RWBY Chibi was announced on April 1st after the Volume 3 finale. So this kind of random non-canon nonsense was just what we needed. You now can watch where a lot of our RWBY memes originate (like "Nothing bad ever happened") What is the characterization of the cast? Whatever makes the sketch the funniest.

RWBY chibi season 1 came out a little bit after volume 3 as something need to be filled with the dark and gloom that came out from the volume Season 2 came out after volume 4 Season 3 came out after volume 5 Season 4 came out after volume 8 For who will appear and who won't and what's referenced I'll stay quiet for now for the funny bits you will watch as it's for wholesome fun with your "super bestie better than the restie" and none of it is canon.........except for the second bit in season 1 episode 23. That in my eyes is 100% canon

These were created to be a happy silly version after all the horrors the actual show gave us. It's an anime thing that some shows get a chibi version like this and I love that since RWBY is anime inspired, that they also did the chibi thing. By the way, where did Mosco get that catradora figure in the background? I love it. Some of my favorite Chibi moments are Ruby calling Blake's book filth and them saying nothing bad ever happened to Pyrrha. She is fine lol

So, if I remember correctly, Chibi was made in part as a response to the early volumes of RWBY picking up a significant number of younger viewers. While it was always intended for a more adult audience the show is pretty child-friendly until V3. As a result, and because a bunch of fans had been sharing it with their kids/ nieces & nephews/ etc. they decided to make Chibi after V3 aired so that there would be something more friendly to that audience.

Yeah, RWBY Chibi first came out after volume 3. Chibi tended to serve as something cute and relaxing after the intensity of the main show, where canon didn't stop them from bringing back characters like Pyrrha.

I am so so happy you are finally watching this and loving it, YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Chibi was and is still the funniest thing ever done by CRWBY and I thank them for it. so for context: yes, this was made in the aftermath of volume 3, when the shell-shocked fans needed a balm for all the heartbreak. therefore, keep in mind that everything in Chibi is set during Beacon days, so the characterizations are largely a reflection of that time as well as how some fans perceived them back in the day. it's partly CRWBY having their inside jokes and part riffing on fan perceptions of the day. I totally agree, the unhinged wacky nature of Chibi is what makes it so freaking adorable and hilarious. seeing your reactions is like watching it all for the first time all over again, so I am here for this ride! relatedly, there may not be outright Bumbleby like you saw in the main show, but I promise there will be enough little nods that you will eat up - because remember, IT WAS PLANNED FROM THE START! ;D I loved how you were so eager for Chibi Pyrrha and I was like "just you wait, you're about to see her"... and the way you just stopped talking altogether when Pyrrha appeared XD super valid but also kinda good that you allowed the characters to explain how this would work. so yes. NOTHING BAD EVER HAPPENED. EEEEEEVEEEERRRRRR!!! I know you'll love the rest of Chibi and I hope you love all the other appearances!

I'M SORRY I KEEP FORGETTING THINGS TO SAY! Blake cleaning her ears... from what I heard long ago, that skit was meant to address fan questions regarding whether Blake had one or two sets of ears, because the main show doesn't really make it obvious during the Beacon arc. so yeah, sometimes the skits exist for fan clarification lol

I'm glad you got the Pyrhha Chibi in the last one of your sequence :) I think you will be delightfully surprised at how many characters find their way to this series. I will only tease one.....imagine Chibi Neo ;) Also, 'nothing bad EVERY happened. EVER." is very important and may be one of the most pertinent lines of the series. In my humble opinion, Nora steals the show. Like usual :) In fact, there is a fairly recent theory that RWBY Chibi is a product and resides INSIDE Nora's mind and is way of coping with the loss of her parents, the loss of her friends, the grief of her life while Ren and her were alone, and the troubles Renora find themselves in circa Volume 9. I'd buy into that theory :)

Yup! It's all non-canon, and none of it is meant to represent the actual characters. But it is such fun! While I don't foresee psychiatrists prescribing RWBY Chibi anytime soon, it is a pretty effective treatment for depression. And if you enjoy roleplaying, you might enjoy RWBY The Grimm Campaign.

As you seem to have figured out Chibi is set after Volume 3 as if the fall of Beacon never happened. Jaune and Pyrrha happened during the fall of Beacon so didn't happen in the world of Chibi. Chibi is completely non Canon but can give some character insights as Chibi versions of characters are extreme versions of the characters with their personalities amplified.

Maybe she was into the weapons and fighting of the story and not the.... 'unarmed and armored fighting'. Or she was. I'm pretty solidly ace and I love romance. I REALLY hope that Viz brings back RWBY Chibi as well. Also, there is technically a quasi-4th season made up of 10 segments under a different name, Neon Konbini, which was an anthology series of various animated shorts made by Rooster Teeth in 2021, after Volume 8. I'm sure you could find a compilation of just the new RWBY Chibi bits from it, or have someone make it for you. (I say that because I don't know how good the other animated shorts are in Neon Konbini.)

Out of curiosity, what sports do you have the other RWBY characters down for in the Olympics? If we're going with the Winter games, I agree with Weiss being a figure-skater. Yang, I'd definitely say Hockey. Ruby, either snowboarding or some sort of skiing, anything that allowed her to go super fast. Not really sure about Blake, though.

No, just... No. It would ruin the emotional impact of her death both on the characters and the viewers. Also, it's a slippery slope once you start doing that as a showrunner, because then with every death there will be fans saying 'Aww, bring them back pretty please.'. And here is the thing: Any reincarnation or coming back from the dead was either because the person was synthetic (Penny) or by divine meddling (Salem, Ozpin/Ozma and technically the Maidens). None of our characters is a god. (As far as we know)
