“Dang he’s… out of his mind” Basically sums up Todo.

The best friendoship has been formed! It almost brings me to tears. A few episodes back, a request for the characters' personal romantic tastes was brought up. Can't believe you predicted the Juju Stroll haha. Now just waiting for the next prediction....

As a manga reader, I have been so impressed with your reactions! You’ve understood the varying trajectories of the storyline waaaay further out. I didn’t want to comment this under the episode you were most right on so that there is no chance of verifying your guess. I really can not WAIT for JJK to air again.

Mai doesn’t mention her type because it was clear with Takada that she’s into girls. Todo will make Mai his best friend if he learns her type of woman is literally his celebrity crush.

I think the important line for those that just accepted Yuji needing to be killed was that because he is the vessel for Sukuna he is classified as a curse now. He isn't human. He was stripped of that title the moment he ate the finger. The audience obviously understands the distinction, and its a truly important one, but in the world of jujutsu sorcerers, a curse is a curse is a curse. Yuji was meant to be killed post episode 1 in their minds. Its clear cut. Its only because of Gojo's massive influence that he lived, and the experiences of his fellow students that he isnt just a curse in their minds. But, in addition to just sort of orthodox thinking, I think the various characters get fleshed out at least enough to where you either understand why they simply go along with orthodoxy or are fearful to truly oppose it.

Athena

I believe when Todo was objecting the assassination order on Yuji it was more so him just wanting to leave the conversation because Takeda-chan was on tv lol But everything you said about his character and morals are pretty much spot on!

I swear man its all the small moments in this show that just do it for me. When Todo asks Yuuji if he's okay with not being friends, and gives an indifferent answer; then Todo clarifies by asking if he's okay with being weak, and Yuuji hits him with the "Hell No!" Never fails to make me smile.

I'll give a - 1 on top anime betrayals. I still got my eye on you

Todo: Takada says "Men are perfect when they're a little dumb," Goodwin: The Gospel as according to Takada Me, hiding my hundred page comp of quote comps: This is not familiar in any sense whatsoever

The first major point is the one you made- Yuji was considered a curse the moment he ate Sukuna's finger. And the second most important point is something Guro says that ties into Yuji- what are you going to do when someone you saved kills someone else in the future? It's not even that the JJ sorcerers don't understand that there is a human beyond Yuji being reincarnated as Sukuna. They're conditioned into taking out all the curses and Yuji is one of a kind they've never seen before. Yet because they don't understand what to expect of this and how long Yuji can hold back Sukuna, they believe it's better to kill him than risk a Sukuna rampage killing multiple people. They're basically blindsided by their fear of the unknown and also taking precautions so one day it doesn't come down to people being killed because of Sukuna/Yuji. Not to forget, they probably have a good idea what a terrifying and horrendous curse Sukuna is and what it entails for the JJK world if he were to somehow gain the upper hand over Yuji(we already know he's plotting, he even created a pact with him). And it doesn't help that Gojo is super reckless and feeds Yuji the fingers behind their backs whenever possible😂

Ah yes, kpop idols are totally not interested in dating! Being around other hot people who understand what you’re going through with all the rigorous schedules and tight restrictions? No way! Why would they be interested?/s lol I’ve been into kpop for the last 7 or 8 years and at this point I’m just exhausted. It’s really fucking strange just how many contradictory things people will want from the idols. They have to be very charismatic and charming, but also the fans want to gush about how uwu cute they can be. They have to be super sexy on stage, but also a virgin, and not breathe the same air as someone of the opposite sex. It’s about the dUaLiTy. Idk I couldn’t imagine caring that much about someone’s personal life. Gahyeon from Dreamcatcher (my ult of ults) isn’t going to be paying my college tuition or my bills, so I gotta focus on my own life lol. Okay onto stuff in the actual episode lol. I never expected to like Todo as much as I do cuz he isn’t the type of character I usually go for. He’s so bizarre! Lol and he even let himself get rejected in his own fantasy just so Yuuji could comfort him. I also really enjoy just how small the jujutsu world feels compared to mha. Being a sorcerer is such a rare (and dangerous) thing that it makes sense why all the overly cautious/power hungry old folks are in charge. The kids aren’t bad kids per-say, they’re just brought up in a world smaller than our own, while having to worry about large consequences. You can really only hope that things get straightened out for them without anything dire happening.

Lol exactly :D How could anyone be tempted to date in a world of idols? There's a lot of weird expectations from fans as you said... I guess part of what's being sold is a fantasy.

“That is such a terrible idea and I love it,” “This is making me want to run. And that’s saying something,” “That’s the pacifist option to this fight: girl talk,” “I see you went to the Levi school of dealing with your underlings,” “That’s the face of compassion right there,” “I know you’re a protagonist and everything, but you have head trauma,” Todo: Takada says "Men are perfect when they're a little dumb," Goodwin: The Gospel as according to Takada “Imagine all the big asses they could worship together,” (Flashbacks to Goodwin’s first reaction to Mt. Lady) (the whole idol/fan relationship talk but I can’t type that much rn lol) “And then, Quidditch,”/“Off to find the Snitch I go,” “Giving bonito flakes dude a run for his money,” “Any fan of Gojo’s is a friend of mine,”

Neubaufahrzeug

Todo to me seems like someone who knows he's at the top which is allowing for his free spirit like Gojo. He isn't scheming with the others to rise up in rank. Instead of thinking of yuji as not human he instead went with his own judgement as wired as it is. He's going about things his own way to the point where the second anyone get in his way he threatened to kill then even the principal.

MAI BESTO FURENDO

Konan

your point at the end is exactly why Gojo became a teacher. You see the priority of the Kyoto students and the Tokyo students and how different their morals are? How Miwa is different than the others and how she likes Gojo? Gojo is trying to influence the next generation, and those who are affected by him are inherently better overall? Well, that's what I believe anyways.

Travis

Nobara's type said she can't stand a UBSSD, which is translated in another version as: Useless, Broke, Smelly, Stingy, and Dead

Jake White
>>87181894

The fact that she feels the need to point out that ‘dead’ isn’t her type, is ridiculously goofy tbh lol

Jake White
>>87181894

Also now that i think about it...aren’t ‘Broke’ and ‘Stingy’ a little redundant to begin with? Lol

benj

Miwa is indeed best girl Goodwin, welcome to the light. Also this is easily one of my fav episodes in all of JJK, I would say its a top 3 episode for sure. Todo is the MAN. The GIGACHAD that defeats all other GIGACHAD's. For me, Todo and Gojo will always be my two fav characters by far from this first season, they are both up there when it comes to my favorite anime characters of all time.
