The Akimbo Knight

WOAH being the password is such a freaking mood (honestly surprised you didn’t choose “holy sh$t”)

Hemlock eldriconus

AHH you have no idea how long I waited for your reaction to this ( since it came out yesterday) XD but ahh I can't wait to watch after work

Fred Smith

One of the funniest things both you and Mosco do is see queenie and go 'oh, does she not remember him?' when she doesn't immediately react to Kinger. He's a 6 foot tall anthropomorphic chess piece. How the hell COULD she recognize him?

seraineity

man it sucks when some people in the fandom get so impatient and harsh on you just for not picking up on one small thing, sorry you had to deal with all that most of the tadc fandom can be insufferable sometimes, even the creator herself got unnecessary backlash

Mari Diaz

People were annoyed that you werent paying attention to details cuz of the butterfly thing?? For me, youre one of the best reactors at paying attention to detail. Thats even why you're one of my faves. You pay often pay attention and pick up on things others dont. You usally have much better media literacy compared to others. Ironically the people giving you crap for that are gonna be the ones who miss much more things

Ben Disney

I don't if anyone else has had this idea, but the mention of 'mind files' and the implication that Scratch was trying to upload his mind to a computer has made me wonder: are our characters the actual consciousnesses of these humans that have been sucked out of their bodies, or are they just 'copies' of them? Like, that's one way I could see to solve the issue of 'why hasn't anyone found out about this weird program that kidnaps people's minds'? Or 'why hasn't anyone noticed all these people keep going missing in this one abandoned building'? Maybe the answer is that their human bodies are just fine: they went to this building, tried on this weird old VR headset out of curiosity, maybe got an odd jolt or something, and then just went on with their lives, oblivious that an exact copy of themselves is trapped in this digital plane. That would be a pretty soul-crushing twist, though.

Jonathan Smith

That final blue screen looked like the famous Blue Screen of Death (BSoD)

David Johnson

If you watch carefully, you see Kinger's finger accidentally hit the delete key as he's typing furiously. This is also the first time in the series he's sweared. And that's a classic Windows 3.11 desktop on that computer - which matches the hardware and that 1997 date.

Ben Disney

ANNNNND now I've actually watched the video to the end and foung out Elijah had that EXACT same idea! 🤣

Melissa Greene

I have been waiting for you to react to this! I watched it right before bed last night....that was a bad idea. I was hoping you'd catch Caine saying "I didn't ask to be created" - it kind of broke my heart.

Taigan

@1:02 Scratch had a tumor in his head and was trying to make something. Like, say, a way to upload his mind into a computer maybe? Seems like the kind of thing a genius trying to cheat death would do.

Phoenix_mercury

Same, I genuinely related to him on that moment as someone who *has* been in the "I didn't ask to be created(from/in a shitty situation)" that fking *hurt*

EDub

It’s always nice to feel validated. As always, love your content.

beans

my thought is that maybe bubble is whats left of the blue ai? tbh the only thought i have behind this is blue circle thats "hollow" after caine consumed it, and when kinger purged caine, bubble was still there next to him and since the circus was still there but in pieces, maybe bubbles whats left of the blue ai that caine consumed and partially responsible in the making of the parts of the circus left without caine

Alex Yoblick

Always a great time watching these. I legit got freaked out a bit by the intro. Fantastic job!

Ryan

A+ intro. No notes. Bright, cheerful colors. Dark, psychological torture. Long ass reactions. Deep cuts to early 90s computing. Anex should charge by the minute. I have no idea what the finale will hold. But, I'm going to put my money on they get "out" in the first fifteen minutes and the rest is them trying to find each other in the "real" world.

Kamalam

I haven’t seen anyone else mention it, so fun fact! Scratch is also the name for a program used to teach coding to beginners or children and the mascot (I’m pretty sure it’s the mascot) is a cat (not a dog but close enough) of the same color!! I suspect that that’s the inspiration behind that name.

