i love slice of life episodes like this, i feel it's much needed for a lot of shounen shows, and i actually really dislike a lot of shounen because it feels like they never give u a breather to just watch the characters interact with each other in their daily lives. i think MHA is really good because it's able to do a good balance

MHA is also aware of the fact that it has amazing secondary characters and plays directly into that which I also love. I have never really felt like the story was just Deku's story, because the author has ingrained all of the other students personalities so deeply into everything

***Spoilers Ahead*** Does the spy among the students plot go anywhere? They just brought it up again this episode but I don't remember that being brought up again or playing a major role in the new seasons.

What a beautiful and much needed wrap up to the arc. The show and the students recognize that they need a much needed quieter episode after such emotional events. I loved seeing all their individual personalities are shown just through their room decorations. I think what the show does well is having such a diverse and awesome cast of fun characters. While not all students get the spotlight, I think every character is unique and is definitely someone's favorite.

Can confirm when I was watching this episode on Crunchyroll few days ago, a comment from when it was airing basically said "idc that this is canon in the manga it shouldn't exist" I think people forget that story beats like these are important too, especially because this one in particular gives the heroes themselves a needed break (while also letting us deal with the aftermath)

FYI: #1 Bakugo took Kaminari into the bushes and made him activate his quirk so he could use Kaminari’s funny dumb version to distract everyone else from the kind thing he was about to for kirishima. #2 it really doesn’t matter at all that the dorm has 1A across it cause the dorm is on campus at UA and as a manga reader I can safely say, UA’s security system is insane lol

Fun fact: According to a recent interview with Horikoshi, Bakugou's room has a sort of smart/ contemporary style, Tsu's has "a bit of an ethnic flair" (which I'm not quite sure what that means), and Mineta's room is "just a disaster." From that same interview he says that on his days off Aizawa does lesson planning and "follows stray cats" which idk I thought was funny. And I very much appreciate what you said about Hagekure, she didn't have to do Kirishima like that

I was a bit curious so I looked up what Hagakure said in the sub and it wasn't exactly the same but it wasn't too far of either. In the sub version she said "This looks like it'd rank in around second for the room you'd least want your boyfriend to have"

You have very strong negative reactions to girls dumping guys or putting them down when they expose a hidden part of themselves ("I'm a superhero", "this is my room, I like to work out", etc.) , which is perfectly understandable. It's a moment of trust and vulnerability on the guy's part, and the fear of that sort reaction (especially from women) is what leads a lot of men to embraced the more closed-off and emotionally toxic parts of masculinity. However, I think that the reason to control your anger is the same reason a lot of people control their anger at Mineta or Kaminari for being perverted. They're all just teenagers and don't really understand or can't even imagine how their actions will negatively impact their peers later in life.

I get where you're coming from, but I'm pretty sure he was just roasting Hagakure because the joke potential in her quirk is infinite and while it's true that they're all teenagers, I don't see how it's wrong to make fun of teenagers acting stupid. I certainly still make fun of myself from 5 years ago, as well as teen fictional characters

When Aizawa excluded Bakugo, Jiro, and Hagakure when making his explusion threat, it was because they were not involved in the decision to rescue Bakugo. Obviously Bakugo himself couldn't have been there, but Jiro and Hagakure were both still unconscious at the hospital from the gas attack.
