about Neo. And I simply don't understand how people like/defend her when she is just as bad as Cinder. On another note, I doubt we'll get V10 next year. Last we heard they were early in writing. So unfortunately the wait will be longer.

This destroyed me in the best way. Can’t wait for the epilogue/beyond reactions. Neo is my favorite character and being fully validated by the cat yelling ‘these regrets’ as Neo thinks of Ruby and Cinder. I spent so much of V8 hoping against hope that she would turn on Cinder, because it truly is *her fault* Roman is gone. He said himself ‘It’s not what I have to gain, it’s that I can’t afford to lose’ I think Roman didn’t wanna get involved with her initially because he knew she’d be WAY more trouble than him and Neo were looking for, and the same way Cinder threatened Adam into compliance after getting half the maiden power, told him either he helps or he watches Neo die. Roman would’ve tapped the fuck out waaaay early into their plans otherwise. She was initially on the right track. But she was so hurt and raw and alone, Cinder manipulated Neo into being her little follower. Her heartbreak when Cinder betrays her on the bridge is actually kind of the worst 😭 I want to see her and Ruby make amends. (to be clear tho; under no circumstance do i consider Neo or Roman to be good people lmfao they both love the chaos and being Baddies, but still. thems me kids so they did No Wrong Ever)

I love seeing new fans going through this journey and I loved seeing you throughout it. I shared RWBY with my girlfriend a few years ago and she also loved it, so she's been more than happy to see your and Mosco's journey as well ( she's still catching up ). lol right? Everything she has done since v2 and even in the book, and somehow people think she's redeemable! I mean, Elijah even though Blake was gonna go after Cinder after Yang fell, and was shocked when Blake attacked Neo instead xD

"Initially on the right track" she killed a guy in the book and joined Roman, a criminal, and enabled him in murder and theft even before Cinder showed up. We don't know if Roman was forced, but he certainly didn't seem to mind following along with the plans. Same with Neo. Neo has done nothing BUT wrong. And abusing a minor both physically and mentally to the point of self-deleting? That's a threshold of no return. I can't see how Ruby or Yang especially could forgive, forget, and trust her if she comes back. Like "Yeah Neo, you almost killed my sister twice and did horrible things to me, and I'm only here because my self-deleting happened to take place in the E.A, but let's be friends now."

Raven couldn't have asked the lamp a question, that implies she somehow already made it to the vault with Leo's help and asked the lamp, then left it there, only to return later and seem shocked to see the door opens. It was Ozpin, long ago, that's the implication.

The last line of Dialogue is Ruby saying "Thank you" while looking into the camera. We collectively agreed that this was CRWBY's way of thanking the audience, as the future of Roosterteeth and RWBY was uncertain at this point.

I fully believe whatever Raven saw the night she left with Summer is what scared her so badly she became the incredibly jaded hopeless version of Raven we see in v5. Also def recommend rewatching her scenes from v5 especially the conversation in the vault with Yang. The new context we have from v9 puts that conversation in a totally different light Also no not weird for shipping raven and summer. Us rosebird and str-crossed shippers were THRIVING when this came out lol

I do think this is Neo’s send off, however. It was a bit too gentle for my tastes, but I think the writers know she’s got fans so this was the best middle ground. So it sort of feels like an”end” without killing her. Maybe she’ll show up towards the end of the show for the final Big Bad fight, but I really dont see a redemption arc nor would it feel earned from what we’ve seen. She basically gets to shed herself - that’s not redemption but replacement without reckoning. She literally just tormented and bullied a teenager into erasing herself and hasn’t done anything for “good” at all. Like Adam, a tragic backstory provides some context, but like Adam, she was consumed by spite and hate. Revenge feeling empty and being lonely isnt really punishment — and now she gets the opportunity to erase those memories and regrets if she wants, rather than live with them. Meh. Not my favorite part of an otherwise amazing finale.

The fact that she made the choice to change proves that Neo is Redeemable imo. She got everything she thought she wanted realised she had nothing left to live for and then made the choice to take a new path. Cinder craves power the problem with craving power is that there will never be enough power to satisfy her. She wouldnt take that choice if it was offered to her.

Like, yeah, I understand that Elijah loves Neo's design, but she definitely ignores a lot of what Neo has done in favour of fawning over her. Neo kicks a dying man in the face and that didn't bother her; she thought Blake was gonna go after Cinder in V8 and is shocked to see her go after Neo. And "there's goodness in her" like...what? Where was it when she abused Ruby? Where was it when she gleefully almost killed Yang twice? Like you said, if she becomes someone new and loses her memories, it's just a cheap copout. She has done nothing to earn a redemption and yet she seemingly gets one without a slap on the wrist. I love V9 and the finale is beautiful, but the writers definitely dropped the ball regarding Neo. At least let Yang beat her to a bloody pulp.