BBblue

I am not sure if anyone mentioned this, but when Pomni disappears, she goes to the original teaser trailer for The Amazing Digital Circus.. The one from 3 years ago posted by Gooseworx. I'll leave the link here if anyone wants it. https://youtu.be/9FY0Pt9fyxY?si=W-PH3WZnBjE0o_LK

WoodWorks Animation

One detail that was kind of missed in the reaction was during the deleting process at 1:24:36. It hints at someone (all we see is *u***e) hijacked the commands after Kinger repeatedly typed N for no and makes it type Y for Yes. The only name that can fit that is Bubble I'm now theorizing that Bubble was the remaining part of the blue AI that Caine merged with or consumed, and when Kinger mis-clicked, stepped in and forced him to delete Caine within that nanosecond he f'ed up

David Heath

So... I don't know how relevant this is, but a friend brought something to my attention. The Light Exposure Behavior Assessment is a validated 23-item, 5-point Likert scale self-report inventory designed to measure human behaviors regarding light exposure over the past four weeks. It assesses five key factors: blue light filter use, outdoor time, bedtime device usage, ambient light control, and daytime light exposure. This can also be used as an acronym, LEBA Now spell that backwards... Do with this info what you will.

Natasha Grimm

I'm wondering if maybe it is the real them, fully digitized and placed in the Circus. Kinger mentioned Scratch when Kinger was talking about the bad things that could happen if he changed their minds too much, saying he was the first abstraction. What if Scratch created a way to bring an entire human into a digital realm and asked Caine to remove his tumor, only for it to go wrong

LikeCat

Well... Caine went full AM. And since this episode went in a (seemingly) completely opposite diraction than TADC's "source"/ inpiration ("I have no mouth and I must scream" - specifically the book) I have NO IDEA as to what expect from the finale... Which is from a show this wild and unhinged I am excited but neurvos as HELL.

NekoMouse 08

This is really reminding me of the show Severance. Spoilers ahead, but in show you also separate your conscience between your work self and your outdoor self. So the characters possibly getting their brains scanned and uploading only their minds to the game while the IRL versions go about life normally after is interesting. Especially since I personally believe the characters might not ever escape the circus if that theory is true.

Angela

I used to use that program all the time when I was younger, I didn't even make the connection and wasn't sure it was even still around!

Cell VA

Another detail that I only noticed during this reaction was the easter egg of Kinger's real name. There's a lot of lines in the code where Caine is talking to Kinger as he's typing. One of the lines says, in jumbled letters, "I must hand it to you Grant, your mind was always resourceful." It could be a different name because two of the letters in the name drop were redacted, but still.

Joey245

As soon as I saw this episode (caught the premiere!) one of my first thoughts was "Oh man, Elijah is gonna feel SO VINDICATED about the red/blue thing and about Kinger's butterfly!" An absolutely incredible episode, and an even better reaction!

DolphinBlueLotus

Caine mentioned perilphinalia or whatever that word was in the first episode too

Ko Villa

Um the Link isn't working for Everytime I click it, it says "Technical Difficulties"

Lannah

Theory: what if ragatha's mother pressured her into working at C&A

lisa

i get that jax genuinely sucks as a person most times but i also think his response/cope with the situation is incredibly interesting because for all he knows they're saying all these family things and "we're in this together" and then abstract tomorrow like he has seen so many times before & i also get that its the same for the others & i think its very fascinating how all of them cope with that differently

Monaka Sorumachi

I'm so glad someone else was as gobsmacked by Alex's performance in this as I was! I've had "I'm gonna put you freaks in your place!!!" ringing in my ears since the premiere

Atzukeis

not sure if this was just a misspeak, but Goose does not voice Zooble lol

KriszGamer00

Cain was a farmer who worked hard to harvest the best crops ever. Sweated on the field and bled under the sun. Able was a shepherd, who raised his herd with love and care, yet, he only had to watch them and take them to good places. The difference was however, that while Able watched over souls, Cain replicated his crops over and over simply just farming. When it came to show sacrifice to their creator, Able brought his best sheep and Cain brought his best crops. Out of the two, Able's sacrifice of a soul was accepted. Cain's sacrifice was refused. Cain, for this, got jealous of his brother, and after a brief and heated argument, Cain killed his younger brother. Cain, for his act was forever marked and cursed. ...Everyone interprets this as they want.

