So for a long time the rewatch of ATLA has taken up the bonus video slot.

But with that having come to an end I want your ideas for what to watch / read / discuss / etc.

This would be a good place for peripheral materials, comics, reactions to fan videos or parodies, etc!

Let me know and I'll choose from this list for the foreseeable future!

Comments

Anthony Dorado

There are a number of phenomenal ATLA comics detailing the adventures of the gang post-war. It’d be dope to see you react to those!

trankuill

you should try aot abridged if you haven't seen it, it's pretty good

Stefan

Solo leveling as a comic/manwha is a definite tip!

James Nash

attack on titan junior high , nothing of like breakdown value and no philosophical discussions but it’s very funny and easy to watch

Rodrigo Torres

Evangelion rewatch!!! (Unless this is planned as a main show)

Burton

There is a Minecraft Movie divided into ten parts. The series is called “Songs of War.” Although here is not much to commentate, I highly recommend watching this high quality animated show. I really like the lore, the story, the fights, and the script. The creator of this story, unfortunately, cancelled the second and third seasons of the show since season 1 was not as successful as he wanted it to be.

Nick

An interesting idea would be to watch an anthology show every Saturday. Maybe the original twilight zone show? Not sure how dated it is by now but you probably get the idea It'd be interesting to have something cycle week to week like that. I would also be interesting in bonus videos that dive into specific characters that speak to you (from shows we haven't or have seen, you could interlace the talking with clips or stills.) Another idea would be bonus videos dedicated to watching horrible shows and seeing what you can pull out of them. I'm throwing ideas out there some might be better than others. I think I and a lot of other people also find your stories about traveling pretty interesting, be cool to get a video talking about them in depth. I know the channel has had a travel vlog before though Another bonus video idea: Taking questions completely unrelated to any show you're watching and breaking them down. Recording bloopers if you have any that you have had to cut. I can think of more but I don't want to clutter a single comment

Nick
>>65675908

so instead I'll clutter the replies to that single comment! (joking) Another idea is potentially putting a show in the Saturday slot. 1 video a week, maybe a shorter show slice of life perhaps since that is usually less plot heavy, no cliffhangers. You could eventually upload it to the main channel a while later after finishing it. Edit: Erwin Smith (and/or Aizawa) - The Video Essay (A Goodwin TV) Edit edit: I originally wrote another comment that was recommending a slice of life anime but deleted it for now since it doesn't feel like the proper place to bring it up

Jabin (Aelic)

You should watch Every Episode of Attack on Titan by Anthpo. They're hilarious and right up your alley.

Nick
>>65676076

I will never forget the poem from his season 2 video Edit: To clarify, I second this idea. I personally think his videos are more funny than AOT in 9 minutes. Also, his editing and commitment to the videos is actually insane. If anything it's worth witnessing from a production standpoint, he's a damn one man army

Sergio Fialho

Attack on Titan junior high is hilarious and I think you’d enjoy it a lot

Khalid

Hmm... I have few things in mind Solo leveling (manwha/reading) Jojo bizarre adventure Attack on titan no regret (Erwin and levi ova) the manga version is somewhat different than the anime Attack on titan season 4 trailer because there is many scenes in the trailer are from part 2 it'll be fun to watch and start speculations Idk this is the first that comes to mind tbh

Zavooloo

Wait so I'm confused kinda. Are we re-rewatching ATLA? Cuz I'm super into that. Idk how many times I go back to to watch the rewatches "with" you but it's embarrassingly a bunch cuz uh ya lessons n stuff while I eat food or sometimes I get drunk and sad and need someone to happy-cry with I mean what

Brimmy

So there's a 13 episode anime whose episodes are about 4 minutes long and all of them are on youtube its called Orenchi no Furo Jijou a.k.a Merman in my tub its cute and precious and it honestly needs to be remade into longer episodes of its intro which has nothing do to with the anime XD Daily Lives of High School Boys is another anime its uber comedy Hyouka is slept on and SO SO GOOD ID:Invaded or Kyokou Suiri(In/Spectre) would bring discussions to the channel Spice and Wolf is good too if u like talking and \economics\ i'm not kidding btw

Nick
>>65676610

I've had In/Spectre on my watchlist for actual months. If you had to pitch it to someone without going too deep in depth, what would you say? I trust the taste in shows of people here so I'm sure it's good, I'm just curious. It might kick me to watch it

Bells_Sparrow

I think you would enjoy reading the manwha/webtoon Trace - it takes on the whole "people suddenly develop supernatural abilities and fight evil beings" plot, but from a more korean perspective and focus on what troubles these people have to face in a society that has not yet gotten really used to them.