Okay you need to chill lol I meant ‘initially on the right track’ as in getting revenge on Cinder for Roman’s death. I very clearly mentioned at the end of the post she’s A Villain, she relishes in being bad. I don’t want her redeemed. But she would’ve been content just fucking around doing petty crime with Roman for the rest of her life if not for Cinder looping Roman in on the plans. I love that they’re family, that they care that deeply for one another but that doesn’t mean either of them is a good person, and I never suggested that.

Finally have found someone who thinks the same way! Most forgave Neo for everything she had done, even though in last episodes everyone was literally horrified by the tortures she put Ruby through and how she crushed Little. And that's not even all she's done. Don't get me wrong, I love Neo as a character, but nobody seems to care about the Cat at all. But the show itself tells us and has shown us multiple times that the Cat isn't just evil or something, certain circumstances led them to become the way they are. I just don't think it's right to ignore those details. I'm not saying that what they did was okay. Yet so many reactors were glad the Cat died in the end. The way I see it – they were put at such a disadvantage (thanks to those gods...) and no one could ever help them. It's just so sad and unfair.

We're not sure which Oz asked those questions, but I'm betting it was over a century ago, and before he sealed them away. So who asked the first question in the last century? Since watching this way back when the big send-offs from this finale were of the greatest importance at least to me. 1) What will Neo become and how will she be changed by the Tree/Blacksmith (ie God)/Herself? Will she remain in the Ever After perhaps with Little/Juniper or will they all save the day when they are needed most? After all, all three of them have ties to Ruby and Jaune. 2) How will RWBY support Ruby in the future so she doesn't lose hope, become overwhelmed, or end up where she has been since Volume 7? 3) Where did Summer and Raven go? Qrow and Ozpin really didn't seem to know what happened to Summer. Who else could have had a bond to Raven to create a portal? What if her parents were still alive or someone else she cared about? I suspect Summer IS alive and is protecting the remaining relics including the Crown of Choice from Beacon and that Ozpin simply kept that secret to his grave. We do know it was MEANT to be long term given what Raven said about leaving the cutiepies back at home. This was something she wasn't coming back from any time soon. 4) Most importantly, when that final portal was opened and the Blacksmith said I'm sending you when you are needed most, I half suspected - for a moment of hope - they were going to show up at the tower of Beacon to save Pyrhha. Alas, those hopes were dashed. 5) What of Ren and Nora? I was saddened they weren't a part of Volume 9 being my favorite characters. I really hope you watch the Animatics as it was meant for Renora to be a part of the last two episodes that weren't made. 6) Thank you for making it through the whole series. I've supported you for so long and will continue to do so given the magnitude of your reactions. Some give up on series, but I love how attached and invested you became to these characters. - Celly