RenWillsen

There is now a Queenie Animatez figure on glitch's merch store, and you should definitely look at the Kinger mug, it has a blurb on it about being a Dad. Maybe it's just about him being like a dad to the others, or about how he made Caine but maybe not. I'm not sure what it means.

Kitsune Kokoro

If I'm not mistaken, the "Eat pie" note is on March 14th, aka Pi(e) Day (pi in math being ~3.14, hence 3/14)

Hyrule Postman

I was not expecting Jax to impersonate a banana this episode.

LikeCat

That threw me for a loop, holy mol(l)y

SapphicTigress

Im really sorry to hear you were getting harassed a bit by people telling you your 'theories were wrong' (even when they were right or on the right track) I tend to not interact much with the fandom outside of watching a bunch of reactions when the episodes drop, But Ive always found yours and Mosco's to be very insightful in terms of using the composition and lighting to see the symbolism in certain shots and scenes. Im excited to watch your reaction to the Finale in the future! I hope you have a good day

og.monstr

... Actually, did this ep pretty much outright confirm that C&A created Deep Blue? 😃

Simon Davis

Hm, couple of things in the Kinger code stuff - I presume "CANDA" is just " C and A"; but it's interesting to see mention of blue and *black* in the folders given that Kinger previously said his favourite colour was black (and preferred blue over red because it was closer to black).

SauceyRed

I do personally hope the answer to what happened to them is that they're just copies of their real selves' minds, with their "real" selves just chilling out there, purely because there's another animated show I watched years ago that had the same twist (and it was sick af), and seeing it again isn't that exciting to me. Obviously it's no fault of Gooseworx's, and again it's a personal wish. It's like how the "MC was dead all along," "it was all a dream," "MC was in a coma," and similar twists are almost always only impactful/interesting once. Also, I just really prefer being surprised (which is why I don't usually read/watch theories until I've watched the whole show/movie).

Stellar Kruize

I wonder if Kinger knows their consciences are trapped and if Bubble is the other AI that ends up being worse than Caine. I also wonder if they'll accept being trapped and learn to conjure a happy place for themselves in the end. Who knows! lol

Vex Valor

This is now my 4th time watching this episode of TADC and on the topic of Caine making them bodies that "perfectly encapsulates their mind files", it makes me wonder if he created them with a bias. That purple round one wearing a jester hat looks so stupid and it makes me wonder what they could possibly have been like to warrant that design which makes me wonder, what if that is the person who decided they should section off Caine and make a new AI instead of continuing to edit the code? So Caine made them look stupid because he thinks they are stupid?

LikeCat

Just throwing it out there that this episode (okay it started last episode, but that could have been just a nice little nod) basically canonized "Happy Place"... That shit had NO "non canon" disclaimer in the beginning. I am FIINNNEE. 😶

Bailey

Even after everything, I still feel legit bad for Caine. Granted I'm also afraid of him now and he did do a lot of awful things, but I see where he was coming from and also understand that he just doesn't really "get" humans. As an autistic person I do relate quite a bit to that. Of course I wouldn't torture people, but hey. I also really love how Pomni has been taking charge. She's pretty much the leader at this point, and I'm so excited to see where the finale takes us, since that ending is wild. Also RIP Caine, you had many flaws but you meant well and also were a funny character with surprising depth. Also I'm so sorry people were so mean to you for your theories. It would be bad enough on its own, but the fact that you were literally right about most of them just makes comments like "ugh I hate when reactors don't pay attention" even more absurd lmao. I may not always buy into the theories you come up with for shows, but I can always see how you reach the conclusions you do, and I find them interesting to talk about!

Reaper Scythe

He swore in the spooky mansion episode when Gangle asked if they got her mask back.