Gabe A

A short anime called Black Lagoon(dub) would be great. Netflix has a great anthology show called Love Death And Robots. Stand Alone Scifi eps that would be right up your alley

Dempsy

Netflix has a fun show called Love, Death, and robots. Its not too long either. You should also consider watching "Your Name" and "A Silent Voice"

thevoidbender

Two words: Project Mouthwash. Or since you are watching MHA Something Whitty Entertainment is way more famous for the Sword Art Online Abridged but they do have an MHA abridged that’s only the first like 2 episodes so far.

Bloodchronism

I think you should pick a relatively long running popular series that you haven't seen (something like Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Lost, One Piece, Naruto, Westworld, etc.) and watch certain episodes out of order. A few, not the entire series. Or maybe watch 1 from each season and create discussion about the developments. Speculate on how things may have happened. It's a format I've seen a youtuber do once with Game of Thrones and it was really well received. He basically put up a poll after each episode for people to decide which ep he would watch next. Think about it!

Zach F

Your name and a silent voice. 2 of the best stories ive watched

Bloodchronism

Have you considered recording yourself playing story-heavy games that would spawn good discussions and wouldn't be too different from the genre you built your audience upon? Games like Persona or Danganronpa

The Bird of Hermes

watch Redline. Redline is an anime movie that was in production for 7 years. It is credited as one of the last fully hand drawn animated films.

Eric Gilreath

There's a war anime called "86" that deals with some dark subjects.

Anonymous

Watch Saint Young Men; an anime slice of life/comedy movie. Basically Jesus and Buddha are friends in the afterlife or whatever and they decide to go on vacation in Japan to experience modern life, like being scared of your landlord or catching a limited-time sale of toilet paper the supermarket or go to an amusement park. You know modern life.

benj
>>65680373

86 is amazing, don't think he's gonna watch that before many other more popular shows within that genre tho. Its so new as well too so. Im hoping by the time the next cour is airing the show will have gained a lot more popularity, not to say it already isn't pretty popular cause it is.

Joel S

I have to recommend you check out Dragonball Z Abridged by TeamFourStar. It starts out a little silly, but they go into some interesting theories about why certain characters are the way they are. Also its a laugh a minute.

benj

Because you're watching My Hero and have already watched FMA and AOT, it seems highly likely based on the engagement response JJK will be the next show so maybe for this bonus slot you do a more Slice of life and/or Romance type of show that are usually on the shorter side (13-25 episodes usually) or just Fruits Basket reactions that are maybe less edited and longer so its easier to put them out? Idk just randomly spit balling stuff here, I would enjoy seeing you react to other material that isn't just TV/Movies but I'm mostly just here to see you watch TV lmao. "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" (Do not judge the show by its name lol) is an incredible 13 episode RomCom that would be a quick watch and ripe with character exploration that would be so wildly different than whats been on the channel so far. You would love the male MC Sakuta. TLDR; Watch "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" please and thank you

benj
>>65675823

EVA rewatch would be insanely awesome, the amount of analysis and interpretation there is to have over that show would be perfect for the patreon and goodwins format of reaction imo

Raysa Fonseca

I would love to see something like you rewatching tv shows that you watched long ago that impacted you at the time and seeing what changed, the impact it had now and things like that

DennisAnimeFan
>>65678958

Sounds cool, but obviously also ruins great shows for the person watching. I imagine I'd be very upset if I did this with Game of Thrones, slowly realizing that I ruined the journey of a great show for myself

DennisAnimeFan

Clearly a Code Geass Rewatch would be the best replacement for the ATLA Rewatch! :)

Kollie123

Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai

John Carrizales

Here is my personal list! Top three on rewatch, new anime and movie animes : )! -Re-watch Suggestion 1.Trigun 2.Cowboy Bebop 3.Death Note. -New Anime Suggestions 1.Goblin Slayer (Not for the faint of heart but the first episode aside it is a great anime could be controversial due to gore and sexual content) Again this one is really! Good and despite the first episode has some good points it trys to make. If this is a pateron only sugguestion this would be my top pick. 2.Deadman Wonderland- Great anime unfortunately it doesn't have a continuation as it wasn't as popular in japan as it was in the states but the first season still a good watch. 3.The Saga of Tanya the Evil- I would love to see your reaction to this I am not sure if you have dived into the Ishikai genre of animes but I would love your reaction to this anime alot of people also think of Tanya as some evil person but I would love to see what you thoughts are and I clearly can't see it. However does have some themes that could be see as controversial such as her distain for God. Anime Movies 1.YOUR NAME!!-It is a very dam good movie! Both the dub and sub are fantastic! Mokoto Shinkai's Greatest work to date 2.A Silent Voice- I can't say to much with out spoiling the movie but this is a MUCH WATCH I would have put this first but i love your name more but this would be a excellent movie for your channel and pateron as it would deal with alot of Humanities subjects. 3. Can't think of a good third movie at the moment.