But I am Not going to miss yelling about the finale of my favorite volume: - Spends last reaction yelling about Neo being a bitch. Starts current reaction with Neo's weapon. - All of this making me ache for more RWBY merch. Especially of Team RWBY in their Atlas outfits. There's not enough/not much that's easily accessible. - I hope by animatics you mean you're including the bonus animatic and the shorts. Especially the former because oh my god it makes me cry. - Arryn is so so sweet. I got a signed print from her awhile back and she was so kind about it. I also contributed to her album and she wrote me an adorable message that I still have saved. - Summer's voice actually started off the volume. She specifically said: "This is the story of a girl, who had a lot of problems..." - I personally don't want Whiteknight, as I'm a Whiterose bitch, but I wouldn't be surprised if they go through with it. I know Kara really likes it. - It kind of baffles me that even with V9 complete people still wildly misinterpret the point of the tree/ascension and the themes of the volume. Was it perfectly executed? No. But it becomes quite obvious that the theme is change and change can be rightfully fucking terrifying. It can even make someone worse (i.e., the Red King), but it's also the only way someone can get better. You may not recognize the person who comes out the other side, and hell they might not even recognize you, but that doesn't inherently mean you've lost them. Something something growth often feels like loss. - Miles' improvement as a performer has been some of the most satisfying. He's given so much depth to Jaune's performance over the years especially in this volume. But that's one of the best parts about RWBY. It started off so humble as a project made by a bunch of friends so you get to see those same people improve live. - Yang has always hid so much of herself and struggled to talk, so seeing Blake so perfectly complement her and know exactly what she needs makes me so happy. They don't even need words half the time, she knows how Yang is feeling and Blake knows how Yang is feeling. That's always been their dynamic and it's captivated me since the very beginning. - "You've always been the worst of the bunch" <--- This genuinely makes me laugh every time. I love Weiss' snark and whenever people recognize it. - I have Roman Holiday sitting on my shelf and need to read it, but my own Neo obsessed friend has given me the bullet points. So I know what you mean. - The Brothers are indeed based in part on the Greek and Roman gods. Hence why they're fucking vindictive pricks. - I mean, Lewis' name is a reference to Lewis Carroll. So it's kind of fitting that he's the one who wrote the story in the end. - God, the way she describes depression makes me cry on the spot. Hell, I'm trying to not cry right now hearing it again. Moments like these are what made me fall in love with RWBY so hard, especially Volume 9. I remember being like her and saying these exact kind of words. I've got more to say on Ruby's mental health but I'm actually saving that for the second Justice League film. - Brain rewiring upon hearing "And how would you measure enough?" because wow Blacksmith you're right. How does one define that? What does it reflect once we do? The crew weren't joking when they compared the Blacksmith to a therapist. - Casey absolutely KILLED it this volume. The tracks are all so varied and draw from so many different styles but she nails it every time. - The same thing happened to me actually. My last big hyperfixation was She-Ra. I loved it so much, was practically there since day one, and even got the fail safe symbol tattooed on my wrist. But I had to move on eventually and while I enjoyed a couple things over the years none of them capture me in the same way until RWBY. I've been hyperfixated on it for over two damn years straight now because of it. It's absolutely changed my life for the better and I'm grateful for it every single day. - Daughters looking like a copy of their mothers represent. I look way too much like mine. - Kind of funny that after all these volumes of Ruby idolizing Summer as this perfect mother and hero we finally get to meet her and Summer immediately lies lmao. Just really hammering home that there are no perfect heroes in this story. - My first watch through RWBY I didn't like Raven that much and thought she was a bitch, but once I got to this scene it immediately clicked for me that "OH THAT'S WHY YOU'RE LIKE THAT." Like THIS is why you gave up on Ozpin's mission? THIS is why you're so fucking afraid of Salem? WHAT DID YOU SEE??? - Give in to Rosebird. You're not alone. - Before now it was always framed that Raven left Yang immediately, but here she is saying, "It's... you're better at that life. Better than I was." Like, what do you mean was? Did you actually try to be a mom? Hello??? - Ruby really needed to see this. Like desperately. She needed this idealized version of Summer to be shattered. Otherwise I don't think she would've let go of the guilt of not living up to her image. - I know Cinder is just Like That but it's really funny that despite hating the bitch Neo still visualizes Cinder in a cunty pose. Even in the painting in her little house she had Cinder standing all domineering and sexy. - I kept telling myself I wouldn't cry but fuck that hearing the Red Like Roses motif and lyrics has me in tears. It's so full circle. - The song is obviously a homage to the original but so are the visuals of Ruby directly versus the cat. Look at it shot by shot and you can see her doing similar moves to the Red Trailer. Not to mention that bright white opening looking like it too. - It's really fitting that they have Ruby let Neo take the chance to change herself for the better. If anyone had the reason to stop her, it was Ruby, but she let her go. But RWBY has always been one for giving people second chances and seeing the best in them. It's just up to Neo now to decide the next chapter of her story. I look forward to seeing it. - The cat is a bitch, but I can't blame them for becoming the way they are. Their design was flawed from the very beginning. A creature that gives its heart away to help other people? But with nothing to heal their own? That was bound to end up backfiring eventually. - Jaune did say back in V4 that he's more of a "warrior's wolftail" kind of guy. Guess he finally got to live that. - This instrumental is a slowed version of the first volume's opening!!! This Will Be The Day, baby!!! - Ahhhhh the way Ruby looks at the camera and says "Thank you." You just know that it was for the audience just as much as it was the Blacksmith. - I will say, I don't think people appreciate enough that V9 really explores the idea of these characters almost trying to live up to their fairy tale origins and subsequently follow an in-universe fairy tale. Only for it to not work out for them and the story they were using to guide them somewhere not actually being true in the first place, just the way someone wished the story went. It's very meta and arguably been in place since early on in the series, this volume just got to amp up the fantasy so hard that it became more on the nose. - Though I do recognize that the volume was far from perfectly executed. Budget slashing and complications made getting the damn thing out in any form a fight, but I love what they managed to do with the time they had. I just wish people would keep these troubles in mind and not take things in such bad faith.

My theory is that Oscar is going to die protecting Ruby in the big final battle, and in her rage and grief she's going to silver eyes Salem so hard that it de-Grimms her, allowing Oz's soul to merge with hers. After all, Jinn called him her "kindred spirit' and the god of life said Oz would always merge with a "like minded soul" ... maybe that was the plan all along. But Ascension could work, too... although getting her to willingly enter into it would be a challenge...

