Idk if anyone said it but Shane is undiagnosed autistic. The author confirmed it and his actor has been very vocal that he based a lot of his acting on his own father who is autistic too. Love this episode. Ilya's out here trying to turn up the emotional intimacy without talking about it or discussing it and Shane let himself dip his toes into that new level for a split second and spooked himself like a horse.

Kudos for picking up on the using of the first names, a lot of reactors miss that. And for understanding that Shane panicked because things got serious and that Ilya was devastated, some people watch that scene and somehow think Ilya doesn't care about Shane, which drives me nuts. When Ilya holds out his hand and reverts to calling him Hollander, I always read that as, "No, wait, I'll take it back, I'll go back to using last names, please don't leave me." It's heartbreaking. And you picked up on the ginger ale thing, too. ☺️

Hello, one thing I have to stay while there in bed Shane says “for what” and Ilya says “food..” you said so what after so I wanted to clarify also when Shane says “ I should go” Ilya sharply inhales then the whiny “stay” 2 of the best parts of this episode