Race Jenkins

It would be cool to see you do more comics like you did with the Avatar ones. Maybe Saga, the Berserk manga, or Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run, to name a few of my favorites.

Skyler Anderson

This is a light suggestion because I’m sure you aren’t looking to start a whole new reaction for an anime but Haikyuu is a volleyball anime that goes heavily into the ideas of hard work vs talent and doing what you’re truly passionate about. Great series to try out. Also Your Name is a fun romantic comedy movie

Logan

My suggestion is unlikely to happen, just due to how fuckin' long the videos would be, but here you go: A full in-depth reaction/break down of the first six Star Wars movies. (Yes, I know he has seen them already.) Again, each video would be multiple hours long, so this isn't likely to happen, but a man can dream lol

Josh

Dragon ball z abridged by team four star. First 10 or so episodes is a little slow but afterwards they really hit their stride. It’s got some questionable jokes but overall it’s good.

Stephen husuc

Well considering the last one just released how about the evangelion rebuild movies

Llama Del Rey

Hunter x hunter is a show I think you will enjoy

cameron holloway

I would love to see your break down n analyze episodes of bojack horseman

Logan Bradford

Book reviews! Weekly meditations on whatever you want!

Madalyn Harris

An aot re-watch would be my choice, but I saw a comment saying how they like something more mellow and I agree. A show like "Plastic Memories" or "Say I Love You" would be amazing to see

Simba
>>65686133

I love haikyuu. But Tbh I didn't think he would ever get around to it

Anonymous

I think movie reactions would be super cool, live action or animated, but as a recommendation A Silent Voice is one of my favorites and I think it might have some topics that would be really interesting to listen to you discuss.

Anonymous
>>65692226

Also a book recommendation that isn’t really for the open ATLA rewatch slot but I think is really good is The Way of Kings from the Stormlight Archives series. It’s a fantasy book but it has some amazing characters and explores ideals and people trying to be the best they can be (some people not so much).

Sage

Maybe use it for bonus material for shows you are watching/have watched. Like spin off manga that will most likely never be animated.

blu_regards
>>65685236

I like this idea too. I was thinking it could be done as sort of like a weekly read along (have certain chapters to read that week) and then have the recap/discussion/review as the bonus video. Although it probably best to test it out with a shorter series just to see if it works.

Ned

My hero academia vigilantes is a good manga that expands on the my hero world and gives it some new depth and I don't think that it is super likely to get animated. Solo leveling is a personal favorite manhwa, but it isn't super deep. Aot has some great rewatch value, as you pick up on so much more already having and idea of where the story is going, but for something more light hearted maybe an attack on titan junior high would be better.

Aura Y

I know that you already go into a lot of analysis for characters, but I think I'd love to see an entire video dedicated to your favorites like a video essay on Zuko, Erwin, Aizawa, etc. But that might also take too much editing, so just an idea.

Chill Potato

Ah yes. The time has come for the long-awaited ATLA re-re-watch

Jupiterninja

Drazon Ball Z Abridged is fantastic, but it admittedly takes >10 episodes to get fantastic. But the earlier episodes are super short anyway

Nick
>>65698650

Some of these suggestions are eerily similar lol. I also proposed an Erwin/Aizawa essay video Great minds think alike

benj
>>65698758

unironically would love this, maybe next year? Lol

benj
>>65681590

and just cause everyone is saying this, Your Name and A Silent Voice are both incredible films that I would love to see you watch although you said you already watched Your Name so.

Michael Stollard

Honestly I'd love an AOT rewatch in the same format. There's so much you miss the first time around because you don't know anything about the world yet. Although I could see you circling back to this idea when you've finished season 4 part 2 it would be welcome. Another idea could be shorter TV shows. Something like invincible with only 8 episodes could work well in this bonus spot

Brimmy
>>65676899

did i find my people? bro how long is trace now? (just checked oh my god at least its completed now last i knew there were 70 something chapters) there's a 1.5 and a 2.0 oh dear god so many THINGS ugh my nostalgia hit me hard i didn't think anyone else knew about Trace cept meeeeeeeeee

Karsten Hase

EEEEpic rap battles of history anyone xD?? just kidding...or am i

Brimmy
>>65691193

MY PEOPLE OMGGGGGGGGGGG SAY I LOVE YOU IS SOOOO GOOD! and i can't not think of it and not bring up Kimi ni Todoke(From Me to You) both are just SO GOOD

Arnav B
>>65675788

Yeah this is a great choice. It’s just a super fun manhwa to read and something that Alex can go at in his own pace.