Welcome to the Volume 10 waiting room! ❤️ Now that we have official confirmation that Viz Media is actively working on continuing the show, we all changed from being anxious for the show’s future to eagerly awaiting any updates! I understand how you feel about Neo, I just think that since she tortured Ruby into doing something that to their knowledge had a 50/50 of erasing her from existence, she is going to need to improve and change a LOT before anyone besides Ruby can give her any chances. I love that you still always comment on the Bumblebee moments, because most other reactors (understandably) are too focused on everything happening with Ruby to even register them. I am so glad I finally get to say this: THERAPY TREE!!!! When people rewatch the earlier Volumes, many of us realize that Ruby was showing signs of extreme distress and mental struggles ever since Volume 3 Chapter 9, but it also becomes clear that she was hiding/avoiding her struggles at every possible moment. I am very excited to see your reactions and thoughts about the Volume soundtracks! For the smoothest experience I suggest talking to a RWBY fan that you feel confident in about if there is a playlist of lyric videos that would work best. The RWBY fandom is incredibly talented and creative, so it is definitely worth looking into fan lyric videos, it is just very helpful to have someone with a touch of experience guide you a little bit. For extra RWBY content during the wait, I can personally recommend a specific video and a channel. The channel I would highly recommend is actually the official RWBY YouTube channel, not only for updates, but also because they have done multiple fun skits/activities and posted them on there so that the fans can still enjoy interacting with them. The specific video I would suggest is a recording of a RWBY panel where a fan in a Qrow cosplay asks a rather hilarious question to the writers and Barbra instantly grabbed her mic, whipped her head toward the writers and asked “Well?” I will try and find it and either put the link in a reply to this comment or just reply with the exact name of the video.

This series is my favorite of all time, both because of how incredibly heartfelt it is and because I found it during the time when my depression was at its worst. Seeing Ruby herself struggle and survive her own depression and suicidality is bittersweet no matter how many times I rewatch it. No judgment on Summer and Raven. The fandom basically accepts STRQ as poly. Plus, Yang did the same shoulder bump to Raven in volume 5. Yang may have gotten her smile from Raven, but she got her sass from Summer. XD And fun fact, Jaune was originally supposed to stay old, but they thought he had been through enough, so they made him young again, but with some white streaks to show what he did experience. In addition, the reason Neo is going through ascension is because CRWBY thought Neo was irredeemable after what she did to Ruby, so they thought ascension was the only chance she had to become better. I have been so excited about this reaction and you do not disappoint. I won’t lie, I am always emotional about the end of the season. I’ve already seen people point it out but the foreshadowing when it comes to the blacksmith! One thing I do wanna point out- we obviously see the blacksmith carves out the models of the creations from the tree- and what is that on their bench? A brand new, pink stone. A lot of fans have taken it as a nod that Neo will be coming back with a new attitude after her time of reflection. I am so glad you already knew about the animatic episode and I can’t wait to see that reaction. Now, we all wait until volume 10 comes out!

what i find so emotional about this final episode is that it was the very last thing the 3D animation team worked on before RT was shut down, and the future of the show was very much uncertain. So the choice of the final spoken words to be "Thank you" while staring directly at the camera is especially poignant. I'm happy Jaune was able to be back to how he was (though the white hair streak of stress must stay and I get it) with him being stuck there for years with a forced role to play along with suicidal paper people after he had to assist with a friends suicide, he has been through a lot and too much and I hope he does get together with Weiss because I personally do ship them a lot and I think he deserves to be happy. Same goes for Ruby and the burdens she had to carry. I'm happy she had this development, I'm happy CRWBY went this route for her to find herself. The way they went about is was 100% realistic and happy they didn't sugarcoat some areas. With little gone she had no hope left, and now with somewhat appearing she is now somewhat hopeful for the future. I may get heat for this but...........I can forgive Salem easier than I can Neo because what she did was crossing over waaayyy too many red lines to get what she wanted and forced Ruby to off herself. I know Neo went through a lot when she was younger as well but for what she did in my eyes can't be forgiven (partly why I like her as a villain because she made sure to uphold her eye for an eye deal). I do see her coming back as something better and maybe not now but maybe in the future accept her even after everything but right now........I think it's for the best Ruby didn't go to Neo after she took care of the cat. I can't wait for what adventures comes next for our heroes :) Also the 2 main songs you heard: The 1st one was "Quiet" and the second one is "Guide My Way/Red Like Roses Part III" And I adore both of them a lot <3 p.s Congrats on both Arryn and Barbara catching your reactions that is something to wear as a huge badge of honor.

It makes me tear up to see that when Somewhat was made, they were so inspired by what Ruby meant to Little. They have her cape, belt, gloves, even a little spiky hair. Also, it’s not fully confirmed, but we have to assume when the cat ‘killed’ Alyx, she became the Blacksmith who crafts the new forms for other Afterans, helping make everyone else better after how much she did wrong.

