I JUST watched this today.

Rainbow Moth

This needs to be a series. Hopefully a trustworthy company will pick up Lackadaisy like A24 picked up Hazbin Hotel

Rainbow Moth

Rocky is voiced by Michael Kovach, who is honestly the best character in whatever he is in. He voiced Angel Dust in the pilot and Addict video of Hazbin Hotel - and he voices N in Murder Drones

FullmetalNinja25

This is based upon an Eisner Award Nominated Web Comic that started in 2006 and ran until 2020.

Been waiting for your reaction to this, "everything's come full circle baby" meow moew.

Personally I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with this, for me the story wasn't that interesting. There really wasn't anything that made me laugh, and honestly none of the characters stood out for me. At least not enough that I want to continue their story. I'm not a not a fan of musicals either so I really didn't enjoy the singing at the beginning. The animation was decent enough, but basically I didn't find the story or any of the characters that interesting. Just my opinion anyway.

Joey Quixote

Serafine asks if Mordecai will get "sentimental about old times". Later, when Mordecai has Ivy in his sights, he lowers his weapon. Additionally, Ivy didn't see Mordecai throughout the encounter. I'm guessing there's a prior connection between them.

Hell yeah! Of all the new things you announced watching, this is the one I was most excited to see your reaction to. As soon as I saw this uploaded I dropped what I was doing to watch. I absolutely love this pilot and I sincerely hope it gets picked up for a full series! Btw, if you haven't already, when you re-watch it, check out all the photos during the end credits. As someone who has not read the webcomics, it gave very interesting insight into the lore and character relationships. And I know you love theorising, so that should be interesting for you too, haha. :)

I've been seeing bits and pieces of Lackadaisy for a while, so it's really cool seeing its pilot officially out after all this time. While it's not quite my favourite time period, the 1920s were a really interesting time, and it's cool seeing something like this set during that era. Also fun fact, considering Alastor from Hazbin died in 1933, this is about the time period he would have lived during. Angel Dust too, I think. As if a cool time period wasn't enough, the characters in this are also cats, so they wins it bonus points tbh!

I know this is a late reply, and you might already know by now if you’re following the YouTube channel for Lackadaisy, or their socials, in which case you can ignore this comment. But the animators who worked on this pilot are going to be continuing it. Season 1 has a teaser out on the YT channel.

Vivica the witch

so as someone who has been reading Lackadaisy since 2005. I love this animation so much. It really captures Rocky's unhingedness.

Hi, I just wanted to ask if you may want to post a reaction to this mini episode that you seem to have missed, which is about our darling Ivy and sheds some light on interesting character interactions from the Pilot! https://youtu.be/GqkUy8M-GfQ
