Poison of Shame. (Patreon)

A bitter-tasting poison. Even just one small drop causes you to cringe as you recall embarrassing past memories and moments of crippling guilt.

Assuming the drinker was below 10 hitpoints, they could literally die of embarrassment. And that's great storytelling.

The thought behind this was thinking of items that subtly tap into a creature's emotions. I'm surprised there aren't many enchantment spells that explore this beyond 'calm emotions', 'cause fear' and perhaps 'hideous laughter'.

Shame is incredibly powerful and for many overshadows our actions and behavior. It would definitely make for an insidious poison.

I'm also thinking of making a 'Pride potion' as perhaps the extreme opposite, granting overconfidence and recklessness...perhaps both items work as antidotes to the other! thoughts?