I'm so happy to see you finally get to this episode. When I first watched RWBY I had the same thoughts on the gods. Now that we really know the gods whole dualism thing is nonsense, I really just want to see the gang bring all the relics together and the gods show up like "time to judge humanity" and instead Ruby is just there like "no no, I spoke to your mom and we're really disappointed how you've treated Salem"

Well, maybe it was Summer who asked the question. From that scene, it’s very clear that whatever they are doing is Summer’s idea, and we know that at least Summer confronted Salem. So I don’t think she would take the relic with her if she was planning on going against Salem. To me, this is what happened: Summer and the Spring Maiden asked Jinn the missing question Summer, Raven, and the SM planned to attack Salem after getting whatever information they received, and then the 9x10 flashback happens They attack Salem and give her the scars she has, but Summer falls into a pool of Grimm and begins to turn into a Hound-like creature Raven escapes with a very injured SM, and she either passes the powers to Raven or to a loved one, Raven eventually finds that loved one, and kills her “out of mercy,” like she tells Yang in Volume 5 That’s my timeline, I know it’s not perfect but I think it works well enough

THIS. that shot, that voiceline, it always hits me so hard. we didn't know if RWBY would come back to us at all. i remember how emotional i got because it was a moment that felt like as beautiful of a farewell as we could've gotten under the circumstances. even the background colours of the portal, from a show where colour is so significant, representing the colour and life and joy it brought to the fndm and the lives of the people who worked on it, it is indeed incredibly poignant.

I feel you though, I need the story to continue so badly, as do we all... lot to say here so let's go! now that you've made it to the end, I think you can tell that v9 was one big therapy volume, especially for Ruby - and the Tree/Blacksmith was the therapist she needed. also Jaune needed it. Weiss, Blake and Yang had already grown and evolved enough that they weren't in as dire need for ascension, just a breather from the stress back on Remnant. and of course, for the Bees to become officially GAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! it truly is beautiful how they handled Ruby's ascension... and I do hope that on future rewatches, you can see all the little things building up to this moment. because yes, Ruby always wanted to be a hero and she may have been a hero, but you should recognize by now that being The Hero - the one who always knows what to do, always wins the fight, always has everyone looking to them for the answers - it freaking sucks, especially in Remnant. which is why the story has emphasized from the start the importance of TEAMS and TOGETHERNESS. no one can do it alone, and this is a reason why several characters end up failing at times: Pyrrha and her martyr complex (along with everyone's expectations that doomed her); Cinder learning from a young age to not count on anyone, that having power over others is all that matters; Ironwood's hero complex that had him convinced only he could save Remnant... also I look forward to your reaction to the v9 epilogue animatic as well as the Beyond shorts. those are absolutely mandatory to watch. Summer and Raven... aka ROSEBIRD! it's okay, you should totally ship ROSEBIRD. there are plenty of ROSEBIRD fans out there, and it's a popular belief that STRQ is a poly team. I mean, Tai literally had a kid with Raven AND with Summer, and people love to imagine Tai and Qrow also have history (there's a Chibi skit that makes a joke of it btw). so please, go ahead and ship Summer and Raven; we love to see it. there really are so many questions about that flashback... but it does promise we will get more Raven in the future. and for the record? I also believe that Summer is not dead... I follow a particular theory about that but won't say for now >.> oh, back to the Blacksmith and therapy Tree for a moment... obviously Ruby seriously needed that moment to hear that she is enough. she's been carrying the burden of expectations - the daughter of Summer Rose, who clearly had a lot on her shoulders too - and her ambition to be like a hero in a fairy tale took her down a path far darker than she could have dreamed. being a huntress is not just dangerous; it is lethal, as the show has made clear over the volumes. add to that fighting an immortal witch who was screwed over by callous gods, and you can see why Ruby broke the way she did. she wasn't good enough to be The Hero of her dreams, and that's okay! she can't do it all by herself, and she never should have been put in that position. as for Jaune, it's not as obvious but his lesson is that he is not A Hero either. think back to v1... he tells Pyrrha that he wants to be the hero, not a damsel in distress. he is a team leader but he leads by example. this is not his story; he is a supporting character to Team RWBY. he had to learn that his role in the story is to be the maiden, the damsel, the one who is secondary to the Heroes but still serves a vital function in supporting them. also had to learn to accept the losses he has endured and not let those hold him back.

