As much as I want to criticize Miko for having those fantasies that serve to make herself feel good or nurture an image of herself, it only takes a second to realize how much people do that in their day to day lives, especially in high school. I think that comes from a place of wanting to feel needed or relied upon, so we create fantasies where our best traits that people don’t know about (possibly because they might not exist) are truly shown to others. Sort of like an inversed imposter syndrome, where you feel you have amazing traits that others can’t see, and if you can just be in a situation to show those traits, you will be more liked.

It's interesting, just reading this comment sent me back in time a little bit. You're right! Come to think of it I think I had a lot of fantasies like that in high school that were in hindsight totally surreal.

New Goodwin hairstyle has been unlocked. Also who really wants to watch the Student Council do actual work? Keep that stuff offscreen lmao I just wanna see the insane shenanigans and funny side plots, and thats what the show gives us.

You’re so right about how joining the student council is a growing opportunity for Miko and Ishigami, and of course for everyone else to. The first time I watched season 2, I was worried about how Miko was going to fit into the group dynamic but I quickly began looking forward to every time she appeared on screen. Even more so than the romance, I think this season does a great job at establishing the student council as something special and essential to every member.

I feel this as well, the student council members and there dynamics with eachother will always for me be my favorite part of the show. And not just the romances like you said, the friendships and mutually beneficial relationships as well.

25:37 “Why are you running? Why are you running?” energy

I have the sneaking suspicion that Miyuki was the kid in fourth grade that tried to carry 5 chairs.

Don't forget that Shirogane has revealed some pretty significant insecurities to the audience. For one, he doesn't feel he has enough value on his own, so he has to push himself to the limit in order to become Kaguya's equal.

Could be wrong but it felt like this was one of the episodes you enjoyed the most so far based on watching your reaction. Lots of analysis and thoughtful commentary (30 min video), finding a lot of the jokes and gags funny. etc. Great reaction chief, prolly my favorite so far since you started this show. This with JJK is my personal favorite era we have ever had on the channel since ATLA.

Yeah it's a great episode all around. Lots of character focus with some great humor, and one of the episodes that I feel is more than just a collection of skits but is more cohesive. It also doesn't hurt that this is the first video I filmed after what was essentially a 2 week vacation lol

Kaguya and Ishigami's developing closeness is one of the best parts of this series! Quick recap: “Thus Ishigami Closes His Eyes, Part 1” was the episode when Kaguya helps out Ishigami in the exams. We got part 2 today, but curiously, that chapter barely had Ishigami in it at all.

Khalid

Kaguya and Ishgami moments is one of the best things in the show for me I feel She’s like a big sister to him strict sometimes but also has a very soft spot and try to help him

And now we enter the best arc in this show

(bit of a long comp for this one lol. Just means it was a good reaction) “Yes, give me an Iino Miko episode. I would love that,” “Other people serve as mirrors for ourselves,” “That never happened. That never happened. This is a fanfic,” “Yes, there is always hope in Chika,” “We’re a season and a half in and all they’re doing is f-ing around,” “The things that were the most life-changing or turned out that way were often initially the things that I hated the most or had the most thoughts about quitting initially,” “It makes total intuitive sense why the things that are gonna be the most beneficial are going to be the biggest struggle at first. It’s because it’s something that you don’t have yet. It’s because it’s something that threatens to decalcify the rigid sense of beliefs you’ve built around yourself,” “-the more of a weapon you become,” “Quitting is rarely the right instinct,” “It’s not a sex cult. Go figure,” “People are people and they need what they need and they’re going to get it one way or the other,” “He’s my everything. He’s my world. He’s my salvation. He’s my hope for living a somewhat decent life,” Narrator: It’s a method of relaxing one’s mental state by executing a predefined action. Goodwin: Like eating a tiny man who has a family “Are we producing oxytocin right now?” “Good job, Alex. It’s because I watch this perverted sex show everyday,” “A lot of the time, the popular kids are like, just the best kids. That’s why they’re popular,” “You end up glorifying a world that you once resented,” (DANG that one hit hard) *strangled gasp* (then in the most horrified, hushed tone of voice) “oh no. oh no why why did you do that” “I see he went to the Demon Slayer Entertainment arc school of makeup,” “You might as well put your best foot forward while you’re there,”
