Waiting for Elijah to react to that Owl House graphic novel

Angelus Lupus

Before I start watching, I just wanna say - I'm probably going to buy Dispatch because of Elijah! Edit to add: I'm pretty sure that the "genetic material from same-sex parents" science HAS been achieved, but I'm not sure how easy/practical/available it is.

DarkDragon77

Ok first off, can we ever get a gaming stream of you playing Dispatch because that would be fun to watch. Secondly, Lois’s human genes must have kicked the shit out of Clark’s kryptonian genes because the only things I see John getting from his dad are his eyes and his powers

Gihellcy

"Lane's genes don't slack off" Sam Lane, probably XDD

Gihellcy

MAWS showrunners must have been in a office deciding "How about we make a Superman series, but it's super duper She-Ra & DBZ coded" cause yea, I didn't watched She-Ra (yet, I must make time for this) but I'm a huge DBZ fan and I see ALL the DBZ references, hi Future Trunks erm I mean, Jon Kent XDD

OldUncleDan

What would I do if my child (heck I'm not even in a relationship at this point) from the future showed up out of the blue? Probably freaking out about and lecturing my future kid about The Bootstrap Paradox. Then I would probably go into a rant about the idiocy of my future self being apparently unable to explain to my supposed child about the implications and how this may end up irreparable damage to the future and causing this child to no longer exist.

Androzani84

So fun fact: Jon!s VA Darren Criss was previously the voice of Superman himself in the "Tomorrowverse" animated film universe (specifically, Superman: Man of Tomorrow, Justice Society: World War II, Legion of Super-Heroes, Justice League: Warworld and all three parts of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths)

The Akimbo Knight

No spoilers but just a heads up you're NOT ready for next weeks episode (easily one of the best episodes of the season, MAJOR goosebumps)

David Johnson

I want to say that Jon in a jacket with a sword is a nod to Future Trunks from DBZ...but I don't actually know. Porcupine Jimmy is another nod to a Silver-age Jimmy transformation. It's not his weirdest one from that era. "How many things is Jimmy right about?" That is the... terrifying question.

This situation is like if a curly haired redhead wearing a "My mom's not gay; but her wife is!" t-shirt dropped in on Mosco and Elijah during brunch and immediately started quoting RWBY. It is extremely obvious what's happening but also they would have so many questions. 8:05 ...I wrote the above paragraph way before I got to this point when you described almost exactly the same hypothetical situation. Given I am chronically single and pushing 40, this hypothetical situation is extremely unlikely but suspending disbelief for a moment, if my future progeny appeared before me, and was a red head like me, my first thought would probably be "my mom must have been thrilled" because for as long as I can remember she has tongue-in-cheek told me I have to marry a redhead so she gets ginger grand-kids.

Tristan Haller

The conversation between Jon and Jimmy about the jacket is a comics meta-joke. The jacket doesn't say Jon Kent but does say Superboy because the leather jacket over spandex look was the aesthetic of the *Connor* Kent/Kon-El superbly, who was a clone of Superman created by Lex Luthor (with Lex's own DNA in the mix as well). That version of Superboy premiered in the Reign of the Supermen arc that followed the original Death of Superman event. Meanwhile, Kara on the horse may be a reference to Comet the Super-Horse, who Silver Age Supergirl had an...*interesting* relationship with.

Eliteguard99

I HEAVILY relate to Lois's crashout over parenthood and the future moving too fast.

Helen Dingo

Fun fact: In the comics, Jon Kent is canonically bisexual. He even had a Pride Month special comic a few years ago going on a date with a boy he liked, and Clark letting him know that he loves him. 💖

Matthew Paul

Jimmy in Season 3 is amusing Elijah as much as Season 2 Charlie right now.

Jessica V

About this lex author, I will say I appreciate this take where he's acting on fear as his motivation. All other lex luthors act on envy, greed and desire for power.

Daniel Drew

Jon's design is based off of the 90's Superboy Kon-El (Conner). Steel, Cyborg Superman, Conner and another character were the 4 possible replacements for Clark after Superman died from fighting Doomsday in the Death of Superman comic event. Here they paid homage to that Superboy by making it Jon instead. In the comics, Jon appeared only in 2015, so he's still a relatively new character. Clark and Lois having two sons is only from the "Superman and Lois" CW series, neither of which have any comic origins besides Jon in 2015.

Anzac-A1

8:17 I suspect you'd start crying.

Anzac-A1

I feel like she'd absolutely choose Blonde Blazer.

Daniel Drew

Also, I wouldn't say no to you reacting to the 90's Superman animated series. It would introduce you to almost all of Superman's rogues gallery. Also it's just so good XD.

DarkDragon77

Even though she’s not a romance option, I have a strong suspicion she’d pick Malevola

Chris P3

If my future kid showed up, I'd definitely have questions (When were you born? How old are you? Who's your mother? Am I still alive?) but I'd also be excited and relieved.

Tarot-Sovereign

Elijah. Did you pick Invisigal when you played Dispatch? Were you thinking "I can fix her" ? Tell us the truth.

ConnorH265

So the reason why I think the jimmy being turned into different animals is really funny, is because in his original comics they were always turning jimmy into things like a wolf man porcupine he once was a kaju superman in a very not ok witch doctor outfit married jimmy to a gorilla and even tried to adopt jimmy once ah the 40s

Shay

It's genuinely crazy too, bc Jon historically looks like a carbon copy of Clark😅
