Isaac is the most I've ever felt seen by a fictional character. First with the whole book thing (thank the autism for that one) and now it's fantastic to see an ace person start to question their attraction to people like this. When I was this age 20+ years ago, asexuality was just not part of any kind of conversation, so I always just thought there was something wrong with me in particular that the whole thing everyone kept talking about of getting massive crushes during puberty never happened. I finally settled on it around age 30, mainly from feeling that if I was wired to have sexual attraction, it would have happened with SOMEONE by then, and I can state with conviction that the talk you often hear from LGBT people about feeling a huge relief at accepting their orientation applies very much to the A as well. I very much look forward to where Isaac can go from here after the writing has nailed the experience so well this season.