/part 2 the reveal that the gods/Brothers actually came from the Ever After... what a reveal! really upends soooo much of what we take for granted in this story, but also a good indicator for how things might go in the end. first of all, it undermines the image in The Lost Fable that these Brothers are all-powerful gods... NOPE! they are not the creators of the universe after all; just petty beings of great power with serious god complexes, pun fully intended. important to note that the door in the Tree is open so that the Brothers might one day return, so what does that mean for our heroes? second, note what the Blacksmith says about their evolution: the Brothers first learned Destruction, then Creation, but look what happened in the long run. yellow brother acts like creation is HIS domain and gets all haughty about 'balance', while purple brother doesn't want to punish the creations for their mistakes and gets lumped with destruction ergo 'bad stuff'. and which brother is the one to send Ozma back with a divine mandate??? third, when the Blacksmith talks about balance, they specifically say that balance cannot be restored by "force" or "manipulation" - this is a direct nod to Salem and Ozpin (and Ironwood to a lesser extent), or in other words, a reminder that the adults in the show really don't have what it takes to fix this world. then you see Team RWBY colors and taking the form of flowers, coupled with balance requiring LOVE and the PATIENCE to see things through to the end. that is the key. LOVE is the answer, and that has got to be essential for how these girls will save their world. I also came to love Neo a lot by the time the show reached the end (for now!), so I feel you in hoping she will come back... hopefully changing herself for the better! it's hard to know how that could happen considering her lack of attachments and how it would even work narratively. there have been some accusations of Neo being brought back in v6 for "fan service" which I find rather unfair, but it's not hard to see why. she turned into a compelling character, much deeper than one would expect from Beacon Days, and it would be great to see her have a turnaround. joining the heroes is another matter, but if she did, what a mashup that would be. your conviction that WhiteKnight is going to happen is making me laugh. I'm not a fan myself but I can't blame you one bit for having that belief XD looking forward to your reactions to the music/soundtracks! the songs are amazing and really tell so much story or add to the story, plus it's fun picking up themes and realizing where they appear in the show. for example, notice the theme that plays when Ruby comes out of the portal and we see them outside Vacuo... 'This Will Be The Day' :') speaking of that shot, do take note of all those airships in the sky over Vacuo... better explained in the epilogue animatic.

The thing is, Qrow being Ruby's dad has been debunked on MULTIPLE occasions over the years by Miles, Kerry and others. Heck, Monty himself was the FIRST to debunk it back when Volume 2 was first airing. Also, fun fact; the official statements have always been simply that Qrow ISN'T Ruby's dad, and that Ruby and Yang are half-sisters. Which would just so happen to still line up by Raven turning out to be Ruby's 'dad' XD

The final episode was so bittersweet. It came at a time of uncertainty with Rooster Teeth's future. We were made aware that the company was no longer going to exist, and V9 became a love letter to the fans. The whole volume taught and reminded us that we are enough as we are, and we are loved by so many. I was bawling my eyes out when Ruby's triumphant return happened. It was then I understood the message CRWBY embedded in it, and it was absolutely heartbreaking that this was possibly the end of the road for the show. For Ruby to come back with her resolve as she did was inspiring, and continued to provide hope to us all. The final line Ruby speaks, her "Thank You" was directed to the fans who made this show possible. Just like you Elijah, RWBY has captured my heart in a way very few other shows or interests do. It's sad to say goodbye for now, but at least we have the hopes of V10 being a reality that'll come to fruition in time. Until then, enjoy what you have next to look forward to in the RWBY verse!

In a way, Salem and the Cat suffered the same curse - immortal but abandoned by their makers and without hope of rest or redemption (except, in Salem's case, understanding the "balance" the Brothers themselves failed to grasp). I suspect there's something in that which may play into the end of Salem's role in the story. What if a moment of acceptance (enabled by silver eyes? Maybe even two pairs of them if Summer gets a return?) allowed Salem to "ascend"? But in my mind, the larger threat in the story is the Brothers, whose looming judgment continues regardless of Salem. It may be that the show will end with peace in Remnant being an ongoing struggle, but I'd prefer if the Brothers could somehow be persuaded by Team RWBY's example and/or the Tree's invitation to return to the Ever After and let the human-and-faunus world be. Anyway, I like to dream big when it comes to story endings. But I'm not married to these ideas. I trust these writers to deliver something satisfying in any case, and it's likely the end was decided way back before a single episode was written. But I'm pretty certain the Ever After wasn't just a detour but that the seeds of the show's resolution are planted here.

On Raven & Summer, I'm hoping to see two conversations: with Qrow, as he's learned Raven wasn't particularly wrong about Oz, and with Ruby/Yang, as Raven was part of Summer's secret mission. I gather from Raven's hesitancy and Summer's assurances that it was Summer's idea and she hunted Raven down for her assistance. Also, Summer's "trust me" reminds me of Ruby's "I need you to trust me" to Qrow during the v6 mech fight. At the time I thought those might have been Summer's last words to Qrow. And when Qrow said "She's not coming, Tai," in v4, that may have originally been referring to Summer rather than Raven. I'd hate to think Qrow has been hiding something so big from Ruby, but he kept Raven's fate a secret from Yang until v3, so I suppose it can't be ruled out.