Arnav B

Videos of you reading manga would be awesome! You could choose the number of chapters you read per video and it probably wouldn’t require much editing on your part. You could read some manhwa like Solo Leveling or Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint which are both solid and super fun or manga like Berserk and Chainsaw Man (unless you’re planning on watching the Chainsaw Man anime once it starts airing, which is something I highly recommend).

William Abbott

Samurai Champloo is a great show. Not too many episodes. Maybe randomly choose the show you want to drop so then all series will move along quicker. That infinity train show seems kind of cool too I might need to watch it myself.

William Abbott

Samurai Champloo, vinland saga and hunter x hunter are all good shows I havent finished hunter but the in really enjoy the art and of the first two.

Aray YIKAMACI

Watch Too Hot to Handle or The Circle haha, like the good old days

Nony

Have you watched Death Note?

Craig Stanley

That time that I got Reincarnated as a Slime. I love this show because its honestly just so fun to watch. The show has a pretty laid back attitude but also epic action scenes which are super enjoyable to watch. Fun world building, characters, etc. It's somewhat popular right now, as season 2 part 2 is airing. I feel like your reaction to that would be fun to watch because you're really intelligent and would pick up on some things that most reactors don't pick up on, and I would like hearing your commentary on parts of the show I imagine you'd pick up on that many reactors don't even realize is there lol.

jdthebud
>>65679396

That is a great suggestion! One of my favorite animated movies.

Anonymous

I think for bonus videos you should do bulk hxh videos, aka 2/3 episodes at a time. It's an incredible series that I think you would really enjoy.

Calsafer

I've watched quite a few of your reactions at this point, and while they've mostly been animated, i gotta admit i'd LOVE to see a reaction from you on Ted Lasso. It's such an uplifting, wonderful show, and the characters go through such interesting transformations!

Donovan Brown

It’s Such A Beautiful Day. It’s a animated movie by Don Hertzfeldt. The closest thing I can compare it to is Midnight Gospel. Is silly and creepy and beautiful in a lot of the same ways.

NB1K

You should watch Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotels. They're a good series to react to.

Xurban

Hannibal would be a great show for you to watch. Not a lot of people have reacted to it on youtube and it's a really beautifully written and performed series. it's only 3 seasons so it'd go by pretty fast.

Ashton Yeremian

If Infinity train is too much of a pain for copyright and upload stuff, I wouldn't mind that as short extra content

Xurban

OOH BOJACK HORSEMAN! PLEASE. I know I said Hannibal and I'd still really love that but BOJACK HORSEMAN.

Jo

Think some people are mistaking this as a place to suggest new actual full shows to watch haha. I feel like the AoT rewatch has to happen at some point before Season 4 Part 2, whether you record it or go through it again on your own. Personally, there are a few more OVAs and special episodes I'd love to see you react to from both FMAB and AoT, though I'm not sure if they've been dubbed or if they're just subtitled. Same goes for a very tiny OVA that came out with the My Hero Academia Two Heroes movie!! It definitely doesn't have a dubbed version, but it's called My Hero Academia - All Might Rising and acts as a little bit of a prologue to his career.

Anonymous

Too Hot to Handle season 2! Also, I'd really suggest Doctor Stone. I think it'd be great to see on what you'd have to say about it.

Yusuf

Castlevania and Cobra Kai! Love those shows.

Anonymous

Maybe read the avatar books? Theres a lot of interesting stuff on those

bryn sutton

over the garden wall! it's a miniseries that can be watched in one sitting but there's so much myth and symbolism and theme to analyze

Nick
>>65835175

That would genuinely be perfect for a patreon exclusive ngl. Especially because it is semi musical so a lot of copyright on YouTube I would imagine

Sandy Gamboa

I REALLY wanna see what you think of Westworld if you haven't seen that yet, its amazing SciFi!

Sarah

Haikyuu :D

malik

Everytime, my recommendation will be Psycho Pass

Sal Inger

If you want something wholesome and lighthearted, I''d recommend Haikyuu If you want something with a lot of philosophy and heavy themes in it, I'd recommend Vinland Saga

Sean D

Oh what about DBZ Abridged, or some Bo Burnham Special

Kamolak

Megalobox, Hajime No Ippo, or Baki the grappler (old).