I dont think Qrow knows what happened to Summer because in V7 he talks about how Summer’s disappearance was a “Summer secret” and that Oz was just as in the dark as he was. Of course, Qrow could have been lying there, but he seemed too genuine / he was being generally forthcoming in that scene. So Raven’s portal must have gone to someone else - maybe someone we dont know yet or don’t realize Raven has a bond with.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching your reactions and I’m excited to see more of the other RWBY content. My theory on Raven is that whatever her and summer were doing on that last mission, it went wrong. Perhaps Salem was turning Summer into a hound like Grimm, I don’t know, but it went wrong and summer asked Raven to kill her. I know that’s a dark idea, but hey, look at the themes in volume 8 and 9. Raven reluctantly agreed and then flees, however now she is living with that guilt. In volume 5 she tells Yang, “you don’t know me, you don’t know what I’ve been through, the choices I’ve had to make.” Imagine if she was alluding to the fact she was put in an impossible position not unlike Jaune with Penny. And Raven was the one that killed Summer Rose. Raven then distanced herself from her family even more so, because on top of her insecurities about being a parent, how could she ever tell them that she had taken away the one woman who was there for Yang and Ruby and Tai in a way that; she herself felt she never could be. Raven is all about putting on a front with people, acting strong, but it’s interesting how when she is shouting at Yang about “staring death in the face” talking about how she survived, “being strong enough to do what others won’t” and she starts breaking down as she is saying it, the mask slips because she knows that she isn’t strong, but also perhaps she is reliving the things she has done to survive. Might be a bit of a crackpot theory, but it’s fun to theorise! Needless to say, I can’t wait till we get the answers. But in the immortal words of Penny, “It seems we will have to wait!”

Welcome to the waiting crew. *patpats* I get the not wanting to let it go, it's pretty much why I'm finding reactors to RWBY. :p There's the Storyboard Animatic, RWBY Beyond (what people are probably talking about 'Animatics', 4 shorts roughly between 9 and 10.) RWBY Chibi (a bunch of short, fluffy fun hijinks that, coincidentally I'm sure, was released after Volume 3) and Ice Queendom (a much more 'anime' take of Volume 1 with a new, unique, story in it) to pair with the soundtracks. (Speaking of, soundtracks and Neo... Volume 6, 'One Thing' you just might enjoy it. ;) ) Juane is young again, but he is marked. There were several streaks of white in his blonde despite being '18-19'(ish?) once more. I'm still holding out for White Rose, but White Knight isn't truly a bad choice.... Summer x Raven? Well... there is the semi-crack theory that Tai x Raven x Summer was a thing and it was just that Raven got pregnant first. It, and a specific RWBY Chibi episode, lead to Whole Team Tai :p Still, storytelling trope remains in effect. We haven't seen Summer's body. Funny little story, when Volume 9 was just about to be released, we in the FNDM knew that it was going to be in 'another world'. I had thought, 'oh... they could meet an alternate version of Summer here!' Instead, we got actual Summer, sort of.

I dont think Alex died. She hoped to repair what she had broken in the Ever After, and I think, to do so, she became The Blacksmith. That's why they had her dagger. She became the Avatar of the Tree, and she helped the others find what they wanted to become.

My headcanon is that Tai was with all three of his teammates, Summer and Raven were with Tai and each other, and that Qrow loved Summer but not in a romantic way, but more like a QPR.

I know that is a pretty popular theory within the fandom, one that is bolstered by the Blacksmith saying she had been waiting a long time for Jaune to enter the tree. Not too mention why the tree stepped in to help him when he fell during the fight with the cat.

First off you are not alone in shipping Raven and Summer LOL, it's actually very popular silly headcanon that the STRQ were actually a big polycule back in the day(hence why it never seemed weird that Tai would end up marrying both the women on his team) As for volume 10 as it currently stands it is in pre-production but we do have a concept art showing the girls in new outfits for the Vacuo arc. There's also an official animatic narrated by Qrow which details what has been happening in Vacuo since the fall of Atlas, I think you would be fine to watch it as other reactors. Currently the closest thing we have to Volume 10 is part 2 of the RWBY/Justice League crossover which takes place once the girls get to Vacuo and references Ruby's arc in volume 9.

The epilogue isn't canon but the RWBY Beyond eps are. According to Eddy and Kerry, the Epilogue is the one that would be reworked into V10. While the Beyond eps are what happened during and post Ever After.

Oh wait no....just went back to look it up in another source. So the Japanese Blu-Rays is the official Second source and the "World of RWBY Official Companion guide" that came out in 2019. The official description is "Raven has one of the most complex backstories of any RWBY character. She is Yang’s mother, Taiyang’s estranged wife." So Summer is the second wife

YES!! You did it! You reached the end!... for now! Something I always feel, to do with this Volume: It's true Vol 10 is now being made, but there was a long period where we weren't sure RWBY would be continuing at all. Rooster Teeth got axed in such an abrupt way, no warning to anyone, a lot of people thought... maybe that's it. Maybe that's the end. There was no guarantee it would survive. I've seen livestreams of CRWBY trying not to cry, of Kerry saying he would fight for the chance to continue this story however he could. But even before that I think RWBY was struggling for funds. They definitely meant to have Vol 9 be longer, and they had to cut stuff. I don't know the details, I came to it late myself. But what I mean is, I personally think, when they were making Vol 9... CRWBY weren't sure if the show was going to make it. It might be their swan song. And I think that makes this Volume even more beautiful. Especially the end credit song of this Volume, 'The Edge'. It just... I won't spoil the lyrics here, but it just... It's beautiful. It will never not do things to my emotions. And then the fact that THIS is the point where RWBY was killed, and now is coming BACK, in a different way but still here... it ties in so well with all the themes of rebirth! Can CRWBY see the future? How did they do that! The show wasn't axed, it just ascended into a different company. Anyway, welcome to the wait. I'm sure it'll pass eventually, and we'll all still be here together when it does!

Regarding Raven, Summer, and what happened: I absolutely don't have the ultra-RWBY fan knowledge to know if this is true or to have any special insight, but my guess for a long time has been that on whatever mission they were going on, Summer and Raven either got ambushed by or otherwise stumbled into Salem herself. I think they managed to kill Salem, maybe even several times over, only to see her keep coming back and keep coming after them. Eventually they got captured and Raven got desperate enough that she left Summer behind to die (or at least believes Raven believes that she did), possibly in a situation where a typical hero or main character would have insisted on trying to save Summer. A real "animal chews their own leg off to escape a trap" sort of situation. I think that's when Raven totally abandoned Ozpin (she may have seemed to have done so before this point, but still been working for or at least with him in secret), and I think her hard-edged cynicism is partially a result of being jaded by seeing Salem's apparent immortality and being undefeatable, partially a result of trying to fight off guilt over Summer's fate that is threatening to eat her up from the inside. The encounter with Salem also absolutely put the fear of god in her; any time Salem comes up Raven reacts from the trauma of what happened to her and what she experienced, and it overwhelms her.

Not only is Ruby's theme making its appearance again with one of the lyrics, but it is part 3 of Red Like Roses. Red Like Roses part 1 and 2 were in volume 1! That's a long time! One of my favorite musical aspects of the finale is that background song playing when they're going through the portal back to Remnant is This Will Be The Day, the first opening.

The scene that starts episode 10 hurts every time I see it. Though I love learning more about Team STRQ. I don’t know if you caught it, but Summer roughly brushing into Raven as she walks past is a callback to when Yang does that as she’s going into the Spring Maiden vault. I think Yang shares a lot with the mother who raised her more than the mother who left her. I have a strong feeling we’ll be seeing more parallels going forward as we might get more answers about Summer in future volumes. One that would hurt my heart but also feel validated by is if we get an exchange between Summer and Raven repeating the “you don’t have to do this.” “No, but I’m gonna do it anyway.” during Raven and Summer’s mission. I see headstrong determination as being a trait Yang learned from Summer. RoseBird is a cute idea but also heartbreaking if you think about how different Raven is in the present. She’s put up so many walls since whatever happened with Summer, and maybe more bad things happened since then, but I see that as likely a tipping point to hardening her heart to letting anyone in. It’ll be interesting if next volume when team ruby arrives in Vaccuo we can get a Yang and Raven reunion, if Raven is just relieved, or if she lets herself show anything more in front of the rest of the team. I’m sure if Qrow saw her between vol 8 and 9 he would have told her that Yang fell after hearing it from Winter. So to see her again would be shocking if not heartwarming. But either way, I really look forward to that whenever vol 10 is out.

Elijah I will say that I AM seeing some gay subtext on Raven's end in her relationship with Summer, but I doubt Summer reciprocates. That really does add a lot to Raven's character if she and Summer were trying to kill Salem- hence why Raven is so terrified of Salem. And it really adds to what she said to Ruby in V5- "You sound just like her". I still don't think Neo has any redemption potential, remember what she did to Ruby. Even Cinder's not that spiteful. The fact that she Ascended indicates she wants to become someone else, so essentially she's dead, and the writers confirmed she's not coming back. Plus as an Afteran she's now bound to the Ever After and can never leave. Funf, the Cat's monster form is called the Furious Cat.

I figure you might rewatch once Mosco arrives at Volume 9. Because Volume 9 is one I ALWAYS recommend being watched AT LEAST 2 times. Because once you finally understand how the Ever After works, how the three works, what is really the curious cat role. you will see EVERYTHING with different eyes. You will catch SO many details. This volume is just SO GOOD, it hurts like hell to watch but also hurts in a good way at the same time. I swear I just catched 3 more things watching those episodes here, and I've watched Volume 9 already 4 times. Every time I rewatch RWBY I connect more dots and form more theories about the story.

neos story probably ends here. she comees back in theory, but we probably wont see it. She didnt have any conections to remnant so she coudln't go through the door. through the tree she might become a different person in the fantasy world she always wanted to escape to. even if she somehow gets the wish to help remnant, she probably couldn't get there again. plus on a writers note, neo wasn't originally planned for the show, she was an awesome creative decision, my favorite ever, but maybe they need to tighten things for the finale.

something I noticed on this rewatch with you! When Summer walks passed Raven, she hits her just like Yang did in the vault in V5. Really cool detail showing that Raven might have birthed Yang, but Summer is her mom through and through.
